Market Street (Lewisburg, Pennsylvania)

Lewisburg Area High School is a small rural/suburban public school located in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by the Lewisburg Area School District. Lewisburg Area High School serves: Lewisburg Borough, Kelly Township, East Buffalo Township and Union Township that collectively have a population of 19,173 people according to the 2010 US Census. In addition to the traditional bricks-and-mortar format, the school offers a cyber school called Blended Academy, alternative education and technology and job skills training at SUN Area Technical Institute.

7th Street is a downtown street in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It runs for around 1.06 miles (1.71 km), from North 10th Street in the northwest to River Road in the southeast. North of its intersection with Market Street (Pennsylvania Route 45), it is named North 7th Street; south of it, it is South 7th Street. From the West Branch Susquehanna River inland, Market Street's cross streets are numbered 2 through 8, with Front Street replacing what was originally 1st Street. Lewisburg's street layout was designed by Ludwig Derr in 1785, and is believed to have been inspired by that of Philadelphia. As well as passing through downtown Lewisburg, (South) 7th Street bisects the heart of the Bucknell University campus. In 2024, Lewisburg Neighborhoods, a non-profit community development organization, was awarded around $5 million to improve the streetscapes of 7th Street, South 5th Street and the Bull Run Greenway.

Hufnagle Park is an urban park in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It runs for around 0.18 miles (0.29 km), from Market Street in the northwest to Saint Catharine Street in the southeast, and is bounded by South 6th Street to the west and South 5th Street to the north. Saint Louis Street bisects it just southeast of its midpoint. Bull Run runs along its western edge. The park contains a picnic pavilion, playground equipment, and gardens. It is named in honor of former Public Safety director Gordon Hufnagle, who died saving lives during the Agnes Flood on June 21, 1972. A covered footbridge just north of the park was built in his honor in 1982. Hufnagle Park is a terminus of the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail. The 9.5-mile (15.3 km) trail runs westward from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg following the rail bed of the Lewisburg & Tyrone Railroad, which was decommissioned in 1982. In 2009, the Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority acquired the right of way to the entire West Shore railroad which runs from Mifflinburg to Northumberland. The rail trail opened in 2011 and was extended in 2015. The former Reading Railroad Freight Station stands beyond the park's northeastern corner, on North 5th Street. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In the past, it was the commercial center for a fertile grain and general farming region. The population was 5,158 as of the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Union County. Located in central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna River Valley, on the West Branch Susquehanna River, Lewisburg is northwest of Sunbury. It is home to Bucknell University and is near the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary. Its 19th-century downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places. Lewisburg is the principal city of the Lewisburg, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area, and is also part of the larger Bloomsburg-Berwick-Sunbury, PA Combined Statistical Area.

Lewisburg is an historic, American railroad freight station that is located in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.

Chamberlin Iron Front Building is a historic commercial building located at Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1868, and is a three-story, brick building with a two-story rear addition in the Italianate style. It measures 56 feet wide and 160 feet deep. The main section has a flat roof and the addition a gable roof. It features a cast-iron front manufactured in Danville, Pennsylvania. Over the years the building has housed a general store, shoe store, feed store, and post office, as well as fraternal organizations on the upper floors.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is located in the Lewisburg Historic District.

Lewisburg Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Located immediately to the north of Bucknell University, and dating to 1848, it is a contributing site of the Lewisburg Historic District. There are around 13,000 burials in the cemetery. The cemetery is bounded by South 7th Street to the east (from which is the only entrance), St. Catharine Street to the north, and South Derr Drive (U.S. Route 15) to the west. (St. Catharine Street is now disjointed, its layout having been altered after the cemetery's expansions. A separate section continues east to South 6th Street at Hufnagle Park.)

Campus Theatre is an entertainment venue in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Opened in 1941, and located on Market Street, it is one of the few single-screen Art Deco movie houses in the country still in operation, and forms part of Lewisburg Historic District. It is now co-owned by Campus Theatre Ltd. and Bucknell University. The theater, designed by David Supowitz, was founded by the Steifel brothers (Oscar, Harold, Moritz (Morris) and Barney), Russian immigrants who ran an empire across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Its opening night was January 17, 1941, when it showed the Jack Benny and Fred Allen musical comedy Love Thy Neighbor. Moriss's son, Harold, took over the management of the theater in 1953, when his uncle, Barney, retired. In 2001, Bucknell University film and media studies professor Eric Faden leased the theater from Jacquie Steifel, Harold's widow, and founded Campus Theatre Ltd. as a nonprofit organization. Five years later, Bucknell purchased the building and leased it back to Campus Theatre Ltd. for $1 a year. The theater underwent a $2.5 million renovation in 2011, including the addition of the Bucknell Bison logo on its facade.

Kinney Natatorium is a multi-purpose natatorium located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The venue hosts home meets for the Bucknell Bison men's and women's swimming and diving teams and water polo teams. Kinney Natatorium was opened in 2002 and also host the PIAA swimming and diving championships annually.

Sojka Pavilion is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. It was built in 2003 and is home to the Bucknell University Bison basketball teams, replacing nearby Davis Gym. It is named for Dr. Gary Allan Sojka, a former president of the university who remained at the university as a professor of biology after the end of his term, until his retirement in 2006. It features locker rooms, a hardwood playing surface, concession stands, LED video boards, a team store, and a Jumbotron. In 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2018, Sojka Pavilion hosted the Patriot League men's basketball tournament championship final game.

Davis Gym is an indoor athletics facility on the campus of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. It is currently home to Bucknell Bison volleyball and wrestling. It was the primary venue for basketball and other indoor sports until the Sojka Pavilion opened in 2003. It hosted the Patriot League men's basketball tournament title game in 1993. Following renovations in the 1990s to add reserved seats, Davis Gym's listed capacity was 2,500, though on occasion standing room crowds exceeded that.Davis Gym is named for John Warren Davis, class of 1896 and chairman of the board of trustees at the time of its opening. It was dedicated in his honor in 1938. The gym replaced Tustin Gymnasium (now Tustin Hall), built in 1890. The building, located on the northern edge of campus with the Lewisburg Cemetery behind it, has a barrel vault ceiling, with end zone scoreboards and seating above the sides of the court. Formerly, bleachers were located courtside during its time as a basketball gym, and a stage was located at the rear (northwest) end of the building but has since been blocked off.

The Lewisburg Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
