Ballymacarbry

The Nire—Fourmilewater GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballymacarbry, County Waterford in Ireland. The Nire (An Uidhir) and Fourmilewater (Caislean Cuanach) are two separate clubs, with separate committees pulling from the same pool of players. The Nire is the Gaelic football club in the area and Fourmilewater the hurling club. Both teams play in the Mill Field, Ballymacarbry. The Nire is a half parish with Touraneena, while Fourmilewater is a half parish with Newcastle, County Tipperary. The Nire play in yellow and blue, while Fourmilewater play in blue and white. The related Ballymacarby Ladies' Gaelic football club has won 10 All-Ireland Ladies' Club Football Championship titles.

Kilmanahan (Irish: Cill Mhainchín) is a townland in the historical barony of Glenahiry in County Waterford, Ireland. The townland, which has an area of approximately 2.75 square kilometres (1.06 sq mi), had a population of 40 people as of the 2011 census. A church, traditionally associated with Saint Mainchin and which gives the area its name, was formerly located in the townland. The nearby Kilmanahan Castle, a Georgian manor house incorporating the structure of an earlier tower house, is sometimes associated with the Greene family.

Tooraneena or Touraneena (Irish: Tuar an Fhíona) is a village in west County Waterford, Ireland. It lies in the Sliabh gCua district between the Comeraghs and Knockmealdown Mountains. It may be accessed from the main R672 road between Clonmel and Dungarvan. It is about 20 km (12 mi) from Dungarvan and 19 km (12 mi) from Clonmel.

Marlfield House was the former residence of the Bagwells, a wealthy and politically influential Irish Unionist family in south Tipperary from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries. It is located about three kilometres west of the town of Clonmel on the northern bank of the River Suir. It was built by John Bagwell in 1785. The main entrance gate, considered of exceptional quality, was designed by the local architect William Tinsley and the conservatory by Richard Turner. In January 1923, the main house was badly damaged in an arson attack by anti-Treaty IRA forces during the Irish Civil War. The fire destroyed the library and historical papers of historian Richard Bagwell. It was targeted because of Bagwell's son John Philip Bagwell was a Senator in the new Irish Free State. Following that conflict it was rebuilt and remained in Bagwell hands until the 1970s when it and the surrounding park and estate lands were sold. The first and second floors have since been converted into twelve apartments.

Presentation Secondary School, Clonmel is a secondary school established by the Presentation Sisters for the education of girls in Clonmel, County Tipperary in Ireland. Construction of the school started in 1865, and it was completed the following year. The site currently includes the accommodation building of a former boarding school built in 1937, "with the main object of fostering vocations". It has operated under the trusteeship of CEIST (Catholic Education an Irish Schools Trust) since 2007. As of 2024, the school had an enrollment of over 470 students.

Inislounaght Abbey (Irish: Mainistir Inis Leamhnachta - "monastery on the island of fresh milk"), also referred to as Innislounaght, Inislounacht and De Surio, was a 12th-century Cistercian settlement on the river Suir, near Clonmel in County Tipperary, Ireland. It was originally dedicated to the Blessed Virgin.

Marlfield (Gaeilge:Gort an Mharla) is a village three kilometres west of Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is within the townlands of Marlfield and Inishlounaght. It replaced an older settlement named Abbey, which had developed near the 12th century Cistercian community of Inislounaght Abbey.

Clonmel GAA Ground, also called Clonmel Sportsground, is a GAA stadium located in the town of Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is the home ground of St. Mary's hurling team and Gaelic football team Clonmel Commercials. It is also occasionally used by the Tipperary county football team and has hosted games in the Munster Senior Football Championship, McGrath Cup and National Football League. Declan Ryan's first game in charge of the Tipperary hurlers took place in Clonmel in January 2011 in the Waterford Crystal Cup against WIT where Tipperary were defeated by a scoreline of 2–17 to 1–19.

St. Luke's Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Naomh Lúcás) was a psychiatric hospital in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland.

The siege of Clonmel, from 27 April to 18 May 1650, took place during the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland, when Clonmel in County Tipperary was besieged by 8,000 men from the New Model Army under Oliver Cromwell. The garrison of 1,500 commanded by Hugh Dubh O'Neill eventually surrendered after inflicting heavy casualties on the besiegers. O'Neill escaped with some of his troops, but although the Irish Confederate Wars continued until 1653, Clonmel ended effective Royalist resistance in Ireland, and Cromwell returned to England immediately afterwards.

Clonmel (Irish: Cluain Meala, meaning 'honey meadow') is the county town and largest settlement of County Tipperary, Ireland. The town is noted in Irish history for its resistance to the Cromwellian army which sacked the towns of Drogheda and Wexford. With the exception of the townland of Suir Island, most of the borough is situated in the civil parish of "St Mary's" which is part of the ancient barony of Iffa and Offa East.

St Mary's GAA is a senior Gaelic Athletic Association hurling and camogie club. The club is located in the town of Clonmel, County Tipperary in Ireland. It is part of the South Division of Tipperary GAA.
