Oglethorpe Mall is a super-regional shopping mall on the south side of Savannah, Georgia. Named after General James Oglethorpe, the founder of Savannah, the mall has expanded since its opening in 1969 to nearly one million square feet. Among its features are several restaurants, a food court, and 118 stores. It is anchored by Belk, JCPenney, and Macy's. The center also features junior anchors Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, H&M, DSW, and Crunch Fitness. It is owned and operated by Brookfield Properties.

White Bluff was a collection of communities—Nicholsonboro, Rose Dhu, Twin Hill, and Cedar Grove—located in Chatham County, Georgia, United States, and now part of Savannah. In 1940, as part of research published in Drums and Shadows: Survival Studies Among the Georgia Coastal Negroes, the total population was estimated at 400. The communities were centered on White Bluff Road, eight miles southeast of Savannah. Drum and Shadows describes White Bluff as a "quiet Negro community" where "moss-hung oaks form a canopy and cast filigreed shadows" upon the community's main road. Many of its older (as of 1940) inhabitants were former slaves on a large plantation on St. Catherines Island owned by Jacob Waldburg. They moved to White Bluff in 1868 after Waldburg reclaimed the island, which after the Civil War had been briefly reserved for freed slaves by General Sherman's Special Field Orders, No. 15.According to the 1869 book Historical Record of the City of Savannah, the community at that time had two hotels and several summer homes. Additionally, the book states that in 1740, there had been a Dutch settlement at the location.

South University is a private university with its main campus and online operations in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Founded in 1899, South University consists of its School of Pharmacy, College of Nursing and Public Health, College of Health Professions, College of Business, College of Theology, and College of Arts and Sciences. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Hunter Army Airfield (IATA: SVN, ICAO: KSVN, FAA LID: SVN), located in Savannah, Georgia, United States, is a military airfield and subordinate installation to Fort Stewart located in Hinesville, Georgia. Hunter features a runway that is 11,375 feet (3,468 m) long and an aircraft parking area that is more than 350 acres (1.4 km2). The runway and apron, combined with the 72,000 sq ft (6,689 m2) Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) Facility and nearby railhead, allow the 3rd Infantry Division from nearby Fort Stewart to efficiently deploy soldiers and cargo worldwide. NASA identified Hunter as an alternate landing site for the Space Shuttle orbiters.

Abercorn Walk is an upscale shopping center on Abercorn Street in Savannah, Georgia. It is located near the city's more upscale midtown commercial sector. Abercorn Walk resembles a village in which each storefront retains a different style. Originally announced in 2003, Abercorn Walk was built atop a stretch of buildings that had been a church, a funeral home, a car lot and a house. The anchor store, which had been announced the previous year, was The Fresh Market. By the fall of 2004, several other tenants had joined the roster and signed letters of intent. As of 2023, major tenants besides The Fresh Market include Chico's, Francesca's Collections, J.Jill, JoS. A. Bank, LOFT, Talbots, White House Black Market, and Ethan Allen. Abercorn Walk sits across the street from another upscale shopping center, Twelve Oaks du Marché, which opened in 1984 and has a horseshoe shape. This center, anchored by Publix, includes Cold Stone Creamery, Starbucks, and Bonefish Grill among many others. Many locally owned boutiques like Globe Shoe Company have suburban branches at Twelve Oaks. It is built of imitation "Savannah gray" brick and has a copper patina roof.

The Benedictine Priory of Savannah is a Catholic monastery of Benedictine monks located in Savannah, Georgia. The priory was founded in 1877, and is a dependency of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and thereby belongs to the American-Cassinese Congregation. It currently operates the Benedictine Military School for boys.

Benedictine Military School (also referred to as Benedictine or BC) is a Catholic military high school for boys located in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It was founded in 1902 by the Benedictine monks of Savannah Priory, which still operates the school under the auspices of the Diocese of Savannah.

Vernonburg is a town in Chatham County, Georgia, United States, about 10 miles south of downtown Savannah. It is located at a sharp curve along the Vernon River, a tidal creek. The population was 139 at the 2020 census. Vernonburg is part of the Savannah metropolitan statistical area.

Candler Hospital is a historic 384-bed hospital currently located at 5353 Reynolds Street in Savannah, Georgia. It was originally founded in 1804 as a Seamen's Hospital and poor house and eventually became known as Savannah Hospital. It is the second oldest hospital in America in continuous operation. In 1931 the hospital was endowed by Coca-Cola founder, Asa Griggs Candler and renamed after his brother Warren Akin Candler, who led the hospital to become affiliated with the Methodist Church. Candler Hospital later merged St. Joseph's Hospital, another hospital also located in Savannah. The Candler campus is now home to the 62,000 sq ft Nancy N. and J.C Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion, the region's National Cancer Institute selected cancer center, a national destination for cancer care. Candler Hospital also houses a Level II NICU, and the Mary Telfair Women's Hospital which offers specialized care for women.It is included in Savannah Historic District.

The Savannah Country Day School (SCDS, Country Day) is an independent college preparatory school founded in 1955 in Savannah, Georgia, United States. The co-educational school serves students from pre-kindergarten through to twelfth grade, and has 1,028 students enrolled.
