Lake Tuusula or Lake Tuusulanjärvi (Finnish: Tuusulanjärvi; Swedish: Tusby träsk) is a lake on the border of the municipalities of Tuusula and Järvenpää in Southern Finland. The lake has an area of 6.0 square kilometres. Since the beginning of the twentieth century the shores of Lake Tuusula has been an artist's colony. The houses of Jean Sibelius, Juhani Aho, Pekka Halonen, Eero Järnefelt, Joonas Kokkonen and Aleksis Kivi are on the edges of the lake. The Lake Tuusulanjärvi Water Protection Association has taken action to save the lake from eutrophication effects since the early 1970s. Apart from wintertime water aeration and cyprinid fish removal, some additional water is being fed into the Lake via the Päijänne Water Tunnel.

Ainola (literal English translation: "Aino's Place") is a museum in Järvenpää, Finland, which was the home of a Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, his wife Aino (née Järnefelt), and their six daughters. Situated near Lake Tuusula, 38 kilometres (24 miles) north of Helsinki, the two-story wooden home was designed by a Finnish architect Lars Sonck. The foundation was laid in the autumn of 1903, and the Sibelius family began occupying the residence in September 1904. The second floor of Ainola was later finished in 1911. The museum is maintained by Ainola Foundation, which was founded in 1972 by the Ministry of Education and Sibelius Society.

Saunakallio railway station (Finnish: Saunakallion rautatieasema, Swedish: Saunakallio järnvägsstation) is a Helsinki commuter rail station in the town of Järvenpää, Finland, 39 km (24.5 mi) north from the Helsinki Central railway station. The station was the terminus for the G commuter line that ran from Helsinki to Saunakallio. The service was started on 4 June 2007. It was discontinued in 2011 in order to improve management of traffic and timetable keeping on the Main Line especially during winter conditions.

Järvenpää railway station (Finnish: Järvenpään rautatieasema, Swedish: Träskända järnvägsstation) is a railway station in Järvenpää about 37 kilometres (23 mi) north from Helsinki Central station. It is situated 200 metres (660 ft) northeast of the city centre on a small hill. It was one of the first railway stations in Finland, which was established along the country's first railway line in 1862. Local lines D, R, and T stop at the station. In 1999 the station building was moved approximately 25 m (82 ft) further away from the tracks. The station has three platforms. Track 1 is for southbound trains, track 2 is for northbound non-stop-trains and the northbound local trains stops at platform 3. Tracks 2 and 3 form an island platform. Next to the station is the Järvenpää taxi rank. Many local bus lines stop at the station. The bus station is 300 m (980 ft) north of the station.

Järvenpää (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈjærʋemˌpæː]; Swedish: Träskända) is a town and municipality in Finland. It is located on the Helsinki–Riihimäki railway track in Uusimaa region, some 37 kilometres (23 mi) north of Helsinki. Neighbouring municipalities are Tuusula, Sipoo and Mäntsälä. People also refer to Kerava as Järvenpää's neighbour, even though they do not technically share a border, thanks to the one kilometre-wide land area that belongs to Tuusula.

Ainola railway station (Finnish: Ainolan rautatieasema, Swedish: Ainola järnvägsstation), formerly Kyrölä railway station, is a Helsinki commuter rail station in the town of Järvenpää, Finland. The station is served by Helsinki commuter rail R- and T-line trains. Trains to Helsinki depart from track one and trains to Riihimäki depart from track two. The station was renamed Ainola on 1 June 2015 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the composer Jean Sibelius. Ainola was his and his wife Aino's home. The walk from the station to Ainola takes around 20 minutes.

Järvenpää Mosque (Finnish: Järvenpään moskeija) is a mosque located in the Finnish town of Järvenpää. It is owned by The Finnish-Islamic Congregation, which members are Finnish Tatars. It was built in the 1940s. The Tatar community together raised the money for it.In the 1980s in the mosque, Tatars still arranged language and religious teaching for the children of the community. Later, most of the activity has been centered around a few religious occasions, such as Ramadan.Around the time the Järvenpää mosque was built, a separate Islamic congregation was founded in Tampere by local Tatars.They practice Sunni Islam.

Tuusula (Finnish: [ˈtuːsulɑ]; Swedish: Tusby [ˈtʉ̌ːsby]) is a municipality of Finland. It belongs to the Helsinki sub-region of the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of 40,427 (28 February 2023) and is by far the third largest municipality in Finland after Nurmijärvi and Kirkkonummi that does not use the town or city title by itself. A laurel branch in the coat of arms of Tuusula refers to the local artist community and a wheellock was borrowed from the coat of arms of the Stålhane noble family, which has long been influential in Tuusula. The coat of arms was designed by Olof Eriksson in 1953.

Hyrylä (Swedish: Skavaböle, also Hyrylä) is one of the three villages and the administrative centre of Tuusula, with a population of about 19,500 residents.It is located at the southern side of Lake Tuusula, approximately 10 minutes driving distance from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and 25 kilometres away from Helsinki. Tuusulanväylä is the most direct main road connection from Hyrylä to the capital. Other important road connections are the regional road 139 leading to the Nurmijärvi's village center of the municipality by the same name, the regional road 145 leading to the town center of Järvenpää and the regional road 148 leading to the town center of Kerava.

Kerava (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈkerɑʋɑ]; Swedish: Kervo) is a town and municipality within the Uusimaa region of Finland. The municipalities of Vantaa, Sipoo and Tuusula are adjacent to Kerava, which is part of the Helsinki metropolitan area.The town has a population of 38,227 (31 December 2023) and covers an area of 30.79 square kilometres (11.89 sq mi) of which 0.17 km2 (0.066 sq mi) is water. The population density is 1,248.02 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,232.4/sq mi). Kerava is the 30th largest municipality in terms of population, but the 5th smallest municipality in terms of area in Finland (and the second smallest in the Uusimaa region after Kauniainen). However, it is also the third most densely populated area in the sub-region after Helsinki and Kauniainen. The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The Sinebrychoff brewery operations are based in Kerava. There is also a well-known prison in the town (Keravan vankila), which includes 94 places in the open prison ward.

Kerava railway station (Finnish: Keravan rautatieasema, Swedish: Kervo järnvägsstation) is located in the town of Kerava, Finland. It is located approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) from Helsinki Central railway station. Six tracks run through the station, three of which have platforms for passenger traffic. Kerava is a significant junction station, with connections from the main track from Helsinki to Riihimäki to the tracks to Lahti, Sköldvik, Porvoo, and to the Vuosaari Harbour. The station house is uncommonly large and was built in 1876-1878 and extended in 1904. When the house was built the station had already been operational for over ten years.

Nuppulinna (Finnish: Nuppulinnan seisake, Swedish: Nuppulinna hållplats) is a closed railway station in Tuusula, Finland. It was located along the Helsinki–Riihimäki railway, and its neighboring stations at the time of closing were Purola in the south and Jokela in the north.
