Mikhanavichy (village)

Mikhanavichy (Belarusian: Міханавічы, romanized: Michanavičy; Russian: Михановичи, romanized: Mikhanovichi) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Mikhanavichy rural council. It is located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south of the capital Minsk. In 2023, it had a population of 11,351.

Hatava (Belarusian: Гатава; Russian: Гатово, romanized: Gatovo) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is administratively part of Navadvorski selsaviet. It is located five kilometres (3.1 mi) south of the capital Minsk. In 2012, it had a population of 7,262.

Novy Dvor (Belarusian: Новы Двор; Russian: Новый Двор) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Novy Dvor selsoviet. It is located three kilometres (1.9 mi) from the Minsk Ring Road, southeast of the capital Minsk. In 1997, it had a population of 1,164. In 2010, it had a population of 1,128.

Minsk region, also known as Minsk oblast or Minsk voblasts, is one of the six regions of Belarus. Its administrative center is Minsk, although it is a separate administrative territorial entity of Belarus. The region's population was recorded at 1,411,500 in 2011.

Maly Trostenets (Maly Trascianiec, Belarusian: Малы Трасцянец, "Little Trostenets") is a village near Minsk in Belarus, formerly the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. During Nazi Germany's occupation of the area during World War II (when the Germans referred to it as Reichskommissariat Ostland), the village became the location of a Nazi extermination site.Throughout 1942, Jews from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were taken by train to Maly Trostinets to be lined up in front of the pits and were shot. From the summer of 1942, mobile gas vans were also used. According to Yad Vashem, the Jews of Minsk were murdered and buried in Maly Trostinets and in another village, Bolshoi Trostinets, between 28 and 31 July 1942 and on 21 October 1943. As the Red Army approached the area in June 1944, the Germans murdered most of the prisoners and destroyed the camp.The estimates of how many people were murdered at Maly Trostinets vary. According to Yad Vashem, 65,000 Jews were murdered in one of the nearby pine forests, mostly by shooting. Holocaust historian Stephan Lehnstaedt believes the number is higher, writing that at least 106,000 Jews were murdered at the location. Researchers from the Soviet Union estimated there had been around 200,000 murders at the camp and nearby execution sites. Lehnstaedt writes that the estimates include the Jews of the Minsk Ghetto, who numbered 39,000 to almost 100,000.

Mahilyowskaya (Belarusian: Магілёўская; Russian: Могилёвская) is a Minsk Metro station. It was opened on 5 September 2001.

Čyžoŭka (Belarusian: Чыжоўка, Russian: Чижовка) is a microdistrict in south-east Minsk between Čyžoŭskaje Reservoir and Minsk Automobile Ring Road. It is part of Zavodski District. Minsk Zoo is located in the northern part of Čyžoŭka. Nearest metro stations: Aŭtazavodskaja, Mahilioŭskaja.

Luhavaya Slabada (Belarusian: Лугавая Слабада; Russian: Луговая Слобода, romanized: Lugovaya Sloboda) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Luhavaya Slabada rural council. It is located 22 kilometres (14 mi) southeast of the capital Minsk and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Mikhanavichy. In 1999, it had a population of 1,238. In 2010, it had a population of 1,436.

Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) (Belarusian: Адкрытaе Акцыянэрнaе Таварыства «Мінскі аўтамабільны завод», Open JSC Minski Autamabilny Zavod, Russian: Минский автомобильный завод Minskyi Avtomobilnyi Zavod) is a state-run automotive manufacturer association in Belarus, one of the largest in Eastern Europe.

Minsk Innovation University (Belarusian: Мінскі інавацыйны ўніверсітэт) was established in 1991. The university is situated in Minsk, Belarus. The founder of the institute is Nikolay Susha, a permanent rector of the university. During its existence the university has created conditions for the preparation of specialists in economics, law, psychology, foreign languages and information technology. The university has four faculties and offers a number of programs for students, master's degree students, PhD and grand PhD students. All training in the university is conducted on a fee basis.

Minsk Zoo (Russian: Минский зоопарк, romanized: Minskij zoopark) is located in a southeast part of Minsk near Svislach River.

Chizhovka-Arena (or Čyžoŭka-Arena, Belarusian: Чыжоўка-Арэна; Russian: Чижовка-Арена) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Čyžoŭka microdistrict of Minsk, Belarus. Its full name is "Шматфункцыянальны культурна-спартыўны і забаўляльны комплекс «Чыжоўка-Арэна»". Opened in December 2013, it is mostly used for concerts, ice hockey and other indoor sporting activities. The main arena has a capacity of 8,807 people and the training arena has 473 seats. The project of Chizhovka-Arena was changed several times. The final project was approved in 2010.
