Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (Turkish: İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi) is a Turkish private higher-education institution established by "İlim Yayma Vakfı" (literally: Foundation for Popularization of Science) on April 24, 2010. The education at the university began in the 2011–12 term.The university was named after Sabahattin Zaim (1926-2007), who was a professor of economics in the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University until 1993. A Macedonian from birth, he served as the founding rector of the International University of Sarajevo in 2003-04 after he taught at several universities in and outside Turkey. He was also a founding member of İlim Yayma Vakfı.The university's main campus is located in Halkalı, Küçükçekmece, Faculty building is situated in Altunizade and the some Research Centers in Eyüp.

Atatürk Mahallesi is an underground station on the M9 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Öztürk Street in the Atatürk neighbourhood of Küçükçekmece. It was opened on 18 March 2024, with the extension of M9 from Bahariye to Ataköy. The station was originally designed to be a single station complex with the future M7 line station. When the M7 line extension was revised in 2021, it was decided that the connection between the stations would be abandoned and that the M7 station would be built with the shaft type. Another revision was made in 2023, which meant that this decision was abandoned and it was decided to build the M7 station in a tunnel type and connect it to the M9 station via a pedestrian underpass of approximately 130 meters.

Halkalı Caddesi is an underground station on the M9 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Halkalı Street in the Atatürk neighbourhood of Küçükçekmece. It was opened on 18 March 2024, with the extension of M9 from Bahariye to Ataköy.

Bahariye is an underground station on the M9 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located on Şehit Albay Rıdvan Özden Street in the Memet Akif neighbourhood of Küçükçekmece. It was opened on 29 May 2021, and is the current southern terminus of the line.

Halkalı station (Turkish: Halkalı garı) is the westernmost station on the Marmaray line as well as in Istanbul. The station also services regional trains to Edirne, Uzunköprü, Çerkezköy and international trains to Sofia. In summer there may be through trains to Bucharest too; for Belgrade you are likely to have to change several times. Halkalı station is 27.63 km (17.17 mi) from the Istanbul Sirkeci Terminal .

Mimar Sinan is an underground station on the M9 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Mimar Sinan Street in the Bağlar neighbourhood of Bağcılar. Due to slow construction progress, it could not be opened with the rest of the extension of M9 from Bahariye to Ataköy on 18 March 2024. Instead, it will be opened in May 2024.It will become an interchange with the M1B line in the future.

Kanarya station (Turkish: Kanarya istasyonu) was a station on the Istanbul suburban in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. Located along the eastern shore of Lake Küçükçekmece, it was the second westernmost stop on the line, before Halkalı. The station consisted of an island platform serving two tracks. Kanarya station was opened on 4 December 1955 by the Turkish State Railways as part of the electric commuter rail service from Sirkeci to Halkalı. The station saw its last train of 1 March 2013 and was demolished shortly after. The new Marmaray commuter rail system did not rebuild the station to modern standards, closing down Kanarya after over 57 years of service.

Galatasaray Rowing Team is the men's and women's rowing section of Galatasaray S.K., a major sports club in Istanbul, Turkey. The club is based at Lake Küçükçekmece, in Kanarya neighborhood west of İstanbul.İhsan Emre Vural and his teammate Ahmet Yumrukaya became the first world-champions in the history of Turkey when they got first place in the 2004 World Rowing Under 23 Championships held in Poznań, Poland. In 2013, Galatasaray Rowing Team won Turkish Rowing Championship Cup.

Galatasaray Küçükçekmece Rowing Center is the training center of Galatasaray Rowing Team. It is located at Küçükçekmece, İstanbul.

The Mall of İstanbul (with a dotted capital I, the Turkish spelling of the word İstanbul; abbreviated form MOİ) is a 3,800,000 sq ft (350,000 m2) mixed-use development in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul, centered around one of Turkey's largest shopping malls with 154,000 m2 (1,660,000 sq ft) of gross leasable area. The complex includes office spaces, a 175-room Hilton Hotel that opened in 2020, an IMAX theater within a fifteen-screen cinema, and a 700-seat theater known as MOİ Sahne. Other facilities comprise an amusement park (MOİPark), a nature park, a gourmet center, terraced gardens, swimming pools, a club and spa, sports fields, and WOX Turkey, an illusion and toy museum. The complex opened in April 2014, featuring approximately 350 retail stores. Notable developments in Turkish retail at the site included the introduction of the first two-story LC Waikiki, the first H&M Home store in the country, the first full-line Victoria's Secret store in Turkey, and the second Debenhams store in the nation, following its initial location at Istanbul Cevahir. Both Debenhams locations ceased operations in 2017. As of June 2024, the retail anchors and larger tenants at the complex include prominent brands such as Armani Exchange, Beymen Club, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Gant, Guess, Harry Potter Store, Lacoste, Massimo Dutti, Mango, Sephora, Swarovski, Tommy Hilfiger, Vakko Boutique, Boyner, Decathlon, DeFacto, H&M, Koçtaş, Koton, LC Waikiki, Marks & Spencer, MediaMarkt, 5M Migros and TeknoSA.
