Mikhail Ptukha

Ilya Shtilman (3 December [O.S. 20 November] 1902 – 11 August 1966) was a Soviet painter, art teacher and professor (from 1947) who was born and died in Kyiv.

Baikove Cemetery (Ukrainian: Байкове кладовище) is a historic cemetery memorial in Holosiiv Raion of Kyiv, Ukraine. It is a National Historic Landmark of Ukraine and is known as a necropolis of distinguished people. It was established in 1833. Among the buried, it includes Leonid Kravchuk, Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, Lesya Ukrainka, Slava Stetsko, Viacheslav Chornovil, Oles Honchar, Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky, Danylo Lyder, Olena Pchilka, Mykhailo Starytsky, Oleksandr Bilash, Ostap Vyshnya, Ivan Mykolaychuk, Volodymyr Shcherbytsky, Leonid Telyatnikov, Mikhail Vaschenko-Zakharchenko, Oleg Antonov, Viktor Bannikov and Valeri Lobanovsky and the soldier that raised the soviet flag over Berlin: Aleksey Kovalev.

Protasiv Yar (Ukrainian: Протасів Яр) is a historical neighborhood located in Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi (districts) of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is located between Baikova and Batyieva Mountains. Protasiv Yar railway station is located in the lower part of the neighborhood, close to Lybid River. Yar means gully, and Protas is a male name, supposedly of a local villager or a former owner of the area. The forest area estimates approximately 30 ha. The local activists fought to protect this area from illegal construction for several years; in 2018 Roman Ratushnyi founded Save Protasiv Yar initiative, which was later institutionalised. In July 2022, the Kyiv City Council supported the decision to create a landscape reserve on both slopes of Protasiv Yar in Kyiv.

Protasiv Yar (Ukrainian: Протасів Яр) is a ski complex close to the downtown of Kyiv, Ukraine. It is self-administered and was given a special status as the center for Olympic preparations. There are several pistes and some with light for night skiing. There is snowmaking available if little or no snow is present. For snowboarding Protasiv Yar has a special snowboarding park. Also equipment rental and a small cafe are open for winter sports lovers.

The State Archival Service of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Державна архівна служба України, romanized: Derzhavna arkhivna sluzhba Ukraini) or Ukrderzharkhiv (Ukrainian: Укрдержархів) is a Ukrainian government agency that implements state policy regarding the keeping of archives and record, function of state system of documentation security fund as well as an inter-trade coordination on matters within its competence. In 2010, the service was reorganised based on the State Committee of Archives (DerzhKomArchiv). The agency is part of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine since 1999. Between 1947 and 1960, it belonged to the NKVD. Ukrderzharkhiv has been a member of the International Council on Archives since 1956.

Palats Ukraina (Ukrainian: Палац Україна, ) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 30 December 1984, and is named after Ukraine's biggest concert hall located near it. The architecture was designed by A.S. Krushynskyi, T.A. Tselikovska, N. Alyoskin, with other design by S. Kirichenko and R. Kirichenko. Before 1991, the station was known as Chervonoarmiyska (Ukrainian: Червоноармійська, "Red Army") after the former name of the Velyka Vasylkivska street above it. All Soviet decorations in the station (thus including the ones pictured below) were removed due to 2015 decommunization laws.

The Church of St. Nicholas (Ukrainian: Костел Св. Миколая, translit.: Kostel Sviatoho Mykolaia; Polish: Kościół Świętego Mikołaja w Kijowie) is the second oldest Catholic church standing in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine after the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Cathedral. Today the building is shared between the Catholic Church and the National Organ and Chamber Music Hall of Ukraine. It was constructed in 1899–1909 and was built by the Latin Church Catholic community in a Gothic type construction, by architects Władysław Horodecki and Emilio Sala. It stands at vulytsia Velyka Vasylkivska (Greater Vasylkiv street) in Pechersk Raion next to the Kyiv National Linguistic University between the National Sports Complex Olimpiysky and the Railroad station Kyiv-Tovarny.

The National Organ and Chamber Music Hall of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Національний будинок органної та камерної музики України) is a cultural institution in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is located at the St. Nicholas Cathedral which it shares with the Roman Catholic Church of Ukraine. A hall of the church was rebuilt as a concert hall in February 1980.

Kyiv National Linguistic University (Ukrainian: Київський національний лінгвістичний університет) is a public university located in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was founded in 1948 as Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. Demiivska (Ukrainian: Демiïвська, ) is the first station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line's Holosiiv-Teremky extension opened on 15 December 2010. It is situated on the "Holosiivski" avenue. It serves the residential areas around, the major marketplace Demiivskyi Rynok, and the cities central intercity bus station.

Demiivska Square (Ukrainian: Деміївська площа) is one of the squares of Kyiv, Ukraine. Located in the historical area Demiivka (southern Kyiv), emerged in the XIXth century and had name Market Square (Базарна), but commonly known as Demiivska after the name of former city suburb. After construction of Central Bus Station has received name Bus Station Square (Автовокзальна). From 1969 the square had name Moscow Square (Московська).Current name is from 2016.The square is an intersection of several streets and avenues Holosiivskyi and Lobanoskoho.
