Right After Torrance (RAT) Beach is the unofficial name of a short stretch of Los Angeles County unincorporated beach, officially known as Torrance County Beach, located along southern Santa Monica Bay, contiguous to the city of Torrance, California and neighboring Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County.

The Palos Verdes Public Library and Art Gallery is a historic building in Palos Verdes Estates, California. It was built in 1929–1930, and designed in the Mediterranean Revival style by architects Myron Hunt and Harold C. Chambers. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 7, 1995.

The International Bilingual School (ロサンゼルス国際学園, Rosanzerusu Kokusai Gakuen, "Los Angeles International Academy", IBS), later International School of Los Angeles (ISLA), was an international bilingual day school in Palos Verdes Estates, California, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, serving students in Kindergarten through grade 9. It was founded by Tadao Hara. The school later relocated to nearby Torrance.

Palos Verdes Golf Club is a private golf and social club on the West coast of the United States, located in Palos Verdes Estates, California, a suburb southwest of Los Angeles.

The JM Eagle LA Championship is a women's professional golf tournament in California on the LPGA Tour. The inaugural event in 2022 was played at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, concluding May 1. In 2023, it moves to Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles, with a new title name, dates played, and doubles the purse.

South High School is a public high school in Torrance, California. It is one of five high schools in the Torrance Unified School District.

The Woman's Club of Redondo Beach is part of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC) and was founded in 1908. Included in the Mission Statement of the Woman's Club of Redondo Beach is the care and preservation of their Clubhouse which was built in 1922 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hotel Redondo was a hotel in Redondo Beach, California, that opened in 1890 and was demolished in 1925. The hotel, which had 225 rooms in three stories, was built in a High Victorian style. Construction cost approximately $500,000. At the time, it was one of the most important hotels in Southern California.

The old Redondo Beach Public Library is a small Spanish mission-style public works building located in Redondo Beach, California. It was built in the 1930s by Lovell Bearse Pemberton and is located adjacent to the Redondo Beach Pier, a popular tourist attraction in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The building's main entrance faces east, towards a large open space park filled with a veterans' memorial and playground. The backside of the building faces the Pacific Ocean and offers benches for tourists to enjoy the view. The new library was opened in 1995.

Pacific Unitarian Church is a Unitarian Universalist congregation located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. It is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, within the Pacific Southwest District. PUC was recognized as one of four "Breakthrough Congregations" in 2008, reflected in a $75,000 donation to Community Church UU of New Orleans. Membership as of 2019 is around 180 with weekly attendance averaging over 90 adults and children.

The Redondo Beach pier is located in Redondo Beach, California and stretches out into the Pacific Ocean. The pier has been rebuilt and altered by storms and redevelopments. Its official name is "Municipal Pier," and it has also been called the "Endless Pier". The pier started out as a disjointed group of wharves near the end of the 19th century but evolved into an interconnected structure after a series of storms and demolitions throughout the 20th century. The pier area used to be heavily crowded with tourists and locals during the 1970s, but began to decline after the nearby Seaport Village project failed and went into bankruptcy in 1982. In 1988, the pier was severely battered by two winter storms, and on May 27 it burned to the waterline due to an electrical short circuit (the fire was so large that a SigAlert was announced for the San Diego Freeway several miles away). The pier's modern reinforced concrete version was completed in 1995 and has brought back the appeal to Redondo Beach's business district ever since.

Bishop Montgomery High School (commonly referred to as "BMHS" or simply "Bishop" by students) is a Catholic high school serving twenty-five parishes in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. BMHS was founded in 1957, and staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Conventual Franciscans, and lay faculty. The 24-acre (97,000 m2) campus is located in Torrance, California, in southwest Los Angeles County, one mile (1.6 km) from the Pacific Ocean and the Del Amo Mall. The coeducational student body is approximately 900 students in grades 9 through 12, making BMHS the sixth largest private high school in Los Angeles County. The school is named for the first American-born Bishop of Monterey-Los Angeles, the Most Reverend George Thomas Montgomery. As the ordinary of the diocese from 1896 to 1902, Bishop Montgomery demanded that government recognize the right of parents to send their children to schools of their choice.BMHS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and offers a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum combined with Christian values. Advanced Placement courses are offered in all major subjects, and 98 percent of graduates pursue higher education.
