Tuusula

Hyrylä (Swedish: Skavaböle, also Hyrylä) is one of the three villages and the administrative centre of Tuusula, with a population of about 19,500 residents.It is located at the southern side of Lake Tuusula, approximately 10 minutes driving distance from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and 25 kilometres away from Helsinki. Tuusulanväylä is the most direct main road connection from Hyrylä to the capital. Other important road connections are the regional road 139 leading to the Nurmijärvi's village center of the municipality by the same name, the regional road 145 leading to the town center of Järvenpää and the regional road 148 leading to the town center of Kerava.

Lake Tuusula or Lake Tuusulanjärvi (Finnish: Tuusulanjärvi; Swedish: Tusby träsk) is a lake on the border of the municipalities of Tuusula and Järvenpää in Southern Finland. The lake has an area of 6.0 square kilometres. Since the beginning of the twentieth century the shores of Lake Tuusula has been an artist's colony. The houses of Jean Sibelius, Juhani Aho, Pekka Halonen, Eero Järnefelt, Joonas Kokkonen and Aleksis Kivi are on the edges of the lake. The Lake Tuusulanjärvi Water Protection Association has taken action to save the lake from eutrophication effects since the early 1970s. Apart from wintertime water aeration and cyprinid fish removal, some additional water is being fed into the Lake via the Päijänne Water Tunnel.

Korson koulu is a former primary school and high school, now just a primary school in Korso, Vantaa, Finland. The school has two buildings on Kisatie 29. It is attended by circa 520 students and has grades from sixth to ninth. Korson koulu was founded in 1957. Its elder building was completed in 1959. Korson koulu was initially a comprehensive school but was split into a primary school (Korson koulu) and an upper secondary school (Korson lukio) in 1977. Since 1999 Timo Rönnqvist has been the principal of Korson koulu. In 2003 Korson lukio moved to a new building and was renamed Lumon lukio - the buildings on Kisatie have since been operated by Korson koulu alone. In 2015 City of Vantaa announced a plan to abolish Korson koulu by 2021 due to its problems with air quality and long school travels for students.

Ankkarock was a Finnish rock and metal festival held annually in Korso, Vantaa, in the Greater Helsinki area. It literally translates into Duckrock. The first Ankkarock was held in 1987. The festival was free of charge until 1998. In 2006, the two-day event attracted approximately 40,000 visitors. The 2007 festival took place on 4–5 August. The final event was in 2010.

Villa Kokkonen is a residential building located in Järvenpää, Finland, notable for having been designed by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto for the composer Joonas Kokkonen.

Korso railway station (Finnish: Korson rautatieasema; Swedish: Korso järnvägsstation) is a Helsinki commuter rail station located in the district of Korso in the city of Vantaa, Finland. It is located approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Helsinki Central railway station. The station is located in the C zone of the HSL area.

Korso is a district and major region in Helsinki metropolitan area, in northeastern Vantaa, Finland. The district has 7,402 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2014).Since 2007, the Korso major region has included the following nine districts: Matari, Korso, Mikkola, Metsola, Leppäkorpi, Jokivarsi, Nikinmäki, Vierumäki and Vallinoja. The Korso major region has a total 29,765 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2014).

Kerava (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈkerɑʋɑ]; Swedish: Kervo) is a town and municipality within the Uusimaa region of Finland. The municipalities of Vantaa, Sipoo and Tuusula are adjacent to Kerava, which is part of the Helsinki metropolitan area.The town has a population of 38,227 (31 December 2023) and covers an area of 30.79 square kilometres (11.89 sq mi) of which 0.17 km2 (0.066 sq mi) is water. The population density is 1,248.02 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,232.4/sq mi). Kerava is the 30th largest municipality in terms of population, but the 5th smallest municipality in terms of area in Finland (and the second smallest in the Uusimaa region after Kauniainen). However, it is also the third most densely populated area in the sub-region after Helsinki and Kauniainen. The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The Sinebrychoff brewery operations are based in Kerava. There is also a well-known prison in the town (Keravan vankila), which includes 94 places in the open prison ward.

Savio railway station (Finnish: Savion rautatieasema, Swedish: Savio järnvägsstation) is located in the district of Savio in the city of Kerava, Finland. It is located between the stations of Korso and Kerava, and serves the K line between Helsinki and Kerava, as well as the T line from Helsinki to Riihimäki (at night only).

Kerava railway station (Finnish: Keravan rautatieasema, Swedish: Kervo järnvägsstation) is located in the town of Kerava, Finland. It is located approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) from Helsinki Central railway station. Six tracks run through the station, three of which have platforms for passenger traffic. Kerava is a significant junction station, with connections from the main track from Helsinki to Riihimäki to the tracks to Lahti, Sköldvik, Porvoo, and to the Vuosaari Harbour. The station house is uncommonly large and was built in 1876-1878 and extended in 1904. When the house was built the station had already been operational for over ten years.

The Peijas Hospital is a hospital belonging to the Helsinki and Uusimaa hospital district (HUS), located in Asola, Vantaa. Since 2001 the hospital has been part of the functionality division of the Helsinki region university central hospital.The first construction phase, designed by architect Pekka Terävä, was completed in 1990, and the second phase was completed in 1993. The third phase, designed under the leadership of architect Pekka Koivula, was completed from 2005 to 2007. It expanded the total area by a third, about 16 500 m². The expansion also added a chapel to the hospital.The hospital has bed places for 267 patients, also places for 50 psychiatric patients and 16 places at the Kerava Klondyke. There are 1 450 employees, of which 1 100 work at the Peijas Hospital building.The Peijas Hospital has good public transport connections with stops for several Vantaa internal bus lines and bus lines from Helsinki, Kerava and Tuusula. The hospital is also a walking distance away from the Rekola and Koivukylä railway stations.

Ilola (Swedish: Gladas) is a city district of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. It is located in the northern part of the administrative district of Koivukylä. It is bordered to the west by the district of Lentokenttä, to the south by Ruskeasanta, to the east by Asola, and to the north by the municipality of Tuusula. Ilola has a population of 4,578 (as of 1.1.2014), and its housing is mostly owner-occupied separate and terraced houses, with an average size particularly high for Vantaa, at 90 square metres (970 sq ft). The district was primarily developed in the 1980s and 1990s, when it was one of Vantaa's fastest growing districts.
