St. Finbarr's South Church

South Parish is the name given to both a Roman Catholic parish of Cork City and to the residential area contained in it.

The Red Abbey in Cork, Ireland was a 14th-century Augustinian abbey which took its name from the reddish sandstone used in construction. Today all that remains of the structure is the central bell tower of the abbey church, which is one of the last remaining visible structures dating to the medieval walled town of Cork.

Holy Trinity Church, also known as Father Mathew Memorial Church, is a Roman Catholic Gothic Revival church and friary on Fr. Mathew Quay, on the bank of the River Lee in Cork. It belongs to the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin and is the only church dedicated to Father Theobald Mathew.The building's listing in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage describes it as a "Regency Gothic-style church with Gothic-Revival portico", and it is "one of the first large churches in the south of Ireland to be built in this style." Construction of the church began in the early 1830s but stalled shortly before the Great Famine. It would only be completed in 1890, in time for the centenary of the birth of Fr. Mathew. The church features several noteworthy stained glass windows, including three by Harry Clarke's studio and a large memorial to Daniel O'Connell.

Cork College of Commerce is a college that was established in December 1908 in Cork, Ireland. It was originally named the "School of Commerce and Domestic Science".

South Mall (Irish: An Meall Theas) is one of the main streets of Cork city, Ireland. It runs from Grand Parade in the west to Parnell Place in the east. Like Grand Parade and St. Patrick's Street, it is built over what was once a channel of the River Lee.

Griffith College Cork runs degree and diploma programmes in Business, Law, Computing, Media & Journalism, Pharmaceutical Management, and Professional Accountancy as well as evening courses in Marketing Management, Business Management, Human Resource Management and Digital Marketing. Pharmaceutical Management is an MSc in International Pharmaceutical Business Management (QQI - Level 9). It will be offered on a full and part-time basis. All the undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses are validated by QQI and a number of them require application via the Irish CAO system. Full-time undergraduate QQI level 6, 7 & 8 courses were also validated to receive tax relief under the Irish Governments 1997 Act.In August 2009 Griffith College Cork moved from its Patrick's Hill buildings to a new location on Cove Street, Sullivan's Quay, Cork, Co. Cork. In 2014 the college moved to its new, permanent location occupying the former Marymount Hospice on Wellington Road, overlooking the city.

RTÉ Radio Cork, also known as RTÉ Cork Local Radio and Cork 89FM, was a local radio station in the Republic of Ireland serving Cork City. The FM signal spilled into Ballincollig and Carrigaline, but the rest of County Cork had to rely on the medium wave signal. It was shut down in 2000.

Cork General Post Office (GPO) is a historic post office building in Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork, Ireland. Built on the site of an older theatre, it is one of the few An Post offices in Ireland which still retains the General Post Office moniker from the times when the Irish postal service was under the governance of the British General Post Office. The post office is one of Oliver Plunkett Street's most prominent buildings, and is listed as a protected structure.

Oliver Plunkett Street (Irish: Sráid Olibhéir Pluincéid) is a shopping street in Cork, Ireland. It was originally laid-out in the early 18th century as the city expanded eastwards beyond the original city walls.

St Patrick's Street (Irish: Sráid Naomh Pádraig) is the main shopping street of the city of Cork in the south of Ireland. The street was subject to redevelopment in 2004, and has since won two awards as Ireland's best shopping street. St Patrick's Street is colloquially known to some locals as "Pana".
