Gwacheon National Science Museum is a national museum in Gwacheon, South Korea. It opened in 2008.

Gwacheon (Korean pronunciation: [kwa̠.tsʰʌ̹n]) is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It lies close to Seoul in the heart of the Seoul National Capital Area, and also lies just east of Anyang. Seoul Subway Line 4 passes through the city. Various attractions usually associated with Seoul, including Seoul Grand Park, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul Land, Gwacheon National Science Museum, and Seoul Race Park are actually located in Gwacheon or its immediate jurisdiction. It is also home to a major administrative center of the Korean government.

Seoul Racecourse Park Station is a station on Line 4 of the Seoul Subway. Its current name was given in 2000, before that it was called Gyeongmajang-yeok (경마장역, 競馬場驛). True to its name, it is located near LetsRun Park Seoul, a horse racing venue. It attracts large volumes of people, particularly on weekends when thousands of Seoulites flock to the races to bet on their favorite horses. This is apparent in the significant difference between the weekday and weekend passenger usage of this station. The Golf Recreation Park is also accessible via Seoul Racecourse Park Station.

Korea Racing Authority (Korean: 한국마사회; Hanja: 韓國馬事會, KRA) is a public company established to manage the racehorse breeding industry in South Korea. It was founded in 1922 as the Chosun Horse Racing Club (Korean: 조선경마구락부), and was later renamed.

Gwacheon Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 4. Despite its name, it is not the principal train station serving the city of Gwacheon; the next station on Line 4 is.

Seoul Grand Park is a park complex to the south of Seoul, South Korea, in the city of Gwacheon (과천시). Facilities at Seoul Grand Park include hills and hiking trails, Seoul Grand Park Zoo, Children's Zoo, a rose garden, Seoul Land amusement park, and the Seoul Museum of Modern Art. The attractions all have separate admission fees. Line 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway stops at Seoul Grand Park Station. A shuttle bus from the station visits the art museum and upper park entrance. This zoological garden has lions, rhinoceros, Siberian tigers, llamas and even macaws and parrots.

The Korea Racing Authority Equine Museum (Korean: 말박물관) is a horse museum in Gwacheon, South Korea. Established on September 13, 1988, to complement Equestrian at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, it has over 50,000 visitors annually in a variety of audiences, ranging from the elderly to children. It has roughly 1,500 exhibits in 123 square meters of showroom space. In 2008, a special exhibition was held running over 100 years of horse racing, and in 2009 hosted modern artwork, including painting, sculpture, ceramics and photographs related to horses.

Seoul Land (Korean: 서울랜드) is an amusement park opened in 1987, in Gwacheon, a city in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea. It is located in the Seoul Grand Park complex. It opened just before the 1988 Summer Olympics. It has about 40 rides, including roller coasters and movie theaters. Seasonal festivals are held in the park. It is smaller than Everland, but closer to Seoul, about one hour away from downtown. Approximately 3–3.5 million people visit the park each a year. Roughly a third of its 300,000 m2 is green space, the rest being packed with attractions.

LetsRun Park Seoul, also known a Seoul Race Park or Seoul Racecourse Park is a 40,000 capacity Korean thoroughbred racetrack in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is host to many of Korea's most valuable thoroughbred horse races including the Korean Derby and Grand Prix. LetsRun Park Seoul is located next to Seoul Racecourse Park Station on Line 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It is operated by the Korea Racing Authority (KRA). In the Republic of Korea, the racecourse has been misleading with the negative image of gambling and speculative facilities and has been distorted into a socially problematic place. It's called 'Park'. The name of the station was changed in 2000.

Seonbawi Station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 4 in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do. Most of its passengers use the station as a transfer point between various buses and Line 4. Besides a few bus stops, there really is not much else in the vicinity of this station.

The Seonbawi Museum of Art (선바위미술관) is an art museum in Gwacheon, South Korea.

Gwacheon Foreign Language High school (Hangeul: 과천외국어고등학교, 과천외고) is an Independent High School located in Gyeong-gi province, Gwacheon-si, South Korea. The school was established on 5 May 1990 and It is the first Foreign Language High School established in Gyeonggi-do. Gwacheon Foreign Language High school is a special high school in South Korea. Students in this school would be able to learn foreign languages in more details compared to students in ordinary high school. 'Kwacheon Foreign Language High School' is an old name which was used before the revision of Korean romanization.
