The Besht Yeshiva Dresden is a Jewish educational institution in Dresden, Germany and the first founded Yeshiva in East Germany after the Shoah, as well as the first liberal-Hasidic yeshiva in the world. It was named after the founder of the Hasidic movement, Baal Shem Tov.In April 2020 Rabbi Akiva Weingarten founded the Besht Yeshiva in Dresden with the aim of giving Jewish Off the derech's the opportunity to live their Jewishness in a liberal way and to pass on their deep traditional knowledge in the non-Orthodox Jewish communities. The Yeshiva is open to everyone and offers Talmud lessons and Hebrew courses. Another goal of the Yeshiva is to make Jewish life visible and natural again in Dresden. "Besht" is an acronym for the name of the founder of the Hasidic movement, Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov (1700–1760).

The Synagogue Neustadt on Eisenbahnstr. in Dresden is a mid-19th century building, built in 1839 as the main hall of the Leipzig train station in Dresden and was the first long-distance train station in Central Europe that went between the cities Dresden and Leipzig and was an important architectural monument in Germany. The Neustadt Synagogue is the synagogue of the Jewish community of Dresden (German: Jüdische Kultusgemeinde Dresden) since 2022. It is located in the oldest building on the site of the Old Leipzig Station between the Blaue-Fabrik and Hanse 3.

Dresden-Neustadt station (German: Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt) is the second largest railway station in the German city of Dresden after Dresden Hauptbahnhof and is also a stop for long-distance traffic. It is the junction for rail traffic on the northern side of the Elbe. It was built in 1901, replacing the Leipziger Bahnhof (Leipzig line station), which was opened in Leipziger Vorstadt in 1839, and the Schlesischen Bahnhof (Silesian line station), which was opened in 1847. The station building in the district of Innere Neustadt (inner new city) was built in the monumental style that was typical of the time, underlining its importance as a stop for long-distance services. It is linked via the Dresden railway junction and the Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main station) to the Děčín–Dresden railway and to the tracks of the Leipzig–Dresden railway and the Görlitz–Dresden railway, which carry traffic towards Leipzig, Berlin and Upper Lusatia.

The Sächsische Akademie der Künste (Saxon Academy of Arts) is a German cultural organisation for the state of Saxony, based in Dresden.

The Japanisches Palais (English: "Japanese Palace") is a Baroque building in Dresden, Saxony, Germany. It is locate on the Neustadt bank of the river Elbe.

The Dresden Museum of Ethnology (German: Museum für Völkerkunde Dresden) contains an ethnographic collection with more than 90,000 artefacts from all parts of the earth. It is part of the Dresden State Art Collections. Founded in 1875, the museum presents continually changing exhibitions in the Japanisches Palais, a Baroque building complex in Dresden, Germany. The collection has its origins in the cabinet of curiosities established by Augustus, Elector of Saxony in 1560.

The Opernhaus am Zwinger (Opera house at the Zwinger) was a theatre in Dresden, Saxony, Germany, opened in 1719. The architect of the Zwinger, Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann, was also responsible for the opera house situated next to its south-western pavilion. The building replaced the first opera house of Dresden, the Opernhaus am Taschenberg, which was transformed to a church.The three-tier hall seated up to 2000 people and was at the time one of the largest opera houses in Europe. The first performance was on 3 September 1719 Antonio Lotti's Giovi in Argo, followed on 13 September by the premiere of Lotti's Teofane on the occasion of the wedding of prince Friedrich August II, later the elector and as August III king of Poland, and Maria Josepha of Austria. The house flourished when he, an opera enthusiast, reigned as elector, and Johann Adolph Hasse was musical director. Due to the Seven Years' War, the last opera, Hasse's Olimpiade, was performed in 1756. The building was used for balls and concerts. It burned down during the May Uprising in Dresden in 1849. The next opera house, the Semperoper, was built at a different location.

The Dreikönigskirche (Three Kings' Church) is a Lutheran church located in the Innere Neustadt of Dresden, Germany. It is the centre of a parish, and a community venue called Haus der Kirche. The church is a listed cultural monument of Dresden. A church has been documented as standing at the site of the Dreikönigskirche since the 15th century. The present church was built from 1732 to 1739 with designs by Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann and with George Bähr responsible for the interior features. The church was destroyed during the bombing of Dresden in World War II and not restored until the 1980s. It served as the seat of the state parliament of Saxony from 1990 to 1993.

The Societaetstheater is the oldest popular theatre in Dresden, Germany. Founded in 1776 as an amateur theatre by a society of friends from both the nobility and the middle class, it was initially respected and influential but declined in the early 19th century after the fashion shifted to elaborate historical and verse dramas and the national theatre movement grew in importance, and was eventually dissolved in 1832. The Baroque building on Hauptstraße in the Innere Neustadt was abandoned for many years in the second half of the 20th century, but beginning in 1979, a movement grew to restore it. The theatre reopened in 1999 and is now operated by the city.

The Innere Neustadt (Inner New City) is a neighborhood in Dresden within the administrative district of Neustadt. The name is derived from "Neue Königliche Stadt" (New Royal City), the name given to the former district of Altendresden when it was rebuilt after a fire before 1732. In contrast to the Äußere Neustadt (Outer New City), the Innere Neustadt was within the city fortifications and, for that reason, is also known as the historic Neustadt. Its population is 7,761 (2020).

The Erich Kästner Museum is a literary museum in Dresden, Germany. The museum covers the life and writings of German children's author Erich Kästner and is based in the Villa Augustin building which had belonged to Kästner's uncle. The museum is notable for its architecture, which was designed to be semi-mobile and fit within a single room,: 28  close to where Kästner had grown up in Dresden's inner new town (Innere Neustadt). The museum focuses on Kästner's early years in Dresden and Leipzig, the connections between his work and children, and his relationship to the media. The museum collection includes first editions by Kästner, including his most famous work Emil and the Detectives, along with garments and objects belonging to Kästner.

The St Francis Xavier Church (katholische Kirche St. Franziskus Xaverius or Katholische Pfarrkirche zu Dresden-Neustadt) was a Roman Catholic church dedicated to St Francis Xavier in the Innere Neustadt district of Dresden. It was built from 1852 to 1853, severely damaged by bombing in 1945 in the Second World War, and demolished in 1957.
