Belgrave Hall is a Queen Anne-style Grade II* listed building in Belgrave. It is located on the northern edge of the city of Leicester.

Belgrave is an area, suburb, electoral ward and administrative division of the city of Leicester, England. Belgrave is the location of and known for the National Space Centre, Space Park Leicester, the Golden Mile and Belgrave Hall. The old Belgrave Village, containing the Belgrave Conservation Area, including Belgrave Hall, St Peter's Church and The Talbot Inn is to the west of Loughborough Road and to the east of the River Soar.

The Abbey Pumping Station is a museum of science and technology in Leicester, England, on Corporation Road, next to the National Space Centre. With four working steam-powered beam engines from its time as a sewage pumping station, it also houses exhibits for transport, public health, light and optics, toys and civil engineering.

The National Space Centre is a museum and educational resource covering the fields of space science and astronomy, along with a space research programme in partnership with the University of Leicester. It is located on the north side of the city in Belgrave, Leicester, England, next to the River Soar. Many of the exhibits, including upright rockets, are housed in a tower with minimal steel supports and a semi-transparent cladding of ETFE 'pillows' which has become one of Leicester's most recognisable landmarks. The National Space Centre is a registered charity with a board of trustees.

The Red Hill filling station on the west of the A6, Loughborough Road, approximately 300 metres (980 ft) north of Red Hill Circle in Birstall near Leicester, became a Grade II listed building in 2012.The petrol filling station is an example of the futuristic "Pegasus" design created by Eliot Noyes for Mobil in the mid-1960s. Noyes may have been inspired by the design by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen for Skovshoved Petrol Station in 1936, German designer Lothar Götz’s new garage in Wiesbaden from the 1950s, and the distinctive forecourt fittings used by AGIP in Italy in the 1960s. The flexible format originally included circular canopies, illuminated from below and supported by tapered central pylons, covering cylindrical steel and black petrol pumps on the garage forecourt, accompanied by a simple brick office, and minimal signage other than the Mobil red Pegasus logo. It was designed to be instantly distinctive and recognisable as a Mobil garage, without distracting signs or poles, and was used on nearly 20,000 new and refurbished filling stations around the world until the 1980s. Changes in ownership meant that eventually many were operated by petrol companies other than Mobil. The six remaining circular canopies at the garage in Leicester, now operated by BP, are thought to be the last surviving examples in the UK.

The Golden Mile is a name given to Belgrave Road in Leicester, England. The origin of the name is often mistakenly attributed to the plethora of shops selling Indian gold jewelry. In actual fact, the name originates from the late 1960s and early 1970s when a rapid succession of yellow-amber traffic lights began to appear along Belgrave Road. The Golden Mile is renowned for its authentic Indian restaurants, sari shops and jewellers and has been described as "the closest that Britain comes to an Indian bazaar.” This area of the city is also famous for its seasonal lights which combine to celebrate winter festivals including Diwali and Christmas. The Diwali celebrations in Leicester are focused on this area and are the largest outside India. Filming of Jadoo took place on the Golden Mile.

Belgrave and Birstall railway station was a railway station opened by the Great Central Railway in 1899. It served the villages of Belgrave and Birstall in Leicestershire. It closed in 1963. In 1991 Leicester North railway station was opened immediately to the south of Belgrave and Birstall railway station by the preserved Great Central heritage railway. It is representative of the 1960s when the line was under the control of British Railways Midland Region. It is the southern terminus of the railway.

Leicester Belgrave Road was the Great Northern Railway terminus in Leicester, England. It was the terminus of the GNR's branch line from the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway at Marefield Junction.

Rushey Mead Academy, previously known as Rushey Mead School, is a mixed secondary school located in Leicester, Leicestershire, England for students aged 11 to 16. It is part of The Mead Educational Trust which also includes Orchard Mead Academy. It was named as the best state-funded secondary school in Leicester and Leicestershire in 2018.

The Peepul Centre is an arts centre in Belgrave, Leicester. Designed by Andrzej Blonski Architects, the £15 million building was opened in 2005 and houses an auditorium, restaurant, cyber café, gym and dance studio, and is also used for conferences and events. The centre hosted Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other senior Labour Party figures during hustings for the deputy leadership contest. [1]Founded by the Belgrave Baheno Women's Organisation the project was conceived in the 1990s. A few months after its opening, the centre faced financial difficulties in 2007. There are plans for expansion to include an aqua spa and recording studio. [2]

Abbot Penny's Wall is a monastic boundary wall which once partially enclosed the grounds of Leicester Abbey. It stands in Abbey Park to the west of the City of Leicester, England. The wall was built around 1500 by John Penny, Abbot of Leicester from 1496 to 1509. It is a rare example of medieval English brickwork. Restored in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, the wall is now in the care of Leicester City Council and is a Grade I listed structure and a scheduled monument.
