Pusat Bandar (English: City Centre) is the city centre of Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It is home to a number of national landmarks, important government offices, and commercial and financial establishments.

Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB; Jawi: بندر سري بڬاوان; Malay: [ˌbandar səˌri bəˈɡawan] ) is the capital and largest city of Brunei. It is officially a municipal area (kawasan bandaran) with an area of 100.36 square kilometres (38.75 sq mi) and an estimated population of 100,700 as of 2007. It is part of Brunei-Muara District, the smallest yet most populous district which is home to over 70 per cent of the country's population. It is the country's largest urban centre and nominally the country's only city. The capital is home to Brunei's seat of government, as well as a commercial and cultural centre. It was formerly known as Brunei Town until it was renamed in 1970 in honour of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei and the father of the current Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. The history of Bandar Seri Begawan can be traced back to the establishment of a Malay stilt settlement on the waters of the Brunei River which became the predecessor of Kampong Ayer today. It became the capital of the Bruneian Sultanate from the 16th century onwards, as well as in the 19th century when it became a British protectorate. The establishment of a British Residency in the 20th century saw the establishment of modern-day administration on land, as well as the gradual resettlement of the riverine dwellers to the land. During World War II, the capital was occupied by the Japanese forces from 1941 and bombed in 1945 upon liberation by Allied forces. Brunei's independence from the British was declared on 1 January 1984 on a square in the city centre. Bandar Seri Begawan is home to Istana Nurul Iman, the largest residential palace in the world by the Guinness World Records, and Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Brunei's iconic landmark. It is also home to Kampong Ayer, the largest 'water village' in the world and nicknamed Venice of the East. It was once the host city of the 20th Southeast Asian Games in 1999 and 8th APEC Summit in 2000.

The Secretariat Building (Malay: Bangunan Sekretariat) or formerly known as the Brunei Government Offices and Government Secretariat Building (Bangunan Setiausaha Kerajaan) is the oldest government structure that serves as "The Secretariat" or the seat of government. The building is located at Jalan Elizabeth II, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. The building is currently under the protection of the Antiquities and Treasure Trove Act of the Museums Department.

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) is the main Islamic financial institution and the largest bank in Brunei. With the biggest network of branches and ATMs strategically placed throughout Brunei's four districts, BIBD has its headquarters situated in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Library (Malay: Perpustakaan Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka) or simply Dewan Bahasa Pustaka Library, is a public library located in Pusat Bandar of Bandar Seri Begawan, was initiated in 1965 and completed in 1968. Designed in the Constructivist architecture, the building serves as a hub for educational and literary resources, with its primary function as a library and educational centre. Today, it offer a range of materials, services, and programs that are easily accessible and free of charge to all residents.

The Raja Ayang Mausoleum (Malay: Makam Raja Ayang) is a historical mausoleum in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It believed to honour a royal punished for incest in the 15th century, became a site of cultural significance where visitors seek blessings despite the resulting damage from offerings. Renovated in 2008 with a dome structure, it preserves Brunei's history while safeguarding the tomb from further deterioration.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA; Malay: Kementerian Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri, KHEDN) is a cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei which is responsible for the country's administrative divisions, municipal areas, immigration, labour, fire and rescue services, prison and rehabilitation institutions, and national disaster management. It was established immediately upon Brunei's independence on 1 January 1984. It is currently led by a minister and the incumbent is Ahmaddin Rahman, who took office since 7 June 2022. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Radio Television Brunei (Malay: Radio Televisyen Brunei, Jawi: راديو تيليۏيشين بروني, officially abbreviated as RTB) is the national public broadcaster of Brunei. Radio Brunei made its first broadcast on 2 May 1957, with a television service starting on 1 March 1975. RTB monopolises the free-to-air television in the country, and also radio until 1999, when the country's only commercial radio station, Kristal FM was founded. Currently, it operates 3 television channels and 5 radio stations. The network's logo was based from the national emblem of Brunei.

The Brunei Postal Services Department (Malay: Jabatan Perkhidmatan Pos) is a government department which is responsible for providing postal service in Brunei.

The Old Lapau (Malay: Lapau Lama), formerly known as the Lapau, is a historical building in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It was the former lapau or royal ceremonial hall prior to the existence of the current Lapau building. It was also where the Constitution of Brunei was promulgated in 1959. It now houses a museum pertaining to the Constitution.

The PGGMB Building was constructed in 2003, is the third tallest building in Brunei after The DST Group Building. The Building was listed as the sixth tallest Building in Borneo just about 295 feet high.

Kampong Sultan Lama (Malay: Kampung Sultan Lama) was a neighbourhood in Kampong Ayer, the riverine stilt settlement in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It was officially a village subdivision under Sungai Kedayan, a mukim (subdistrict) of Brunei–Muara District.
