The Pack Theater is a theatre based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in improv and sketch comedy. In addition, the theatre operates a school for developing improv and comedy talent. The Pack Theater grew out of the Miles Stroth Workshop, "focused on advanced training for improv comedians." Miles Stroth, a former student of Del Close, founded the workshop in 2007 after leaving his teaching job at iO West. He spun the workshop into a theatre working from a 50-seat black box in 2016.For each of its first four years, 2016–19, the Pack has hosted its own comedy festival, Pack Con. Pack Con performers have included Bob Odenkirk, Adam McKay, and The Whitest Kids U Know.

The Elephant Theatre Company was a non-profit theatre company based in Hollywood. The company "built a reputation for championing new American plays" and ceased operation in September 2015.

Tekeyan Cultural Association Arshag Dickranian Armenian School (Armenian: Արշակ Տիգրանյան վարժարան) was a private K-12 Armenian school in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The board of directors announced in 2015 that the school was closing.

Desilu Productions () was an American television production company founded and co-owned by husband and wife Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. The company is best known for shows such as I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, The Untouchables, Mission: Impossible and Star Trek. Until 1962, Desilu was the second-largest independent television production company in the United States, behind MCA's Revue Studios, until MCA bought Universal Pictures and Desilu became and remained the number-one independent production company, until being sold in 1968.Ball and Arnaz jointly owned the majority stake in Desilu from its inception until 1962, when Ball bought out Arnaz and ran the company by herself for several years. Ball had succeeded in making Desilu profitable again by 1968, when she sold her shares of Desilu to Gulf+Western for $17 million (a valued $138 million in 2021). Gulf+Western then transformed Desilu into the television production arm of Paramount Pictures, rebranding the company as the original Paramount Television. Desilu's entire library is owned by Paramount Global through two of its subsidiaries. The CBS unit owns all Desilu properties that were produced and concluded before 1960, which were sold to CBS by Desilu itself. Its CBS Studios unit owns the rights to everything Desilu produced after 1960 as successor in interest to Paramount Television.

Sunset Las Palmas Studios, located at 1040 N. Las Palmas Avenue in Hollywood, California, is an independent production lot providing stages and related services to television, film and commercial production companies. Founded in 1919, the lot is one of the oldest production facilities in Hollywood and has played host to many notable productions, including such television shows as The Burns and Allen Show, I Love Lucy, The Addams Family, seasons 2–10 of Jeopardy! (1985–1994), The Rockford Files, The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show, MADtv, Real TV , season 1 of Everybody Loves Raymond, The Suite Life on Deck, RuPaul's Drag Race and Raven's Home, as well as such film productions as When Harry Met Sally... and The Player. It was known by many names over the years, including General Service Studios, American Zoetrope and Hollywood Center Studios. Sunset Las Palmas Studios continues to provide stage facilities for many television productions, including shows produced by Disney, NBC, Comedy Central and MTV. The lot features 12 sound stages, ranging in size from 4,400 square feet to 19,000 square feet, several of which are able to accommodate live audiences, as well as a virtual set stage for webcasts.

California Laundry was an early 1920s business in Hollywood, California, and in its day, possibly the city's largest business institution outside of the film studios. It was located on Vine Street. At the time it was established, the California Laundry was one of the few laundry businesses in the country in which each machine was driven by an individual motor, eliminating the possibility of a breakdown which would cripple the entire plant. The machinery used in the California Laundry was the largest single shipment of laundry apparatus ever sent to the Pacific coast.

Gold Star Studios was an independent recording studio located in Hollywood, California. In its entire history, Gold Star was one of the most successful commercial recording studios in the world. Founded by David S. Gold and Stan Ross and opened in October 1950, Gold Star Recording Studios was located at 6252 Santa Monica Boulevard near the corner of Vine Street in Hollywood, the studio name was a combination of the names of the two owners—(Dave) GOLD and STA(n) R(oss). The studio was renowned for its unique custom-designed recording equipment, which was designed and built by Gold, and for its echo chambers (also designed and built by Gold), which were utilised heavily by producers, most notably, Phil Spector. Many big bands and orchestras recorded at Gold Star. Band leader Phil Carreon and Vocalist Ray Vasquez recorded at the facility in the 1950s.

Track Record Studios is a recording studio, originally established around 1970 and located in North Hollywood, California. Many gold or platinum records were recorded or mixed at Track Record: The Offspring's Ignition and the follow-up Smash (which has gone platinum six times), Emmylou Harris' Roses in the Snow, Megadeth's Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Mother's Milk, Jane's Addiction's Ritual de lo Habitual, Social Distortion's self-titled third album, Blink-182's Dude Ranch, Wu-Tang Clan's The W, Aerosmith's Nine Lives, Evanescence's Fallen, Aaliyah's One in a Million, Goo Goo Dolls' Dizzy Up the Girl, Maroon 5's Songs About Jane, Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, Kiss' Revenge and Quincy Jones' Q's Jook Joint.Snoop Dogg recorded his first two albums, Doggystyle and Tha Doggfather, at Track Record as did Tupac Shakur for the sessions of two of his posthumous releases R U Still Down? (Remember Me) and Still I Rise, the collaboration with Outlawz. Other clients that have recorded or mixed at the studio include Slayer, Corrosion of Conformity, Trouble, Bad Religion, Agent Orange, Face to Face, Fates Warning, The Bouncing Souls, Ignite, SNFU, Sacred Reich, School of Fish, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Run–D.M.C., System of a Down, Iggy Pop, Mötley Crüe, Limp Bizkit, Chicago, Scorpions, Foreigner, 7 Seconds, Mary J. Blige, Jessica Simpson, Avenged Sevenfold, John Fogerty, Courtney Love, Kid Rock, Pat Benatar, White Zombie, Brandy, Tito Puente, Coolio, Black Label Society, Dwight Yoakam, Pink and Dishwalla. Studio was purchased by Paramount Recording Studios in 2010.

The Steve Allen Playhouse was a vaudeville and film theater in Hollywood, California. Located at 1228 North Vine Street, on the corner of La Mirada, it was originally named the La Mirada Theatre, and later the Filmarte Theatre.

Red Studios Hollywood, formerly Desilu Cahuenga Studio and Ren-Mar Studios, is a rental studio located at 846 N. Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, California, on premises that were formerly the home of Desilu Productions. Originally it was the site of Metro Pictures Back Lot #3 in 1920. In 1947 it was rebuilt as a 9-stage studio called Equity Pictures and became Motion Picture Center Studios a year later. It has been used for a wide variety of film and television production, and the studio has been known by many different names. In 1953, after filming the first two seasons of the I Love Lucy TV series at General Service Studios, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were looking for a larger studio. They looked at the lot (known at the time as Motion Picture Center) and signed a ten-year lease on the property. In 1955 Desilu bought the studio, and in 1959, after Desilu bought other studios in Hollywood and Culver City, the name was changed to Desilu-Cahuenga Studios to avoid confusion with the other Desilu Studios. Beginning in 1974, the studio had been independently owned and operated for use by producers, taking the Ren-Mar name in 1984. I Love Lucy (seasons 3–6, 1953–1957), The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour (1957–1960), The Lucy Show (1962-1968), The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966), My World and Welcome to It, Make Room for Daddy, Hogan's Heroes, The Andy Griffith Show, The Jack Benny Program, That Girl, Seinfeld, The Golden Girls, The Golden Palace, Empty Nest, NewsRadio, Ally McBeal, Beauty and the Beast, It’s a Living, MADtv, and Lizzie McGuire are among the television series that have been filmed entirely or partially at Ren-Mar. In addition, music videos are often filmed at the studio, including those of Madonna, INXS, Michael Jackson, Ozzy Osbourne, Hilary Duff and Britney Spears. The front (Cahuenga Boulevard) gate of Ren-Mar was used to represent the "Maroon Cartoon Studio" for the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). In 1991, the Richard Simmons exercise tape, "Sweatin' to the Oldies 3" was taped at Ren-Mar. The latest shows produced at Ren-Mar were FNMTV, Monk, and Weeds. In January 2010, Ren-Mar Studios was bought by Red Digital Cinema Camera Company. The complex was renamed "Red Studios Hollywood".

The Los Angeles Fire Department Museum and Memorial is located at Old Engine Co. No. 27, also known as Fire Station No. 27, on Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood. The museum houses old fire engines and fire apparatus, some dating from the 1880s. The museum also houses a reference library and fire safety learning center. The building was named a Los Angeles Cultural-Heritage Monument in 1976 and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The Fallen Firefighters Memorial in front of the station consists of a memorial wall listing all of the Los Angeles firefighters who have died in the line of duty and five life-size statues of firefighters.

The Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study is one of three Los Angeles-area facilities of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, located at 1313 Vine Street in central Hollywood. The Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study was named in honor of legendary silent film actress Mary Pickford in 2002. Pickford was one of the founding members of the Academy. In addition to the 286-seat Linwood Dunn Theater where numerous public events are presented throughout the year, the building houses several Academy departments, including the Academy Film Archive, the Science and Technology Council, and the Grants and Nicholl Fellowship programs. The building, originally dedicated on August 18, 1948, as studios for the Mutual-Don Lee Broadcasting System, is the oldest surviving structure in Hollywood that was designed specifically with television in mind.
