Los Tomases Chapel is a historic building in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The chapel was built in the 1920s to serve the late-19th-century North Valley neighborhood of Los Tomases, and remained in occasional use in the 1980s. It was listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The chapel is a one-story adobe building in the New Mexico vernacular style. It is approximately rectangular in plan with a polygonal apse. The building has a corrugated metal gable roof with exposed rafters and a three-sided hipped section at the rear. Both the east and west sides have three arched, wood-framed 1-over-1 sash windows, and the front entrance has wooden double doors with a transom.

The C. M. Foraker Farmhouse was a historic house in the Near North Valley neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built near the turn of the 20th century and was purchased around 1900 by C. M. Foraker, the last U.S. Marshal for New Mexico Territory before New Mexico gained statehood in 1912. Foraker's daughter Mary still owned the house at the time of its National Register of Historic Places listing in 1984. It was also listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983.In 2005, the farmhouse was listed as one of the most endangered historic places in New Mexico. It burned down in March, 2008.The house, a notable early example of an "Anglo" style house in the predominantly Hispanic North Valley, was a one-and-a-half-story building of terron (sod brick) and frame construction. The main body of the house was rectangular, with two projecting wings at the rear. One of these wings was original and the other was added in 1926. The house had a tall hip roof with dormers on all four sides and a screened porch with original turned wooden posts. The house also retained original wooden 1-over-1 sash windows and interior trim.

The Menaul Historical Library of the Southwest (MHL or MHLSW) is located in Bennett Hall on the Menaul School campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and functions as a repository for records related to the Presbyterian Church in the Southwest, including churches, schools, and medical missions. The library is named for the Reverend James A. Menaul, who worked in the region. The library is currently preparing to move to a new location in Allison Hall, which is being renovated for that purpose.

Menaul School is an independent sixth through twelfth grade day and boarding school in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a diverse, intellectual, personal, college preparatory education experience. Menaul School is accredited by the State of New Mexico, Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and North Central Association (NCA). The school has strong historical significance in New Mexico, and especially in Albuquerque, where Menaul Blvd. and many other locations have been named for the school.

Albuquerque Indian School (AIS) was a Native American boarding school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which operated from 1881 to 1981. It was one of the oldest and largest off-reservation boarding schools in the United States. For most of its history it was run by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Like other government boarding schools, AIS was modeled after the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, using strict military-style discipline to strip students of their native identity and assimilate them into white American culture. The curriculum focused on literacy and vocational skills, with field work components on farms or railroads for boys and as domestic help for girls. In the 1930s, as the philosophy around Indian education changed, the school shifted away from the military approach and offered more training in traditional crafts like pottery, weaving, and silversmithing.In 1977, administration of the school was taken over by the All Indian Pueblo Council, a coalition of the 20 Pueblos in New Mexico and Texas. By this point the campus was in disrepair and it closed soon afterward. Most of the abandoned school buildings burned down and were razed between 1981 and 1993. As of 2022 the sole remaining building is the Employees' New Dormitory and Club.

Native American Community Academy (NACA) is a charter K-12 school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It opened in 2006. Originally it was a grade 6-12 school, with grades 6-10 taking classes at temporary buildings on the grounds of Wilson Middle School, and with grades 11-12 attending classes at University of New Mexico School of Law. All school buses to went Wilson, with grade 11-12 students transported to/from Wilson to the UNM Law building.In 2013 all grades moved to Building 232 of the former Albuquerque Indian School, also known as the Employees' New Dormitory and Club, which was the only remaining building of the AIS campus. The prospective enrollment was 380. The school had plans to get elementary grades later. The school preserved the exterior of its current campus.On July 21, 2014, NACA started a Native American-oriented charter school network, with its first campus being Dream Diné Charter School in Shiprock, New Mexico.

The Employees' New Dormitory and Club, also known as Building 232, is a historic building in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Built in 1931, it is notable as the only surviving building of the Albuquerque Indian School, which operated at this location from 1882 to 1976. It was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1981 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Santa Fe 2926 is a former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF) class 2900 4-8-4 type steam locomotive, built by Baldwin in 1944. It was used to pull passenger and fast freight trains, mostly throughout New Mexico until it was retired from revenue service in 1956. It was subsequently donated to a park in Albuquerque for static display. In 1999, it was purchased by the New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society to be rebuilt for operational purposes. After over twenty years of work, the restoration was finally completed, and No. 2926 was steamed up again on July 24, 2021. It will eventually be used in mainline excursion service between Albuquerque and Las Vegas, New Mexico.

The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, located in Albuquerque, is owned and operated by the 19 Indian Pueblos of New Mexico and dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of Pueblo Indian Culture, History and Art. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is a non-profit that opened in August, 1976, to showcase the history and accomplishments of the Pueblo people, from Pre-Columbian to current time.

Martineztown-Santa Barbara is a neighborhood in central Albuquerque, New Mexico, immediately northeast of Downtown. Originating as a small farming village in the 1850s, it is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods and retains a distinct character, with winding streets, irregular lots, and adobe vernacular buildings reminiscent of other old Hispanic communities in northern New Mexico.

The Santa Barbara School is a historic school building in the Martineztown-Santa Barbara neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Built in phases between 1908 and 1930, it is one of the city's oldest surviving school buildings and is notable for its association with Atanasio Montoya, a noted educator who reformed and modernized the Bernalillo County school system in the early 20th century. The school was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Camino Nuevo Correctional Center was a women's low-security pre-release prison for incarcerated New Mexico female felons. It was located on the grounds of the New Mexico Youth Diagnostic and Development Center, which houses the most violent youth incarcerated in the New Mexico Corrections Department, which is administered by the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD). Camino Nuevo was administered by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) for the New Mexico Corrections Department. It opened in July 2006 (2006-07), and closed at the end of April 2008 (2008-04) because of dwindling inmate populations.In February 2012 three former inmates of Camino Nuevo were awarded more than $3 million in damages by a federal jury, related to accusations of rape and negligent supervision on the part of CCA.
