Staging Point (Polish: Punkt etapowy) is one of five drawings depicting the life of children in the Warsaw ghetto in the collection of the Jewish Historical Institute, Warsaw. The author of the drawings is an unknown draftsman, but they are signed "Rozenfeld". The drawing was made, most probably, between autumn and winter of 1941 and commissioned as part of the Ringelblum Archive - which has been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register in 1999.The drawing is set at 5/7 Stawki Street, which was used to hold Jewish children arrested by the "Blue police" outside the ghetto district. The "staging point" was the place where arrested children would wait for their parents, who were obliged to pay a fine. Orphans would instead be sent to an orphanage.The drawing depicts a group of seven children arrested by the Jewish Ghetto Police for the crime of smuggling food.

The Jewish Historical Institute (Polish: Żydowski Instytut Historyczny or ŻIH; Yiddish: ‏ייִדישער היסטאָרישער אינסטיטוט), also known as the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute, is a public cultural and research instution in Warsaw, Poland, chiefly dealing with the history of Jews in Poland and Jewish culture.

Tłomackie is a small street in Warsaw, Poland, in the area of Śródmieście, next to Plac Bankowy. Initially a small village square of the settlement of the same name, with time it was incorporated into the city of Warsaw and retained its traditional name. Among its most notable buildings was the monumental Great Synagogue. Blown up by the Germans in the aftermath of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising during World War II, the Great Synagogue was not rebuilt after the war. The square itself was reduced to a tiny street with only one building, while the rest of the former square has been taken over by al. Solidarności (street) and the Blue Skyscraper (Błękitny Wieżowiec).

Błękitny Wieżowiec (eng. Blue Skyscraper) is a building located at Bank Square in Warsaw. The building is located in the location previously occupied by Warsaw's largest synagogue, the Great Synagogue, which was destroyed by the Germans in 1943. Initial concepts for the construction of the skyscraper had been put forward in the 1950s, and construction began in the 1970s and was suspended shortly after the main structure was built. The unfinished construction was then often called the "golden tower" because of the colour of the facade. The work resumed in the late 1960s and 1970s and was completed in 1981. The project was modified by a Belgrade-based company, replacing the copper-coloured facade with colourless reflective material, which gives a clear reflection of the sky (hence the current name, due to the building being blue during sunny weather). The skyscraper is 120 meters high and has 28 stories. Prominent former tenants include Peugeot and Sony. Both of these companies previously installed large signs on the building, which have been taken down since

Plac Bankowy (English: 'Bank Square', formerly Plac Dzierżyńskiego) is one of Warsaw's principal squares. Located in the downtown district, adjacent to the Saxon Garden and Warsaw Arsenal, it is also a principal public-transport hub, with bus and streetcar stops and a Warsaw Metro station.

The Juliusz Słowacki Monument (Polish: Pomnik Juliusza Słowackiego is a bronze statue in Warsaw, Poland, placed in front of the Palace of the Ministry of Revenues and Treasury at 3 and 5 Bank Square, within the North Downtown neighbourhood. It is dedicated to Juliusz Słowacki, a 19th-century poet and writer, and a major figure in the Polish Romantic period. The statue was originally designed by Edward Wittig in 1932, with monument being unvailed on 29 September 2001.

The Great Synagogue of Warsaw (Polish: Wielka Synagoga w Warszawie) was one of the grandest synagogues constructed in Poland in the 19th century. At the time of its opening, it was the largest Jewish house of worship in the world. It was located on Tłomackie street in Warsaw. The synagogue served the acculturated elite of Warsaw's Jewry. Like other such prayer houses in Central and Eastern Europe, its worship was conducted in a relatively modernized fashion, although it did not approach ideological religious reform. Sermons were delivered in Polish rather than Yiddish, an all-male choir accompanied the service, and an organ had been installed, which played only at weddings. Liturgy and other principled issues remained wholly untouched.It was opened on 26 September 1878 in celebration of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). It was blown up personally by SS-Gruppenführer Jürgen Stroop on 16 May 1943. This was the last act of destruction by the Germans in suppressing the Revolt of the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw.

The Museum of Independence (Polish: Muzeum Niepodległości) is a museum in Warsaw, Poland. It was established on 30 January 1990 as the Museum of the History of Polish Independence and Social Movements and is located in the former Przebendowski Palace at al. 'Solidarity' 62, but it also has these branches: X Pavilion Museum at the Warsaw Citadel Museum of Pawiak Prison Mausoleum of Struggle and MartyrdomThe headquarters of the museum was established by the Ministry of Culture and Art in the Przebendowski Palace, which had previously housed the Museum of Vladimir Lenin (1955–1989).The museum covers the history of Polish battles and aspirations for independence from the Kościuszko Uprising to the modern day.In 1991, the facility received its current name. In 1992, the Museum of Independence received the status of a National Cultural Institution. From 1990 to 2009 the director was Andrzej Stawarz. Currently the director of the facility is T. Skoczek.

The Stefan Starzyński monument (Pomnik Stefana Starzyńskiego) in Bank Square in Warsaw is one of two Warsaw monuments dedicated to the memory of the former President of Warsaw, Stefan Starzyński. It is the work of sculptor Andrzej Renes. It is on the eastern side of the square, on the sidewalk in front of the Błękitny Wieżowiec (Blue Skyscraper). The unveiling of the monument took place on November 10，1993, to celebrate the hundredth year of the birth of President. The statue is cast in bronze and set on a granite pedestal. The intention of the author was to present the form of Starzyński leaning over a map of the city of Warsaw.

Przebendowski Palace is a palace in Warsaw, built in the first half of the 18th century for Jan Jerzy Przebendowski. It is now located between the carriageways of the main road 62 "Solidarności" Avenue (the former address was 14 Bielańska).

The Museum of John Paul II Collection (Polish: Muzeum Kolekcji im. Jana Pawła II) in Warsaw, also known as the Porczyński Gallery or Carroll-Porczyński Collection, is a museum dedicated to its painting collection, which is housed in the building of the former stock exchange and National Bank. It is considered one of the finest collections of European art in Warsaw. The collection includes around 400 exhibits mainly Old Masters and the Impressionists along with some copies of masterpieces of European painting.

The Stock Exchange and Bank of Poland Building (Polish: Gmach Giełdy i Banku Polskiego) is a historic neoclassical commercial building in Warsaw, Poland, located at 1 Bank Square, within the North Downtown neighbourhood. It was designed by Antonio Corazzi and Jan Jakub Gay, and constructed between 1825 and 1828. The building originally housed the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Bank of Poland. Currently, it houses the Museum of John Paul II Collection, an art gallery being a branch of the Museum of John Paul II and Primate Wyszyński which displays a collection of around 400 paintings, mainly copies of masterpieces of European painters.
