Captain John's Harbour Boat Restaurant (incorporated as 1518756 Ontario Inc.) was a restaurant and banquet hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. For most of its existence it was located in the MS Jadran, a former Adriatic passenger ship that was permanently docked at the foot of Yonge Street at 1 Queens Quay West on Toronto's waterfront. The ship was moored off on a small laneway at the foot of Yonge Street called Captain John's Pier. Once a prestige destination, the restaurant was open every day of the year, including all major holidays such as Christmas and New Year's Day, for almost 40 years. When it opened, the waterfront was an industrial portland. The Harbourfront redevelopment turned the area into a recreational destination for residents and tourists and a residential neighbourhood; Captain John's helped begin a gentrification process that ultimately claimed it as a victim.

One Yonge Street (previously known as the Toronto Star Building) is a 25-storey office building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The building served as the headquarters of Torstar and its flagship newspaper, the Toronto Star, from 1971 to 2022. It is 100 metres (330 feet) tall and built in the International style. It was built as a replacement to the Old Toronto Star Building, which was located at 80 King Street West. That building was torn down to make room for First Canadian Place. 1 Yonge Street is located in Queens Quay, and marks the foot of what was Highway 11, mistakenly believed to be "the longest street in the world". The building also housed the printing presses for the Toronto Star's print edition until 1992, when a new press centre was opened in Vaughan, Ontario. The finished newspaper content is sent electronically to the plant where the plates are burnt and the paper is printed and distributed. The editorial content of the newspaper was produced by employees working on the fifth floor.The office space at One Yonge Street is leased out to a variety of other companies, including Pinnacle International, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, Ontario Cannabis Retail Corporation, RL Solutions, Starbucks, Luminus Financial, a dental office, and the downtown Toronto campus of Collège Boréal.Torstar sold the building and its surrounding property to a private holding company in 2000 for $40 million, but the newspaper continued to occupy several floors of the building on a long-term lease. In December 2021, the Toronto Star announced that it would vacate the building and move its offices to The Well, an office complex that hosts other companies, in 2022. The move was completed in November 2022.

Sugar Wharf is a mixed-use development currently under construction at Queens Quay East, across the street from the Redpath Sugar Refinery, in Toronto, Ontario. It will contain five high-rise condo towers ranging in height from 64 to 90 storeys, a mid-rise rental residential building, and a multi level retail space that will contain a grocery store and an LCBO. All buildings will be connected to the PATH network.The development is projected to house 8,000 residents.The 4.7-hectare (12-acre) parcel cost $260 million when purchased in May 2016. Originally, the central building on the site was the headquarters of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, and a large attached warehouse.

Pinnacle One Yonge is a mixed-use development currently under construction in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It will consist of six skyscrapers ranging in height from 22 to 105 storeys tall. The building known as the SkyTower will be Canada's tallest building.In November 2022, the developer Pinnacle International submitted an application to the City of Toronto to increase the height of the two tallest towers. The proposal will add 10 storeys to SkyTower, an increase from 95 to 105 storeys, increasing its height from 312 metres to 346 metres, making it the tallest building in Toronto, as well as potentially the tallest residential building in the world by floor count. The 80-storey third tower would see 12 storeys added, becoming 92 storeys tall. The total height would be increased from 264 metres to 306 metres. In November 2023, the city's Planning Department recommended the increases for approval by City Council.

The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (formerly called the Toronto Island Ferry Docks) is the ferry slip for Toronto Island ferries operated by the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division. Three ferry routes provide transportation between mainland Toronto and Centre Island, Hanlan's Point and Ward's Island in the Toronto Islands, with levels of service to each destination differing depending on time of year. The Toronto Island Ferry Docks were renamed the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in 2013 to honour Jack Layton, who served as a Toronto city councillor, and was later leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) and leader of the Official Opposition.

Harbour Square Park is a park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada right on the Toronto harbour. It is next to the Harbour Square condos, the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal and the Westin Harbour Castle. It is south of Queens Quay and adjacent to the Queens Quay streetcar station. It contains a boardwalk and a permanent public art installation.
