Wicklow Head

St Patrick's GAA Club Wicklow Town is a Gaelic Athletic Association club with teams competing in Hurling, Gaelic Football, and Ladies Football in Wicklow League and Championship competitions. They are the current Wicklow senior football champions. St Patrick's GAA club is the only GAA club in Wicklow Town and has three men's football teams, Senior, Junior A and Junior C. They have nine juvenile football teams. They also have a senior hurling team and 3 juvenile hurling teams. The ladies section comprises a senior team, an intermediate team and 5 Juvenile football teams including 2012 County Champions at Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12. It is one of the largest and most successful clubs in County Wicklow and won the Wicklow Senior Football Championship in 2004, 2006, 2012, 2018 and 2019.

Blainroe Golf Club is a golf course situated about 3.5 km south of Wicklow Town in County Wicklow, Ireland. The course was originally built as part of a village resort in Blainroe by Dublin builder Christy Cooney.As of 2020, Blainroe is ranked 95 in the Irish Golf Digest's Top 100 Courses in Ireland.

Wicklow ( WIK-loh; Irish: Cill Mhantáin [ˌciːl̠ʲ ˈwan̪ˠt̪ˠaːnʲ], meaning 'church of the toothless one'; Old Norse: Víkingaló) is the county town of County Wicklow in Ireland. It is located south of Dublin on the east coast of the island. According to the 2016 census, it has a population of 10,584. The town is to the east of the M11 route between Dublin and Wexford. It also has railway links to Dublin, Wexford, Arklow, and Rosslare Europort. There is also a commercial port for timber and textile imports. The River Vartry is the main river flowing through the town.

Wicklow Lifeboat Station is located at East Pier in the county town of Wicklow, County Wicklow, a harbour town at the mouth of the River Vartry, on the east coast of Ireland. A lifeboat was first placed here by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1857. The station currently operates the Shannon-class All-weather lifeboat, 13-27 Joanna and Henry Williams (ON 1334), on station since 2020, and a D-class (IB1) Inshore lifeboat Dennis-Audrey (D-806), on station since 2017.

Wicklow Town Hall (Irish: Halla an Bhaile Cill Mhantáin), is a municipal building in the Market Square, Wicklow, County Wicklow, Ireland. The building currently accommodates the local offices of Wicklow County Council and the offices of Wicklow County Tourism.

The Wicklow Reef (Irish: Sceir Cill Mhantáin) is a shallow subtidal reef in the Irish Sea, located off the coast of County Wicklow, Ireland, approximately 2.88 kilometres (1.79 mi) northeast of Wicklow Head. The reefs are constructed by the honeycomb worm (Sabellaria alveolata) and are located at a depth of 12-30 metres (39-98 ft).Prior to the discovery of the Wicklow Reef in 1997, Sabellaria alveolata reefs were only known to occur in inter-tidal zones along the coasts of Britain and Ireland. Sub-tidal reefs are exceptionally rare in the region, being typically found in the Mediterranean. The Wicklow Reef is the first and only known example of a sub-tidal Sabellaria alveolata reef off the coast of Britain and Ireland.The reef is home to a number of species of crab, starfish, sea-squirts, brittlestars, as well as molluscs and bryozoans. Several species of worm such as Phaeostachys spinifera, Eulalia ornata and Unciola crenatipalma are very uncommon in Irish waters, and the Wicklow Reef is therefore considered a priority habitat. The reef is an EU-designated Special Area of Conservation.

The Murrough Wetlands (Irish: Na Bogaigh Murrach) are a 15-kilometre (9.32 mi) long complex of coastal wetlands in County Wicklow, Ireland. The main wetland is centred around Broad Lough immediately north of Wicklow town. Broad Lough is a large estuarine lake that is cut off from the Irish sea by a long, thin shingle ridge. Smaller, disconnected wetland areas such as the East Coast Nature Reserve and the Kicoole Marshes are also included in the complex. The Murrough Wetlands are the most extensive wetland area on the east coast of Ireland, and are an EU-designated Special Area of Conservation and Special Protection Area.
