Cooroibah is a locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 census, Cooroibah had a population of 2,178 people.

Noosa is a Legislative Assembly of Queensland electoral district in the Australian state of Queensland. The electorate is centred on Noosa and stretches northwest to the southern border of Gympie, south to Peregian Springs and west to Eumundi. The electorate was formed in 1992 following the redistribution of the Electoral district of Cooroora. The seat is currently held by Sandy Bolton, an independent.

Noosa Biosphere Reserve is an internationally protected area covering the region of Noosa in Queensland, Australia. It is formally recognised as a Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Man and the Biosphere (MAB) program for its highly diverse ecosystem over a relatively small space. It was the first Biosphere Reserve for the state of Queensland, established in September 2007. The reserve is bound by the Noosa Shire Council boundaries, extending offshore by 3 kilometres (1.9 mi), covering 150,000 hectares (370,000 acres) in total. It is governed by Noosa Biosphere Limited (NBL), a not-for-profit company, which mainly consists of members from the local community who fulfil roles in the governance board, sector boards, and partnerships. Community plays a significant role in the implementation of the Biosphere Reserve guidelines.

Ringtail Creek is a rural locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 census, Ringtail Creek had a population of 203 people.

The Tewantin National Park is a 13 square kilometre national park in Queensland, Australia. It consists of five individual areas west of Noosa Heads in the Wide Bay-Burnett region about 115 kilometres north of Brisbane and 125 km south of Hervey Bay. The park is divided into disconnected sections within Lake Macdonald, Tinbeerwah, Tewantin and Noosaville. The national park protects coastal rainforest, bright eucalyptus forest and the last remnants of Wallum Heath between Noosa and Cooroy. Mount Tinbeerwah (265 m) is composed of solidified lava, which was created by volcanic activity millions of years ago. In its surroundings you can find the endangered swamp stringybark (Eucalyptus conglomerata) with its many trunks, gray, fibrous bark and bunches of white flowers. Many amphibians live in the park, including the nearly endangered tusked frog (Adelotus brevis) and the endangered or threatened green-thighed frog, wallum froglet, and giant barred frog. About 70 different bird species have been observed in the park, including the almost endangered red-browed treecreeper.

The Noosa River is a river situated in South East Queensland. The catchment starts in the Como Escarpment near Mount Elliott in the coastal Great Sandy National Park and meanders south through a lakes district around Tewantin. Lakes situated on the river include Lake Cooloola, Lake Como, Lake Cootharaba, Lake Cooroibah and Lake Weyba. The catchment is mostly covered by sand dunes and has two major tributaries—Kin Kin Creek and Teewah Creek. The Noosa River enters the Coral Sea between Noosa Heads and Noosa North Shore. Substantial residential development has encroached into areas previously occupied by the changing river path. The river is noted for its populations of migratory birdlife.

Makepeace Island is a small heart shaped island in the Noosa River in the Shire of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The island is currently owned by Virgin Australia (formerly known as Virgin Blue) founding partners, Brett Godfrey and Sir Richard Branson. The island is Sir Richard Branson's Australian home and can hold up to 22 guests accommodated in three 2-bedroom villas and a 4 bedroom Bali House wing. The Shire of Noosa () is a local government area about 130 kilometres (81 mi) north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast district of South East Queensland, Australia. The shire covers an area of 870 square kilometres (335.9 sq mi). It existed as a local government entity from 1910 until 2008, when it was amalgamated with the Shire of Maroochy and City of Caloundra to form the Sunshine Coast Region. The shire was re-established on 1 January 2014. In the 2021 census, the shire had a population of 56,298 people.

Tewantin ( tə-WON-tən) is a town and locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. Tewantin was the original settlement in the Noosa region and is one of its three major centres today. In the 2021 census, the locality of Tewantin had a population of 11,164 people.

The Six Mile Creek Dam (more commonly known as Lake MacDonald) is a rock and earth-fill embankment dam with an un-gated spillway across the Six Mile Creek that is located in the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The main purposes of the dam are for potable water supply of the Sunshine Coast region and for recreation. The impounded reservoir is called Lake Macdonald, named in memory of former Noosa Shire Council Chairman Ian MacDonald.

Tinbeerwah is a semi-rural locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 census, Tinbeerwah had a population of 1,160 people.

The Big Pelican is one of Australia's big things and a popular tourist attraction. The Big Pelican is located on the foreshore of the Noosa River in Noosaville, Queensland on the Sunshine Coast. It is a popular spot for families to visit and take photos, as well as enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere.The Big Pelican is referenced in Season 3 Episode 96 of the Australian children’s show, Bluey.
