The Academy of Saint Elizabeth is a private college preparatory secondary school for young women located in Convent Station, New Jersey, United States. Established in 1860, the academy is the oldest secondary school for women in New Jersey. The school is within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson, but operates on an independent basis. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1928 and is accredited until January 2027.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 192 students and 21.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.1:1. The school's student body was 85.9% (165) White, 6.3% (12) two or more races, 4.2% (8) Hispanic, 2.1% (4) Asian and 1.6% (3) Black.The community of Convent Station, which is adjacent to Morristown, was named for the railway station constructed in the 1870s to accommodate the 200-acre (0.81 km2) complex of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth that also includes Saint Elizabeth University and Saint Anne's Villa. The religious order was founded in 1859 in Newark, but in 1860 the motherhouse of the new religious order and the academy were established on the site. The academy is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.

Convent Station is a unincorporated community located within Morris Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is named after the Convent Station railroad station that was constructed along the Morris and Essex Lines during the 1870s.Among the neighborhoods of Convent Station are Bradwahl, Cromwell Hills, and the Normandy Park Historic District; which was added in 1996 to both the National and New Jersey registers of historic places. The Morris Township Municipal Building and Police Headquarters are located in Convent Station. The community is home to the Morris County Golf Club, the Morris Museum, and Saint Elizabeth University, a private Catholic, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts university founded in 1899.

The Traction Line Recreation Trail is a multi-use rail trail located in Morristown, New Jersey.This 2-mile (3.2 km) trail uses a rail corridor which was built for the Morris County Traction Company trolley line, which runs alongside New Jersey Transit's Morris & Essex Lines in Morris Township, New Jersey. The trail is maintained by the Morris County Park Commission.

Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) (formerly College of Saint Elizabeth) is a private Catholic, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts university in Morris Township, New Jersey. Portions of the campus are also in Florham Park.SEU has 25 undergraduate majors, 16 master's degree programs and two doctoral programs (Psy.D. and Ed.D. with two tracks, K-12 leadership, and higher education leadership). The university also offers six combined degree programs, 10 dual degree programs and professional certificate programs in counseling, education, health care, management, ministry, nutrition and other fields.

The Morris County Golf Club (MCGC) is a private, members-only golf club located on 175 acres (71 ha) in the upscale Convent Station section of Morris Township, New Jersey, a suburb northwest of New York City in Morris County. It is one of the 10 founding member clubs of the New Jersey State Golf Association.Founded in 1894, it was unique at the time in that it was established and operated by women only. The following year, MCGC became an early member of the United States Golf Association and was the first New Jersey venue to host a national championship. Two of the club's presidents have also served as United States Golf Association presidents.

Alnwick Hall is a historic manor in Morris Township, New Jersey. It was built in 1904 for Edward P. Meany, legal counsel for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, Judge Advocate General of New Jersey and Vice President of the New Mexico Central and Southern Railway.Alnwick Hall was designed to resemble Alnwick Castle by architect Percy Griffin. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 11, 1985.

Boisaubin Manor is a historic brick house located on Treadwell Avenue in the Convent Station section of Chatham Township, southeast of Morristown, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. Built sometime between 1822 and 1834, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 22, 1976, for its significance in art and architecture.

Florham is a former Vanderbilt estate that is located in Madison and Florham Park, New Jersey. It was built during the 1890s for Hamilton McKown Twombly and his wife, Florence Adele Vanderbilt, a member of the Vanderbilt family. Now part of the Florham Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, the mansion is one of the ten largest houses in the United States.

Bayley-Ellard High School was a Roman Catholic high school in Madison, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Established in 1880, it was one of the oldest parochial high schools in the area. The school, which was operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson, closed in 2005 due to declining enrollment.

The New Jersey Inventor's Hall of Fame was established in 1987 to honor individuals and corporations in New Jersey for their inventions. Award recipients are recognized at the annual Award Banquet Dinner. The New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame operated from 1987 to 2002 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, from 2003 to 2007 with support from the Research and Development Council of New Jersey. Starting in 2008 it was under the aegis of Stevens Institute of Technology Office of Academic Entrepreneurship. In 2010, Greenberg Traurig became a co-sponsor of the organization.

The Normandy Park Historic District is a 57-acre (23 ha) historic district located along Normandy Parkway, between Columbia Turnpike and Madison Avenue, in the Convent Station section of Morris Township in Morris County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 6, 1996, for its significance in architecture and community planning. The district has 17 contributing buildings and 9 contributing objects.

The Loantaka Brook Reservation is a nature reserve and public park in the American state of New Jersey in Morris County. It consists of five miles of nature trails for jogging, hiking, and biking. Seaton Hackney Stables, owned and operated by the Morris County Park Commission, offers horseback riding at an adjacent property with trail riding along a long and narrow corridor near the Loantaka Brook. It has four distinct areas including the South Street recreation facilities, the Seaton Hackney Stables, the Loantaka Brook area at Kitchell Road, and the Loantaka Way Trail.
