Adile Sultan Pavilion is in Üsküdar, Istanbul, in the Validebağ Grove. It was commissioned as a summer house by Sultan Abdulaziz for his sister Adile Sultan in 1853. This rectangular building's entrance is reached by an imperial staircase. There are big halls inside the pavilion's first and second floors. The doors to both floors lead to the stairhead. It is currently used as a teachers' lodge. The popular Turkish film series Hababam Sınıfı was filmed here, and one of the rooms is used as a Hababam Sınıfı Museum. Its architect was Nigogayos Balyan, who graduated from Collège Sainte-Barbe in Paris.

Altunizade is a neighborhood of Üsküdar district in Istanbul, Turkey. The location takes its name from Altunizade İsmail Zühtü Pasha (1806–1887), a wealthy civil servant in the Ottoman Empire, who established the settlement in an utmost area on the Anatolian part of Istanbul in the 19th century. "Altunizade" means gold trader in the Ottoman Turkish language.

Altunizade Mosque (Turkish: Altunizade Camii), also known as İsmail Zühtü Pasha Mosque (Turkish: İsmail Zühtü Paşa Camii) is a 19th-century Ottoman mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. The mosque is situated in the Altunizade neighborhood of Üsküdar district in Istanbul. It was commissioned by Altunizade İsmail Zühtü Pasha (1806–1887), who is buried in a protected place in the mosque's yard. The mosque was built in 1865. It is probably the last example of Ottoman architecture mosques in the Anatolian part of Istanbul. Initially, the mosque was part of a social complex (Turkish: külliye) consisting of an infant school, a Turkish bath, a time-keeping office for prayer, a fountain, lodgings for the imam, the worship leader, and the muezzin, the caller of prayer, a bakery and some shops. However, only some shops of the social complex of the mosque are preserved. The mosque is today in a very good state.The mosqıe was designed in Baroque Revival architecture, which can be identified at least by its large windows. Mosques built of this style are examples of the last Ottoman Empire era. It is situated in a small courtyard, which has three gates. An inscription is found above the biggest gate. Another inscription is attached to the outside of the wall facing Kaaba in Mecca. The narthex was constructed as a covered place. Three doors in the narthex, one big and two small ones, lead to the sanctuary. An ornamented small mihrab, a niche, is built in the wall of the narthex for prayer during the mosque's closed time. Two wooden staircases flanking the narthex lead to women's and muezzin section. The quadratic-plan mosque was constructed in limestone ashlar. Its inside is plastered. The sanctuary's walls are ornamented with hand-carved figures. The mosque has one dome, which is supported by four arches carried by four columns in the mosque's corners. The dome's inner surface is sliced in 16 zones by eight pieces of two designs. The center of the dome is blue colored to draw attention, and contains a Quran verse. The marble minbar is designed in the form of a drinking glass as seen in Hırka-i Şerif Mosque. The windows are unusual big as an example of the Baroque Revival architectural style. The mosque has one minaret with one balcony. It rises up on a quadratic base. The minaret's spire is made of stone in contrast to the lead sheet covered spires seen in the classical Ottoman mosque architecture. The spire is designed in the form of a grand vizier's turban. A decorative line of stars is found in the mid of the minaret. In the lower row, there are three big windows at the side walls and two big ones flank the wall of mihrab. In the upper row, there are again three windows on each side, however, two small windows flank the big one in the middle.

Capitol Shopping Centre (Turkish: Capitol Alışveriş Merkezi), opened in 1993 in Altunizade neighbourhood of Üsküdar, is the first modern big shopping mall on the Asian part of Istanbul, Turkey. Built on 6 floors and covering an area of 73,000 m², the shopping complex houses 157 retail stores, a department store and an MMM Migros supermarket, 8 movie theaters, fast food restaurants, cafeterias, bowling alley and entertainment center. It houses also Capitol Radio, a private radio station broadcasting from the complex. It has an open air and covered parking lot. Several cafes are located in the area around a huge central spring fountain. Capitol Shopping Centre also has a movie theatre which has 14 different parts. It is one of the biggest and most modern movie theatres in Istanbul.

Üsküdar (Turkish pronunciation: [ysˈcydaɾ]),is a large and densely populated municipality of Istanbul, Turkey, on the Anatolian shore of the Bosphorus. It is bordered to the north by Beykoz, to the east by Ümraniye, to the southeast by Ataşehir and to the south by Kadıköy, with Karaköy, Kabataş and Beşiktaş facing it on the opposite shore. It is home to about half a million people. Üsküdar is a major transport hub, with ferries to Karaköy, Kabataş, Besiktaş and some of the Bosphorus suburbs. Üsküdar is a stop on the Marmaray rail service at the point where it starts its journey under the Bosphorus, re-emerging on the European side at Sirkeci. Via the Marmaray Üsküdar is linked to Gebze on the Asian side of the city and Halkali on the European side. Üsküdar is also a stop on the M5 Metro line to Çekmeköy. Buses run along the Bosphorus shore to Anadaolu Kavağı. A private bus service also operates to Şile on the Black Sea. Üsküdar started life as Chrysopolis (Greek: Χρυσόπολις, 'Golden City') then became known as Scutari (Skoutàrion, Σκουτάριον in Greek), a name it retained until the founding of the Turkish Republic.

Paşakapısı Prison is a small prison located in Üsküdar district of Istanbul, Turkey. First built in 1799 on orders of the Ottoman sultan Selim III as a hunting palace, the facility was used as a school for nuns between 1918 and 1923. In 1928, it was converted to a prison, which it still is at present day (October 2011). Between 2003 and 2008, it had been exclusively used for housing female prisoners. Today, after female prisoners are moved to another facility in 2008, the building still functions as a prison, allocated, this time, for convicted state employees.Probably a remote and forested place in 1799, location of the prison is now engulfed by the metropolitan Istanbul, to such an extent that it is considered one of the central locations in the city. Also owing to poor city planning, the prison is now circled by residential and other governmental buildings. The daily functions and activities of the prison reportedly cause disturbances in the daily lives of the nearby residents.

Bağlarbaşı is an underground station on the M5 line of the Istanbul Metro in Üsküdar. It is located beneath Nuhsuyukuyu Avenue in Altunizade, Üsküdar. Connection to IETT city buses is available from at street level. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks. Since the M5 is an ATO line, protective gates on each side of the platform open only when a train is in the station. Bağlarbaşı station was opened on 15 December 2017, together with eight other stations between Üsküdar and Yamanevler.

Altunizade is a station on the Istanbul Metrobus Bus rapid transit line. It is located on the Istanbul Inner Beltway, within the Altunizade interchange. The station is serviced by four of the seven Metrobus routes.Altunizade station was opened on 3 March 2009 as part of the eastward expansion of the line across the Bosporus.

TVF Burhan Felek Sport Hall, (Turkish: Burhan Felek Spor Salonu) is a volleyball arena located in Üsküdar district of Istanbul, Turkey and reopened on 19 November 2010. It is owned by the Municipality of Kadıköy District and operated by the Directorate of Youth and Sport of Istanbul Province.The women's volleyball teams, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, Fenerbahçe Opet; men's volleyball teams Galatasaray HDI Sigorta and Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta play their league matches.

On 20 May 2004, a car bomb detonated in Acıbadem, Turkey, in the car park of a McDonald's restaurant. No casualties were reported and numerous parked cars were seriously damaged by the explosion. The police, who was informed about a bomb 15 minutes before the attack, evacuated the restaurant and took intense security measures, preventing the loss of life.8 people with connections to the attack were arrested in the week after the attack. After judicial process, it was revealed that they were TİKKO members. It was determined that the individuals were involved in the bombing, as well as an incident that resulted in the killing of 2 soldiers in Tokat.

Üsküdar University, founded by the Human Values and Mental Health Foundation, is the first thematic university of Turkey in the field of Behavioral Health and Sciences.
