Velez College is a private educational institution in Cebu City, Cebu, widely known for offering allied health degrees. It was founded by Dr. Jacinto Velez Sr. in 1952, who was then chairman of the board of trustees of Cebu (Velez) General Hospital School of Nursing. It was incorporated under the Philippine Corporation Law on March 28, 1966. The institution has four component colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Medical Technology, College of Nursing, and College of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Bradford Memorial Chapel, also known as Matilda Bradford Memorial Chapel, is a Protestant church located in Cebu City, Philippines. Built in 1913, it is the only Protestant church in Cebu declared as a national historical landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

The Horizons 101 is a condominium complex in Cebu City. Tower 1 of the two-tower complex was completed in late 2015. At 185 meters tall with 55 floors, it is presently the country's tallest building outside of Metro Manila and is the tallest building in Cebu City. Tower 2 at 168 meters tall with 46 floors is Cebu City's 2nd tallest building and was finished in early 2019. The name Horizon 101 comes from the two towers' total number of floors of 55 + 46 = 101.

St. Theresa's College of Cebu (STC), is a private Catholic institution of basic and higher learning run by the sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cebu City, Philippines. It was founded by the Immaculate heart of Mary sisters on June 1, 1933 upon the invitation of Monsignor Gabriel Reyes, then Archbishop of Cebu.The institution offers all levels of instruction for boys and girls from preschool to Grade 6, for girls exclusively in junior high school (grades 7-10), and for men and women in senior high school (grades 11 & 12) and college.

Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) is a government-owned hospital in Cebu City, Philippines. VSMMC is a general tertiary medical center teaching training medical facility owned by the Philippine Government. It aims to provide health care services that are available, affordable, accessible and acceptable to all regardless of social status. Its operation started as early as 1911 known as Hospital del Sur and was formally established on April 11, 1913, and through Act 2725 that it granted its legal status on January 12, 1913. The name was then changed to Southern Islands Hospital with only 30 beds at its inception. On June 1, 1992, RA 7588 was approved increasing the bed capacity of VSMMC from 150 beds to 400 beds. On June 22, 1998, Republic Act No. 8658 was approved increasing the bed capacity of VSMMC from 400 to 800 beds. On April 26, 2016, under Republic Act No. 10770 increasing the bed capacity of VSMMC from 800 to 1200 bed capacity and appropriating funds therefor. Presently, the VSMMC is implementing its new direction with the development of Specialty and Sub-specialties under the different clinical departments. These Specialty and Subspecialties include the General Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Uro-Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesiology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Emergency Medicine; Family Medicine and Pediatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine Department, Dental Services Unit and the National Voluntary Blood Services Program.

Cebu Normal University (Filipino: Pamantasang Normal ng Cebu), abbreviated as CNU, is a state research university in Cebu City, Philippines established in 1902. CNU is designated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as Center of Excellence (COE) in both Nursing Education and Teacher Education.

Chong Hua Hospital (simplified Chinese: 崇华医院; traditional Chinese: 崇華醫院; pinyin: Chónghuá Yīyuàn) is a hospital in Cebu City, Philippines. It is a non-stock, non-profit organization, owned and managed by the Asociación Benévola de Cebú.In 2009, it became the first hospital outside Luzón and third in the Philippines to be accredited by Joint Commission International. The hospital had been able to keep its agency accreditation until 2015.Chong Hua has 660 bed capacity and is located near the Fuente Osmeña Circle, a city landmark.

Cebu City Public Library and Information Center traces its roots from the Cebu Branch Library of the Philippine Library and Museum, now the National Library of the Philippines. It was organized and opened to the public on April 13, 1919 by Mr. Guillermo Restun, the Chief Librarian from the Ilo-ilo Branch. The province of Cebu took charge of the initial collection and other maintenance and operating expenses. Since its establishment, the public library has been housed in many different buildings until in 1938 an edifice was inaugurated for the library. The Rizal Memorial Library and Museum Building became its permanent home. This entire three story building served as a fount of knowledge among education-conscious Cebuanos. When the Second World War broke out, the library was closed. The building was utilized as headquarters by the Japanese Army, and books were either dumped, ruined or stolen. In 1953, the institution was reopened due to public clamor. The Cebu City Government appropriated a budget for the library collection and other operating expenses.

Rizal Memorial Library and Museum is a three-story, pre-war, neoclassical heritage site and landmark in Cebu City, Philippines. Dedicated to the national hero, Jose P. Rizal, it was designed by Filipino architect Juan Marcos Arellano, who also designed the Cebu Provincial Capitol building. Inaugurated in 1939, the building survived World War II. It is located along Osmeña Boulevard and houses the offices of Cebu City Tourism, the Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission, the Sinulog Hall on the third floor, the Cebu City Museum of Visual Arts on the second floor, and the Cebu City Public Library on the ground floor.

The Cebu City Sports Center, formerly called as Abellana Sports Complex is a track and field and football stadium located in Cebu City, Philippines. The complex was built by the city to serve as the main venue for the 1994 Palarong Pambansa and accommodate large events of various kinds. It is owned and managed by the Cebu City government. A number of major events have taken place at the Complex, including concerts, sports events, governmental activities, and the Sinulog Festival, which is held there every year. In addition, Philippines Football League club Global Cebu F.C. has made the stadium their home since entering the league in 2017. The Sinulog Foundation, responsible for the organization of the Sinulog Festival, is taking office in the complex and the Sinulog contest is usually held there. The Cebu City Sports Complex has been used by the local government to discuss political problems, like population transfer and urban renewal with local neighborhood organizations. In August 2012, it was announced that the stadium will host its first ever international match, a friendly between Singapore national football team and the Philippines national football team, ending in a 1–0 win for the Philippines. In 2014, the Philippines national team returned to the stadium in a friendly match against Malaysia, ending in a 0–0 draw.

The Southwestern University, officially the Southwestern University PHINMA (SWU PHINMA), is a private university in Cebu City, Philippines. Founded and opened in the summer of 1946 by two pharmacists, SWU originally started as Southwestern Colleges and achieved university status on December 11, 1959. The university and its base hospital were acquired by PHINMA Education, a subsidiary of PHINMA Corporation in 2015. The university was renamed to Southwestern University PHINMA and the hospital from Sacred Heart Hospital to Southwestern University Medical Center. The university changed the logo and closed its South Campus in Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City. It has a large number of international students from different countries. It is widely recognized as the most diverse institution in Cebu due to the various nationality of students that came from 34 countries in five continents.
