Abasan al-Saghira (Arabic: عبسان الصغيرة) is a Palestinian agricultural town located in the Khan Yunis Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the southern Gaza Strip. It is located 2 km southeast of Khan Yunis. According to the 2017 census conducted by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Abasan al-Saghira had a population of 9,290.

Abasan al-Kabira (Arabic: عبسان الكبيرة) is a Palestinian city located in the Khan Yunis Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the southern Gaza Strip. It is connected with Khan Yunis city by a local street that crosses other villages like Bani Suheila and Khuza'a. Abasan al-Kabera and the nearby village of Abasan al-Saghira, have in recent years been built up to each other so that they form a larger urban area around Khan Yunis.According to the 2017 census conducted by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the city had a population of 26,767. The city primarily depends on agriculture for income. Moreover, small industry is involved with producing construction supplies like bricks and agricultural implements, while some residents work in commerce. The society is strongly influenced by tribal structure so, there are many extended families such as Qudayh in (Arabic: قديح) (the Ashraaf of the Holy Land), Alshawaf, Al-Daghmah, M'ssabih, Abu Yousef, Abu Mustafa, Abu Tair, Abu Dagga, Abu Tabash, Abu Draz, Abu Mutlaq, Abu Hamed, Abu Subha and Abu Amer, Abu Tuaima. The families generally turn to custom to solve disputes amongst themselves.

Bani Suheila (Arabic: بني سهيلا) is a municipality in the Gaza Strip, in the Khan Yunis Governorate of the State of Palestine. The town is located 2 km (1.2 mi) east of the city of Khan Younis. As of 2017, Bani Suheila had a population of 41,439 people.

The Al Qarara Cultural Museum (Arabic: متحف القرارة الثقافي) was a museum in al-Qarara, near Khan Yunis, in the Gaza Strip. Founded in 2016, the museum featured the archaeology and history of the area, collected by its founders and by local community members. It was destroyed by Israeli forces in October 2023.

The European Hospital (Arabic: مستشفى غزة الاوروبي) is a public hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestine. It was initially founded by the UNRWA with a grant from the European Union in 1989. Initial construction plans for the European Hospital were estimated to cost $45 million, with 232 beds, to provide for the primary and secondary healthcare of 400,000 people in the surrounding area of Gaza. The hospital was still under construction in 1999.The hospital served an estimated 17,500 monthly patients as of 2019, and is one of the three main referral hospitals in the Gaza Strip. According to a UNDP report, the health services provided at the hospital include laboratory services, imaging services (CT, MRI, X-ray), intensive care units, and specialised surgeries.

Khuza'a (Arabic: خزاعة) is a Palestinian town in the Khan Yunis Governorate in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Khuza'a had a population of 11,388 inhabitants in 2017.The town of Khuza'a is around 500 metres from the Green Line. British International School in Gaza (Arabic: المدرسة البريطانية الدولية في غزة) is a school located in Gaza, Palestine. It was founded in 2016, and offered an international curriculum for their students. Students could study for the British A-levels and American General Educational Development qualifications. The school closed on October 7, 2023, due to the Gaza war.

Barquq Castle (Arabic: قلعة برقوق, romanized: Qalʿat Barqūq), also known as the Younis al-Nuruzi Caravansari or simply Khan Younis, was a Mamluk-era fortified caravanserai and mosque, and the eponymous historical monument of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. It is one of the most important Mamluk fortifications in the region of Palestine. The castle is 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, along the historical road from Cairo to Damascus known as the Via Maris. The Palestinian city of Khan Yunis is named after the site. It was damaged during the Israel–Hamas war.

Palestine College of Nursing is a Palestinian university college which is administratively and financially affiliated to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Its academic program is supervised by the Palestinian Ministry of High Education. It was first founded in 1976 under the name "The school of nurses" which was changed in 1994 to its current name after the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority.

Khan Yunis (Arabic: خان يونس, also spelled Khan Younis or Khan Yunus; lit. 'Caravansary [of] Jonah') is a city in the southern Gaza Strip; it is the capital of the Khan Yunis Governorate in the Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Khan Yunis had a population of 205,125 in 2017. Khan Yunis, which lies only 4 kilometers (about 2.5 miles) east of the Mediterranean Sea, has a semi-arid climate with temperature of 30 degrees Celsius maximum in summer and 10 degrees Celsius minimum in winter, with an annual rainfall of approximately 260 mm (10.2 in). The Constituency of Khan Yunis had five members on the Palestinian Legislative Council. Following the 2006 Palestinian legislative election, there were three Hamas members, including Yunis al-Astal, and two Fatah members, including Mohammed Dahlan. The city is now under the Hamas administration of Gaza.

Al-Fukhari (Arabic: الفَخّاري, also spelled al-Fokari or al-Fukhkhari) is a Palestinian town in the Khan Yunis Governorate in the southern Gaza Strip, located between Khuza'a and Rafah. It sits on the eastern side of the Sufa Crossing road, just west of the border with Israel.In the 1997 census by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), it had a population of 2,616, rising to an estimated 6,443 in 2017. During the 2005 Palestinian municipal elections, the Fatah party and Independents won the majority of seats in al-Fukhari's municipal council. The town's mayor is Hasan al-Amouri.Al-Fukhari's total land area consists of 4,767 dunams of which 37.3% is built-up (overwhelmingly residential) and most of the remainder used for agricultural purposes.

Al-Qarara or Al Qarara (Arabic: القرارة) is a Palestinian town located north of Khan Yunis, in the Khan Yunis Governorate of the southern Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, al-Qarara had a population of 29,004 inhabitants in 2017, The town is 15 miles south of Gaza City, and used to be a farming village. It lies on trade routes dating back to the Bronze Age.The town was home to the Al Qarara Cultural Museum, but that museum was destroyed by Israeli forces in late 2023 due to the 2023 Israel–Hamas war. The Israeli military had also ordered that town to be evacuated due to the war.A pedestrian bridge over Salah Aldin Street for students was completed in the town in September 2023. The bridge had been funded by Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects program.
