Leinstrand Church (Norwegian: Leinstrand kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Leinstrand area in the city of Trondheim. It is one of the churches for the Byneset og Leinstrand parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The red, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1673 by the architect Ole Jonsen Hindrum. The church seats about 200 people.

Klett is a village in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located in the Leinstrand area of the borough of Heimdal. The village areas of Heimdal and Tiller lie to the northeast, the Byneset area lies to the west, and the village of Melhus lies to the south. Most of the area surrounding the village is farmland. To the south of Klett is the junction called Klett Crossing (Klettkrysset) where the European route E06 and European route E39 highways intersect. The roundabout was built in 1988. It is the site of the most traffic accidents in all of the old Sør-Trøndelag county. It was also long famous for being the only roundabout in Norway with yellow road-signs. This was a test by the Norwegian road administration, inspired by Sweden. A renovation of the intersection is scheduled with a startup during summer 2019 and an estimated completion during winter 2020.

Leinstrand is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 46-square-kilometre (18 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality of Leinstrand encompassed the south-central part of what is now the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre was located in the village of Heimdal, just west of the border with Tiller municipality. The local Leinstrand Church was built in 1673.

The area is located in the borough of Heimdal, south of Lundåsen, north of the village of Klett, and southwest of the village of Heimdal. The residential areas were built during the 1970s. It is the site of the Kattem IL sports team.

Granåsen Ski Centre (in Norwegian: Granåsen skisenter) is a winter sport venue located in Trondheim, Norway. Granåsen Ski Centre frequently hosts competitions arranged by FIS; Ski jumping World Cup and Continental Cup, Nordic combined World Cup and has hosted events in the Cross-Country World Cup on five occasions and Biathlon World Cup on one occasion. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1997 took place at Granåsen.

Granåsen is a ski jumping hill, located in Granåsen Ski Centre in Trondheim, Norway. The hill frequently hosts World Cup and Continental Cup competitions arranged by FIS and also hosted the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1997. The hill sports one normal sized hill (K-90) and one large hill (K-124).Before the 2008/2009 season the hill was improved, and the K-spot is now located at 124 meters while the hill size has been increased to 140 meters. The hill record belongs to Kamil Stoch, who jumped 146 m in March 2018 during the World Cup competition.

Heimdal Church (Norwegian: Heimdal kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Heimdal, about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) south of Kolstad Church. It is the church for the Heimdal parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The modern, white, concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1960 using plans drawn up by the architect Herman Semmelmann. The church seats about 180 people.

It is located in the Kolstad area of the city of Trondheim, about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from the nearby Heimdal Church. It is the church for the Kolstad parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The modern, concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1986 using plans drawn up by the architect Nils Henrik Eggen. The church seats about 460 people.

Heimdal is a borough in the city of Trondheim in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It covers the western and southwestern parts of the municipality. The village area that is also called Heimdal is located in the southeastern part of the borough, near Heimdal Church. This area around the Heimdal Rail Station was until 1964 the center of two separate local municipalities: Tiller and Leinstrand. The western part of Heimdal borough consists of the rural areas of Byneset, also a separate municipality until 1964. Tillerbyen, the eastern part of Heimdal, is a recent development, planned to ease the pressure on central Trondheim from the commercial boom in the city.

Heimdal Station (Norwegian: Heimdal stasjon) is a railway station located in Heimdal in Trondheim, Norway. Located 12 km south of Trondheim Central Station on the Dovre Line, it is served by express trains between Trondheim and Oslo Central Station as well as the regional train services Trøndelag Commuter Rail and Nabotåget, all operated by SJ Norge. The station is staffed.

Melhus (or Nedre Melhus) is the administrative centre of Melhus municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located in the lower Gauldalen valley, along the river Gaula, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of the city of Trondheim. The 2.88-square-kilometre (710-acre) village has a population (2018) of 6,393 and a population density of 2,220 inhabitants per square kilometre (5,700/sq mi).The village lies along the European route E06 highway as well as the Dovrebanen railway line. The railroad stops at the Melhus Station in the central part of the village. The historic Melhus Church is located about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) south of Melhus in the village of Storsand. Melhus is the largest urban area in the municipality, so it has a mall, many stores and businesses, restaurants, banks, a medical centre, a school, and the municipal government offices.

Ringvål is a village in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located in the borough of Heimdal, at the mouth of the Gaula River between the urban areas of Heimdal and Spongdal.The 0.19-square-kilometre (47-acre) village has a population (2018) of 457 and a population density of 2,405 inhabitants per square kilometre (6,230/sq mi).
