The Federal Institute of Brasília (Portuguese: Instituto Federal de Brasília, IFB), or in full: Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Brasília (Portuguese: Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília) is an Institute of Technology located at the capital of Brazil that offers different types of degrees and operating often at variable levels of the educational system. It is an institution of Higher education and professional vocational education, specializing in science, engineering, and technology or different sorts of technical subjects. It is also a secondary education school focused on vocational training and applied Scientific research. IFB has the objective of forming ethical citizens and professionals and of being an institution involved with society. Its actions point toward the development of new technologies, cultural and social investments and the formation of critical citizens. The student's abilities are improved and testes through the courses, helping them to develop the "know-how", and values concerning all the areas.

Lago Norte (Portuguese pronunciation: [laɡu nɔʁtʃi]; lit. North Lake) is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. Located to the north side of Paranoá Lake, it is bordered by Brasília, Sobradinho II, and Sobradinho to the north, Itapoã and Paranoá to the east. Lago Norte shares a maritime border with Lago Sul, Paranoá, and Brasília through the Paranoá Lake. It completely surrounds the administrative region of Varjão. Most of its inhabited area is located on a peninsula of Lake Paranoá. Lago Norte is home to the Brasilia Digital TV Tower. Lago Norte was founded on January 10, 1960, receiving the status of administrative region, according to Law 641, of January 10, 1994. In a 2010 report, its population was 41,627. Its current administrator is Marcelo Ferreira da Silva.

SENAI is one of the most important institutions in the country providing formal training for specialized workers for the industry, in the areas of chemistry, mechanics, construction, etc. SENAI has 744 operational units in all states of the Union, which offer more than 1,800 courses. SENAI is part of an integrated social action system which was founded by industry and political leaders in the 1950s, under the leadership of Euvaldo Lodi, which includes SESI (Social Service for Industry), and the Instituto Euvaldo Lodi.

TV Globo Brasília (channel 10) is a television station licensed to Brasília, Federal District, Brazil serving as the TV Globo station for the capital and its surrounding areas, owned-and-operated by Grupo Globo. Due to difficult reception in some areas, the station also operates on channel 20 UHF in Gama and Brazlândia. Its studios are in the North Radio and Television Sector (SRTVN), in the North Wing of Plano Piloto, and its transmitters are in the Brasília Digital TV Tower, in the administrative region of Lago Norte.

The Cláudio Santoro National Theater (Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro) is a multi-theater building in Brasília, Brazil. It was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the Modern architectural style. Construction began on July 30, 1960, and the building was completed in 1966. Built in the shape of a truncated pyramid, it is the largest building in Brasilia designed by Niemeyer specifically for the arts. The building was closed for renovation in 1976, and was reopened on April 21, 1981. The National Theater is operated by Secretary of Culture of the Federal District and is home to three venues; the 60-seat Alberto Nepomuceno theater, the 407-seat Martins Pena theater, and the 1,407 seat Villa-Lobos theater. The complex also includes an exhibition gallery that is accessible to the public.The Theater has been under renovation for more than two years and remains closed to the public.

Shopping Conjunto Nacional (Joint National Mall) is the first shopping center in Brasília, and the second mall to be built in Brazil. It was opened in 1971 and is located near the bus station in the Central Zone of Brasília. It is the largest mall in the Federal District and is among the top 30 of Brazil, with 320 stores and 118,100 square meters built.

Kubitschek Plaza is a luxurious 5-star hotel located in Brasília, Brazil. It is named after President Juscelino Kubitschek, founder of Brasília. Its part of the Plaza Brasília Hotels along with Manhattan Plaza, Brasília Palace and St. Paul Plaza. The hotel comprises 389 suites and apartments distributed on 17 floors, 2 restaurants, 3 bars, a swimming pool, sauna and fitness center, a business center and facilities for meetings and conventions.

The 1985 Brazilian Grand Prix (officially known as the XIV Grande Prêmio do Brasil) was a Formula One motor race held at Jacarepaguá in Jacarepaguá, Rio de Janeiro on 7 April 1985. It was the first round of the 1985 Formula One World Championship, and marked the 13th edition of the Brazilian Grand Prix as a round of the World Championship since its inception in 1950. Alain Prost, driving for McLaren was the defending race winner heading into the race. In qualifying, Ferrari driver, Michele Alboreto took pole, his second of his career. In the race, he would finish second on the podium behind eventual race winner, Prost while Elio de Angelis rounded out the podium in the Lotus car. Of note, even though René Arnoux finished 4th for Ferrari, he was sacked after the race, with both the team and Arnoux never revealing the reason behind the sacking. The driver who finished 7th in this race, Stefan Johansson, was picked up by the Scuderia for the rest of the year. This race was also Nigel Mansell's first race of seven seasons with the Williams team.

Brasília (; Portuguese: [bɾaˈziljɐ]) is the federal capital of Brazil and seat of government of the Federal District. The city is located high in the Brazilian highlands in the country's Central-West region. It was founded by President Juscelino Kubitschek on 21 April 1960, to serve as the new national capital. Brasília is estimated to be Brazil's third-most populous city. Among major Latin American cities, it has the highest GDP per capita.Brasília was a planned city developed by Lúcio Costa, Oscar Niemeyer and Joaquim Cardozo in 1956 in a scheme to move the capital from Rio de Janeiro to a more central location. The landscape architect was Roberto Burle Marx. The city's design divides it into numbered blocks as well as sectors for specified activities, such as the Hotel Sector, the Banking Sector, and the Embassy Sector. Brasília was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 due to its modernist architecture and uniquely artistic urban planning. It was named "City of Design" by UNESCO in October 2017 and has been part of the Creative Cities Network since then.All three branches of Brazil's federal government are centered in the city: executive, legislative and judiciary. Brasília also hosts 124 foreign embassies. The city's international airport connects it to all other major Brazilian cities and some international destinations, and it is the third-busiest airport in Brazil. It was one of the main host cities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and hosted some of the football matches during the 2016 Summer Olympics; it also hosted the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup. The city has a unique status in Brazil, as it is an administrative division rather than a legal municipality like other cities in Brazil. Although Brasília is used as a synonym for the Federal District through synecdoche, the Federal District is composed of 33 administrative regions, only one of which is the area of the originally planned city, also called Plano Piloto. The rest of the Federal District is considered by IBGE to make up Brasília's metro area.

Central is a Federal District Metro brazilian station on Orange and Green lines. It was opened on 31 March 2001 as the northern terminus of the inaugural section of the line, from Central to Terminal Samambaia and Praça do Relógio. The adjacent station is Galería.
