Bergen County Technical High School, also known as Bergen Tech (BT), is a four-year, tuition-free public magnet high school located in Teterboro, New Jersey serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. Bergen Tech is part of the Bergen County Technical Schools, a countywide district that also includes Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, Applied Technology in Paramus, and Bergen Tech in Paramus. The school is nationally recognized, as students have the opportunity to be engaged in a technical major while fulfilling college preparatory classes and having the opportunity to take a wide variety of electives. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 678 students and 68.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.0:1. There were 39 students (5.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 12 (1.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Bergen Tech is a member of the National Consortium for Specialized Secondary Schools of Mathematics, Science and Technology and the Coalition of Essential Schools. The 1937 Fox vault fire was a major fire that broke out in a 20th Century-Fox film-storage facility in Little Ferry, New Jersey, United States, on July 9, 1937. Flammable nitrate film had previously contributed to several fires in film-industry laboratories, studios, and vaults, although the precise causes were often unknown. In Little Ferry, gases produced by decaying film, combined with high temperatures and inadequate ventilation, resulted in spontaneous combustion. One death and two injuries resulted from the fire, which also destroyed all the archived film in the vaults, resulting in the loss of most of the silent films produced by the Fox Film Corporation before 1932. Also destroyed were negatives from Educational Pictures to Belarusfilm (with which Fox was then affiliated) and films of several other studios. The fire brought attention to the potential for decaying nitrate film to spontaneously ignite and changed the focus of film preservation efforts to include a greater focus on fire safety.

Teterboro ( TEE-tər-bər-oh) is a borough in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 61, a decrease of 6 (−9.0%) from the 2010 census count of 67, which in turn reflected an increase of 49 (+272.2%) from the 18 counted in the 2000 census. Teterboro Airport (IATA: TEB, ICAO: KTEB, FAA LID: TEB) is a general aviation relief airport in the boroughs of Teterboro, Moonachie, and Hasbrouck Heights in Bergen County, New Jersey. It is owned and managed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and operated by AFCO AvPORTS Management. The airport is in the New Jersey Meadowlands, 12 miles (19 km) from Midtown Manhattan, which makes it popular for private and corporate aircraft. The airport has a weight limit of 100,000 pounds (45,000 kg) on aircraft, making it nonviable as an airline airport. The airport takes up almost all of Teterboro and consists of 827 acres (3.35 km2): 90 acres (0.36 km2) for aircraft hangar and offices, 408 acres (1.65 km2) for aeronautical use and runways, and 329 acres (1.33 km2) undeveloped. The airport has more than 1,137 employees, of whom more than 90% are full-time. In April 2009, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the airport had the third highest rate of wildlife strikes of any airport in the United States, based on takeoffs and landings (43 per 100,000).Teterboro is home to many private aviation charter companies flying nationally and globally.

South Hackensack is a township in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 2,701, an increase of 323 (+13.6%) from the 2010 census count of 2,378, which in turn reflected an increase of 129 (+5.7%) from the 2,249 counted in the 2000 census.South Hackensack was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on November 15, 1935, replacing Lodi Township, based on the results of a referendum held November 5, 1935, which passed by a margin of 309 to 15. The township's name derives from its location relative to Hackensack.

The 1985 Teterboro collision occurred on November 10, 1985, when a Dassault Falcon 50 executive jet belonging to Nabisco Brands Inc. and a Piper Cherokee collided over Teterboro Airport in New Jersey. Six people died in the accident: all five aboard both aircraft and one person on the ground; another eight were injured.

Teterboro is a commuter railroad station for NJ Transit in the borough of Hasbrouck Heights, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The station is located on the Pascack Valley Line near U.S. Route 46 (US 46) and Teterboro Airport between Wood-Ridge and Essex Street. Teterboro station consists of one low-level platform with a shelter accessible at the Catherine Street and US 46 ramps.
