The Normandy Park Historic District is a 57-acre (23 ha) historic district located along Normandy Parkway, between Columbia Turnpike and Madison Avenue, in the Convent Station section of Morris Township in Morris County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 6, 1996, for its significance in architecture and community planning. The district has 17 contributing buildings and 9 contributing objects.

The Morris County Golf Club (MCGC) is a private, members-only golf club located on 175 acres (71 ha) in the upscale Convent Station section of Morris Township, New Jersey, a suburb northwest of New York City in Morris County. It is one of the 10 founding member clubs of the New Jersey State Golf Association.Founded in 1894, it was unique at the time in that it was established and operated by women only. The following year, MCGC became an early member of the United States Golf Association and was the first New Jersey venue to host a national championship. Two of the club's presidents have also served as United States Golf Association presidents.

Morristown Beard School is a coeducational, independent, college-preparatory day school located in Morristown, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Serving students in sixth through twelfth grades, the school has two academic units: an Upper School (9-12) and a Middle School (6-8). The present-day Morristown Beard School was formed from the 1971 merger of two single-sex schools: the Beard School for Girls and the Morristown School for Boys. The Commission on Secondary Schools at the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools has accredited the school since 1973.Peter J. Caldwell served as Morristown Beard School's Head of School from 2011-2021. Liz Morrison assumed the role of Head of School on July 1, 2021.

The George Griswold Frelinghuysen Arboretum (127 acres) is an arboretum located at 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey. It is open daily without charge. It is also the headquarters of the Morris County Parks Commission.The arboretum features thematic collections of plant life, including ornamental grasses, spring-blooming shrubs and perennials, summer shrubs and cutbacks, fall fruit and foliage, shade trees, and a garden called the "promising plants garden" which has underused plants supplied by nurseries, growers, and breeders. In front of the large main house there is the Great Lawn, a large gently sloping manicured grassy expanse in the style of an English county manor landscape; it is the site of outdoor concerts in the warmer months. There are different nature and horse trails. There is a Braille Nature Trail in a small wooded hollow just off the Great Lawn which was designed for hands-on exploration. The Kathryn A. Porter "Branching Out!" Garden is worked on by children ages 5–13 during a spring after-school and summer program; the course of study includes cooking and crafts. Participants grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers to take home. The Patriots' Path is a network of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails and green open spaces, and links to other parks in New Jersey.

Convent Station is a unincorporated community located within Morris Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is named after the Convent Station railroad station that was constructed along the Morris and Essex Lines during the 1870s.Among the neighborhoods of Convent Station are Bradwahl, Cromwell Hills, and the Normandy Park Historic District; which was added in 1996 to both the National and New Jersey registers of historic places. The Morris Township Municipal Building and Police Headquarters are located in Convent Station. The community is home to the Morris County Golf Club, the Morris Museum, and Saint Elizabeth University, a private Catholic, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts university founded in 1899.

Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) (formerly College of Saint Elizabeth) is a private Catholic, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts university in Morris Township, New Jersey. Portions of the campus are also in Florham Park.SEU has 25 undergraduate majors, 16 master's degree programs and two doctoral programs (Psy.D. and Ed.D. with two tracks, K-12 leadership, and higher education leadership). The university also offers six combined degree programs, 10 dual degree programs and professional certificate programs in counseling, education, health care, management, ministry, nutrition and other fields.

Alnwick Hall is a historic manor in Morris Township, New Jersey. It was built in 1904 for Edward P. Meany, legal counsel for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, Judge Advocate General of New Jersey and Vice President of the New Mexico Central and Southern Railway.Alnwick Hall was designed to resemble Alnwick Castle by architect Percy Griffin. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 11, 1985.

Melinta Therapeutics, founded in 2000 as Rib-X Pharmaceuticals, is an American publicly traded biopharmaceutical firm that focuses on the design and development of novel broad-spectrum antibiotics for the treatment of antibiotic-resistant infections in hospital settings. The company is located in Parsippany, New Jersey.In mid-2011, Sanofi entered into a global research collaboration and licensing option with the company to develop and commercialize novel antibiotics. It was renamed Melinta Therapeutics in 2013.One of its products, delafloxacin (Baxdela), a fluoroquinolone antibiotic acquired from Wakunaga Pharmaceutical in 2006, was approved by the FDA in 2017.As of 2016, the company was also developing radezolid, a next-generation oxazolidinone for bacterial acne.Melinta shredded off its discovery research team in late 2018. It also moved its headquarters from New Haven to Morristown, New Jersey in early 2019. On December 27, 2019, Melinta Therapeutics filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.On April 2020, it was transferred to affiliates of its creditor Deerfield Management.

Convent Station is a NJ Transit rail station on the Morristown Line. It is located on the grounds of Saint Elizabeth University in Convent Station, Morris Township, New Jersey.The station first opened in 1867. A small wooden structure was built in 1876 and called Convent Station. The existing station house, built in 1913–1914, has two side platforms, with the station house on the eastbound platform. A ticket office and waiting room is open weekdays. On the westbound track a brick waiting house stands. A former freight station is on the eastbound side. The main driveway into the college is located at a level crossing at the east end of the platform. Nearby are several office complexes, including the headquarters of Honeywell to the north and Pfizer at Giralda Farms to the east. The Traction Line Recreation Trail, formerly a line of the Morris County Traction Company, runs along the northeastern side of the line.

Acorn Hall is an 1853 Victorian Italianate mansion located at 68 Morris Avenue in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 3, 1973, for its significance in architecture. It serves as the headquarters of the Morris County Historical Society, which operates Acorn Hall as a historic house museum. After inheriting the property, antiwar activist and actress Mary Crane Hone tried for decades to donate the property for historical preservation, finally succeeding in 1971.

Oak Dell, also known as the Dr. Granville M. White House, is a historic mansion located at the corner of Franklin Street and Madison Avenue in the town of Morristown in Morris County, New Jersey. It is one of the few surviving mansions on "Millionaires Row" along Madison Avenue. Part of the Morristown Multiple Resource Area (MRA), it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 1986, for its significance in architecture.

The Academy of Saint Elizabeth is a private college preparatory secondary school for young women located in Convent Station, New Jersey, United States. Established in 1860, the academy is the oldest secondary school for women in New Jersey. The school is within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson, but operates on an independent basis. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1928 and is accredited until January 2027.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 192 students and 21.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.1:1. The school's student body was 85.9% (165) White, 6.3% (12) two or more races, 4.2% (8) Hispanic, 2.1% (4) Asian and 1.6% (3) Black.The community of Convent Station, which is adjacent to Morristown, was named for the railway station constructed in the 1870s to accommodate the 200-acre (0.81 km2) complex of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth that also includes Saint Elizabeth University and Saint Anne's Villa. The religious order was founded in 1859 in Newark, but in 1860 the motherhouse of the new religious order and the academy were established on the site. The academy is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.
