Injeongmun

Injeongjeon (Korean: 인정전; Hanja: 仁政殿; MR: Injŏngjŏn; lit. 'Hall of Benevolent Governance') is the throne hall and main building of the palace Changdeokgung in Seoul, South Korea. It is a designated National Treasure of South Korea. It was built around c. 1405 and was destroyed and rebuilt a number of times thereafter. Its current iteration was built in 1804.

Huijeongdang (Korean: 희정당; Hanja: 熙政堂; MR: Hŭijŏngdang; lit. 'Peaceful Governance Hall') is a major hall in the palace Changdeokgung in Seoul, South Korea. It is a designated Treasure of South Korea.

Donhwamun (Korean: 돈화문; Hanja: 敦化門; MR: Tonhwamun) is the main and south gate of the palace Changdeokgung in Seoul, South Korea. It is a designated Treasure of South Korea and the oldest extant gate of all Joseon palaces. It was completed in 1412, destroyed in 1592, rebuilt in 1607 or 1608, and has since survived to the present.

Daejojeon (Korean: 대조전; Hanja: 大造殿; MR: Taejojŏn; lit. 'Achieving Greatness Hall') is a major hall in the palace Changdeokgung in Seoul, South Korea. It was used as the main living quarters for the king and office of the queen. It is now a designated Treasure of South Korea.

Wonseo-dong is a dong, neighbourhood of Jongno-gu in Seoul, South Korea. It is a legal dong (법정동 法定洞) administered under its administrative dong (행정동 行政洞), Gahoe-dong.

Tteok Museum is a museum located in Waryong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Founded by Yoon Sookja, the chief director of the Institute of Traditional Korean Food (한국전통음식연구소), it opened in December, 2002. The museum specializes in Korean cutlery with approximately 2,000 old Korean kitchen utensils from ancient maetdol (맷돌, grinding stones) to early 20th century kitchenwares on display and exhibits 50 of Korea's nearly 200 types of tteok (Korean rice cake).

Jongmyo (Hangul: 종묘; Hanja: 宗廟) is a Confucian shrine dedicated to the perpetuation of memorial services for the deceased kings and queens of the Korean Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). According to UNESCO, the shrine is the oldest royal Confucian shrine preserved and the ritual ceremonies continue a tradition established in the 14th century. Such shrines existed during the Three Kingdoms of Korea period (57–668), but these have not survived. The Jongmyo Shrine was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1995.Jongmyo is adjacent to Changdeok Palace and Changgyeong Palace in the south. They used to be connected in the Joseon period, but were separated by a road built by Japanese colonists. Currently, there is a construction plan to recover the original structure of the shrine. The main buildings of Jongmyo were constructed in October 1394 when Taejo, founder and first king of Joseon, moved the capital to Hanseong (present-day Seoul). The shrine was destroyed by fire in the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592–1598), then rebuilt in early 1600s.

Unhyeongung (Korean: 운현궁; Hanja: 雲峴宮), also known as Unhyeongung Royal Residence, is a former Korean royal residence located at 114-10 Unni-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea. It was formerly the residence of the Heungseon Daewongun a prince regent of Korea during the Joseon Dynasty in the 19th century, and father of Emperor Gojong. Gojong himself also lived in this residence until age 12 when he assumed the throne. It is currently a museum and is open to the public free of charge.

Daegaksa is a Buddhist temple of the Jogye Order in Seoul, South Korea. It is located in Bongik 2-dong in the Jongno-gu area of the city.

Changgyeong Palace is a palace located in Seoul, South Korea. The palace was built in the mid-15th century by King Sejong for his father, Taejong. It was originally named "Suganggung," but it was renovated and enlarged in 1483 by King Seongjong, at which time it received its current name. Many structures were destroyed during Japan's multiple late 15th to 16th (1592) century attempts to conquer Korea and invade China. It was rebuilt by successive Joseon Kings but was once again largely destroyed by the Japanese in the early 20th century. This time, it was torn down methodically to make room for a modern park, a showplace for the empire, akin to Tokyo's Ueno Park. During the Japanese colonial period, the Japanese built a zoo, botanical garden, and museum on the site. It was called "Changgyeongwon park", the "won" standing for the Korean word 'zoo'. After independence in 1945 and the turmoil and destruction of the 1950-53 Korean War, the zoo was restocked through donations of wealthy Koreans as well as gifts from foreign zoos. In 1983, the zoo and botanical garden were relocated to present-day Seoul Grand Park.

Nagwon Rice Cake (Korean: 낙원떡집; RR: Nagwon Tteokjip) is a historic tteok (Korean rice cake) store in Seoul, South Korea. The business began in the 1910s, possibly in 1912. They opened a permanent storefront in 1956. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has designated it a Seoul Future Heritage and an Oraegage in recognition of its historic value. It has remained a family business; it was run by the third generation of the family by the 2010s.

Chunnyundongando (Korean: 천년동안도; lit. Island of a thousand years) is a jazz club in Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 1996 by Lim Won-bin (임원빈), originally in the Daehangno area. It then moved to Ikseon-dong, then to Nakwon-dong in 2017. The club reportedly holds concerts every day, 365 days a year. Early in the restaurant's history, it was forced to close, due to a law that restricted more than two people performing in a restaurant. Lim filed a lawsuit that eventually ruled in his favor; the law was deemed unconstitutional and was overturned. The business moved from Daehangno because of the area's high rent.
