Chungjeongno Station is a subway station on Seoul Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 5. It is located in Seodaemun-gu, which is a district in Seoul, South Korea. Chungjeong was the pen name of minister Min Yeong-hwan, who committed suicide protesting the signing of the Japan–Korea Treaty of 1905.

Yakhyeon Catholic Church (약현성당) is historic church of the Jungnim-dong, Jung District, Seoul. The parish is a part of the Archdiocese of Seoul. The official name is church of St. Joseph.

The Yongsan bombing by the United States Air Force took place during the North Korean offensive of the Korean War and included a destructive bombing raid in Seoul. About 50 B-29s with the U.S. Fifth Air Force bombed Yongsan, Seoul on 16 July 1950. The B-29s dropped bombs on the switch yard and arsenal behind the Yongsan Station to slow down the North Korean army advance; however, some of the bombs missed the targets and hit civilian facilities. Some 1,587 citizens were killed representing 58.6% of the total civilian casualties. The South Korean Truth and Reconciliation Commission declined to investigate the incident, calling the bombing operation a military necessity.

Sohn Kee-chung Park (Korean: 손기정공원; Hanja: 孫基禎公園) is a public park in Malli-dong, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It is named for Sohn Kee-chung, the first Korean to win an Olympic gold medal. It was established in 1987 and remodeled in 2020.The park is popular for sports, and contains a number of facilities for not only running, but also soccer, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. A statue of Sohn is located near a running track in the park.The park also contains a Sohn Kee-chung Children's Library and Sohn Kee-chung Cultural Library (손기정문화도서관), as well as the Sohn Kee Chung Memorial Hall. A cafe is located in the memorial hall. General use of the facilities is encouraged, with comfortable seats, desks, and tables available in significant quantities. A tree given to Sohn in the name of Adolf Hitler, who hosted the Olympics Sohn won his gold medal at, is now located in the park.

The newspaper was first published on October 17, 2000, originally named as JoongAng Ilbo English Edition. It mainly carries news and feature stories by staff reporters, and some stories translated from the Korean language newspaper. Korea JoongAng Daily is one of the three main English newspapers in South Korea along with The Korea Times and The Korea Herald. The newspaper is published with a daily edition of The New York Times and it is located within the main offices of the JoongAng Ilbo in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Jungnim-dong (Korean: 중림동) is a dong (neighbourhood) of Jung District, Seoul, South Korea.

Souimun (Hangul 소의문, Hanja 昭義門; also known as Southwest Gate) was one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate was also known as Seosomun (서소문, “West Small Gate”). The gate no longer exists, and there is a marker placed roughly where the gate once stood.
