The Casa Suárez is a house located in the city of Lima, Peru. It was declared Cultural heritage of the Nation in May 2007.

Huaca Pucllana or Huaca Juliana (possibly from Quechua wak'a a local shrine to a protector deity, a sacred place, sacred, pukllana game) is a great adobe and clay pyramid located in the Miraflores district of central Lima, Peru, built from seven staggered platforms. It served as an important ceremonial and administrative center for the advancement of the Lima Culture, a society which developed in the Peruvian Central Coast between the years of 200 AD and 700 AD. With the intended purpose of having the elite clergymen (who politically governed several valleys in the area) express their complete religious power and ability to control the use of all the natural water resources (saltwater and freshwater) of the zone, a Great Pyramid was constructed in the Huaca. As a whole, the structure is surrounded by a plaza, or central square, that borders the outer limits, and by a large structured wall dividing it into two separate sections. In one section there were benches and evidence of deep pits where offerings of fish and other marine life took place in order to attain the favor of the gods. The other section is an administrative area. This area contains various small clay structures and huts made of adobe–with some walls still standing–whose function seemed to be to act as the courtyards and patios of the enclosure which is over 500 meters in length, 100 in width and 22 in height. Other remains have been uncovered belonging to the Wari Culture (500 – 1000 AD), which was a direct influence on the Lima Culture society towards the ends of its time period. Of particular note are the remains of the "Señor de los Unkus" (The Lord of the Unkus), which belonged to the first tomb within the ceremonial center to have been discovered completely intact. This tomb holds three separate burial shrouds containing the remains of three adults–two of which have masks–and those of a sacrificed child.

Angamos is a Lima Metro station on Line 1. The station is located between Cabitos and San Borja Sur. It was opened on 11 July 2011 as part of the extension of the line from Atocongo to Miguel Grau. The full revenue service started on 3 January 2012.

El Olivar is a public park located in the neighbourhood of the same name in San Isidro District, Lima, Peru. Named after the olive trees located there since their introduction in 1560, it is part of the cultural heritage of Peru.

The Embassy of Sweden in Lima was Sweden's diplomatic mission in Peru. Diplomatic relations between Peru and Sweden were established in 1930 and the embassy opened the following year. It was closed in 2001 and reopened in 2016, only to close again in 2022. Since then, the Swedish ambassador in Santiago is also accredited to Lima.

San Isidro is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. It is located in the west center of the city, it has a few meters of coastline. Officially created on April 24, 1931, San Isidro, along with Orrantia and Country Club districts, was separated from Miraflores. San Isidro has become a major financial quarter in recent years, as many banks and businesses left downtown Lima to set up their headquarters in modern office blocks. It is inhabited by mostly upper middle and upper-class families.

The Raúl Porras Barrenechea Institute of the National University of San Marcos (IRPB-UNMSM) was founded in 1964 by the University of San Marcos in honor of the distinguished alum, Peruvian historian and diplomat Raúl Porras Barrenechea. The institute acts as a Center for Higher Studies and Peruvian Research, developing and promoting research mainly related to the areas of humanities, arts and social sciences. To this end, the institute offers researchers and the general public a library specialized in the mentioned fields.The institute also is responsible for the Historic house museum Raúl Porras Barrenechea, a building declared a "Historical and Artistic Monument" and "Cultural heritage of Peru" in 1980. The location preserves and permanently exhibits works of art, furniture, paintings, sculptures, photographs, family and personal memories of Porras Barrenechea; the Archivo Porras; and the museum of Peruvian writers. It is located in the Miraflores district and is a neighbor of the historic house museum Ricardo Palma, which allows it to develop fully the purpose for which it was founded, being one of the centers of the cultural activity in the country. The house-museum is also the final and most important point of the Literary Route "Mario Vargas Llosa", one of the winners of the international competition Walking Visionaires Awards organized by Walk21Vienna in 2015.The building of the current institute has been for decades one of the leading intellectual lights of Lima, both during the life and after the death of professor Porras Barrenechea. Among the Peruvian intellectuals who have had a significant connection with the house of Porras Barrenechea are: Mario Vargas Llosa, Pablo Macera, Carlos Araníbar, Luis Jaime Cisneros, Hugo Neira, Jorge Basadre, Raúl Ferrero Rebagliati, Félix Álvarez Brun, Jorge Puccinelli, Carlos Alzamora, Miguel Maticorena, René Hooper, Antonio Garrido Aranda, Emilio Vásquez, Luis Loayza, María Rostworowski, and Waldemar Espinoza.

Miraflores Central Park (Spanish: Parque Central de Miraflores), also known as Miraflores Park (Spanish: Parque de Miraflores), is a public park located in Miraflores, Lima, Peru. It is divided into two parks: John F. Kennedy Park (Spanish: Parque John F. Kennedy) and 7 June Park (Spanish: Parque 7 de Junio). The former gives the entire park complex its popular name, Kennedy Park.The park is known for its large presence of street cats, and is commonly used for events such as book fairs and marathons, as well as Fiestas Patrias celebrations such as the Corso Wong, and political and social protests.

Surquillo District is a district in Lima, Peru. The district is bordered by the districts of San Isidro and San Borja on the north; by Miraflores on the south and west; and by Santiago de Surco on the east. Due to its central position, Surquillo is a very commercially active district, havings several businesses, most of which are hardware and construction material shops. Some car selling companies as well as Corporación Graña y Montero, one of the largest Peruvian consulting companies, are located in the district.Although Surquillo is completely surrounded by upscale districts, it is mostly a lower-middle class district with some working-class neighborhoods. The old town area of Surquillo is known to be dangerous and tourists are discouraged from walking there alone, as it is rife with thieves and gang violence. Nonetheless, some parts of Surquillo's residential area have lower crime rates and a higher standard of living, such as Barrio Medico, Calera de la Merced and Limatambo.Also found Residencial San Pedro (across the park or Morococha "Paul Harris") located in block 13 of jiron San Pedro, which consists of seven parts. Surquillo appears on the map as a general bow tie shape, being the combination of one trapezoidal area and the area of a triangle pointing down, with Tomás Marsano Ave. as their divider. The trapezoidal area is the old-town district, made up of nearly evenly spaced blocks, while the inverted triangle is the new district, made of mostly residential zones with curving streets and uneven spacing between blocks. In 1983, Surquillo lost more than half of its territory, as the district of San Borja was created in the northern part of the district.Regarding gastronomy, in Surquillo there is a dish called "salchichaufa". It consists on the fusion of two other dishes: arroz chaufa (fried rice) and salchipapa (fries and sausages).

The Municipal Palace of Miraflores (Spanish: Palacio Municipal de Miraflores) is the current headquarters of the municipal corporation of the Lima district of Miraflores in Peru. It is located at number 400 Larco Avenue, in front of Miraflores Central Park. It was declared a national monument in 1999.

The Chocavento Tower (Edificio Chocavento) is a high-rise office building located in the San Isidro district of Lima, Peru, built in 2001. At a height of 107 meters, is the third highest building in Peru, surpassed by the "Centro Civico de Lima" (Civic center of Lima) at 109 meters, the "Westin Libertador Hotel" at 120 meters and the "Banco Continental (BBVA) Building" at 132 meters. The Chocavento building has 25 storeys above ground and five below ground. Its construction cost US$15.3 million.

The Tarata bombing, known also as the Miraflores bombing or Lima bombing, was a terrorist attack carried out in Tarata Street, located in Miraflores District of Lima, Peru, on 16 July 1992, by the Shining Path terrorist group. The blast was the deadliest Shining Path bombing during the Internal conflict in Peru and was part of a larger bombing campaign in the city. The explosions happened next to the important Avenida Larco, in the business area of Miraflores, an upscale district of the city. Two trucks, each packed with 1,000 kg of explosives, exploded on the street at 9:15 pm next to the Banco de Crédito del Perú Bank located in Larco Avenue, killing 25 and wounding 155. The blast destroyed or damaged 183 homes, 400 businesses and 63 parked cars. The bombings were the beginning of a week-long Shining Path strike against the Peruvian government, a strike which caused 40 deaths and shut down much of the capital.In the wake of the incident, galvanized by public outrage, President Alberto Fujimori intensified his crackdown on Peruvian insurgent groups, culminating in the capture on September of the same year of Shining Path leader, Abimael Guzmán, itself leading to the beginning of the end of the insurgency for the group and a decrease in terrorist activities, with fewer attacks happening after the capture of Guzmán.
