Knocklofty House is a large Georgian country house that is situated near Clonmel in County Tipperary, Ireland. It previously operated as a hotel.

Marlfield House was the former residence of the Bagwells, a wealthy and politically influential Irish Unionist family in south Tipperary from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries. It is located about three kilometres west of the town of Clonmel on the northern bank of the River Suir. It was built by John Bagwell in 1785. The main entrance gate, considered of exceptional quality, was designed by the local architect William Tinsley and the conservatory by Richard Turner. In January 1923, the main house was badly damaged in an arson attack by anti-Treaty IRA forces during the Irish Civil War. The fire destroyed the library and historical papers of historian Richard Bagwell. It was targeted because of Bagwell's son John Philip Bagwell was a Senator in the new Irish Free State. Following that conflict it was rebuilt and remained in Bagwell hands until the 1970s when it and the surrounding park and estate lands were sold. The first and second floors have since been converted into twelve apartments.

Marlfield (Gaeilge:Gort an Mharla) is a village three kilometres west of Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is within the townlands of Marlfield and Inishlounaght. It replaced an older settlement named Abbey, which had developed near the 12th century Cistercian community of Inislounaght Abbey.

Inislounaght Abbey (Irish: Mainistir Inis Leamhnachta - "monastery on the island of fresh milk"), also referred to as Innislounaght, Inislounacht and De Surio, was a 12th-century Cistercian settlement on the river Suir, near Clonmel in County Tipperary, Ireland. It was originally dedicated to the Blessed Virgin.

The Tar (Irish: An Teara) is a river in County Tipperary, Ireland. It joins the Suir between the towns of Ardfinnan and Newcastle. The Tar's tributaries include the River Duag which joins it shortly after they both flow through Clogheen. The Tar was an important source of power to drive grain processing mills up to the 19th century.

Ballymacarbry or Ballymacarberry (Irish: Baile Mhac Cairbre, meaning 'homestead of Cairbre's son') is a village in County Waterford, Ireland with an approximate population of 140 people. It is situated on the R671 regional road, approximately 17 km from Clonmel and 24 km from Dungarvan. The local Gaelic games club is The Nire–Fourmilewater. Ballymacarbry is in the civil parish of Kilronan and in the historical barony of Glenahiry.

Presentation Secondary School, Clonmel is a secondary school established by the Presentation Sisters for the education of girls in Clonmel, County Tipperary in Ireland. Construction of the school started in 1865, and it was completed the following year. The site currently includes the accommodation building of a former boarding school built in 1937, "with the main object of fostering vocations". It has operated under the trusteeship of CEIST (Catholic Education an Irish Schools Trust) since 2007. As of 2024, the school had an enrollment of over 470 students.

The Nire—Fourmilewater GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballymacarbry, County Waterford in Ireland. The Nire (An Uidhir) and Fourmilewater (Caislean Cuanach) are two separate clubs, with separate committees pulling from the same pool of players. The Nire is the Gaelic football club in the area and Fourmilewater the hurling club. Both teams play in the Mill Field, Ballymacarbry. The Nire is a half parish with Touraneena, while Fourmilewater is a half parish with Newcastle, County Tipperary. The Nire play in yellow and blue, while Fourmilewater play in blue and white. The related Ballymacarby Ladies' Gaelic football club has won 10 All-Ireland Ladies' Club Football Championship titles.
