Maudrie M. Walton Elementary School is a public elementary school in Stop Six, Fort Worth, Texas. It is a part of the Fort Worth Independent School District. In 2003 PBS released a documentary called A Tale of Two Schools which features the school's reputational growth and educational methods used from fall 2000 to spring 2001, along that with those of R. H. Bearden Elementary School in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. According to The Texas Tribune, the school had 328 students for the 2021-2022 school year. Of those, 68.9% were considered possible future drop-outs. In general, the teacher salaries were higher than the state-wide average. The school serves area public housing. It previously had a reputation as among the lowest performing schools in Fort Worth, but by the early 2000s had among the highest rankings. Walton achieved the "recognized" ranking from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The school used the "Reading Mastery" program to increase its test scores. Following a 2020 library fire believed to have been an act of arson, the Junior League of Fort Worth, Inc. (JLFW) held an online book drive to replenish the library's holdings.

The Central Handley Historic District is located in Handley, Fort Worth, Texas, seven miles east of downtown. The district was the commercial center of the unincorporated small town of Handley (ca. 1910 to 1951) which was subsequently annexed into the city of Fort Worth, Texas in 1946. Platted in 1885 by the Texas & Pacific Railway, the growth of the town was influenced by the presence of the railroad and the arrival of the Northern Texas Traction Company’s Interurban streetcar system operating between Fort Worth and Dallas in 1902. As the location of the traction company's power plant and car barns, the town became home to employees of both the Northern Texas Traction Company and the T&P. The Central Handley Historic District was oriented on the north side of the railway reservation with the depot located along the southern border of the district. The businesses within the district served not only the local residents and area farmers but the commuters who traveled on the railroad and the Interurban.It was named for James Madison Handley, a Georgia native and veteran of the U.S. Civil War. It was added to the National Register on January 17, 2002.

Paul Laurence Dunbar High School is a comprehensive high school in the Stop Six neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas, United States. Named for the dialectical poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, the school strives to educate the majority African-American community it serves.

Eastern Hills High School is a four-year public high school in Fort Worth, Texas, United States. The school is educating students in grades 9–12, as part of the Fort Worth Independent School District. In an historical footnote, the band from the school played "Hail to the Chief" during President John F. Kennedy's visit to Dallas–Fort Worth in November 1963. EHHS is also the only school in the world with two Pulitizer Prize-winning photographers as alums -- "Skeeter" Hagler and Michael Ainsworth. The school has been recognized by the National Football League as part of its 50th Anniversary Super Bowl High School Honor Roll for serving as the home school for two former Super Bowl Players - Uwe von Schamann and Byron Chamberlain - as well as for Doug Hart, who played for the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowls I and II following graduation from EHHS's predecessor, Handley High School. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,215 students and 96.2 classroom teachers (on a FTE basis, for a student-teacher ratio of 12.6:1.

KFLC (1270 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Benbrook, Texas and broadcasting to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The station is owned and operated by Latino Media Network, with studios located in the Univision 23 studios in the Arts District in Downtown Dallas. KFLC airs a Spanish language sports radio format, primarily airing programming from Univision's TUDN Radio Network, and also carries Spanish language play by play featuring Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and FC Dallas. KFLC is a Class B regional station, that uses a directional antenna at all times from its transmitter site off East Lancaster Avenue (Route e xdzf e5fr180) in Fort Worth. During the day it operates with 50,000 watts, the maximum power permitted for U.S. AM radio stations. At night, when AM band signals travel much greater distances, it reduces power to 5,000 watts to limit interference to other stations broadcasting on 1270 AM. KFLC is licensed by iBiquity to broadcast a digital signal using the HD system. KFLC is also rebroadcasting on KDXX's HD Radio subchannel 107.9 HD3.

The Battle of Village Creek occurred on May 24, 1841, on the embankments of Village Creek. The battle, which evolved into a running gunfight between the Republic of Texas militia and the Village Creek tribes, was attributed to the increased Native American raids on Anglo settlements in the Red River counties.

Nolan Catholic High School is a private, coeducational, college preparatory school, formerly in the Marianist tradition, and is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas. It serves grades 9-12, has an average student population of 800, and serves the Church by educating and forming youth in the Roman Catholic faith through its mission.

Woodhaven is a neighborhood at the corner of Interstate 30 and the Loop 820 East interchange in Fort Worth, Texas, United States. The neighborhood is bounded by the Trinity River to the north and the former CBS Channel 11 KTVT studios to the south. The Woodhaven Country Club, which has a clubhouse, a 6,543-yard, par 71, 18-hole golf course, a swimming pool, and tennis courts, is the center of the community.
