Uzlyany or Vuzlyany (Belarusian: Узляны, Вузляны; Russian: Узляны, romanized: Uzlyany) is a village in Pukhavichy District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is part of Pyarezhyr selsoviet. Until 2013, it served as the administrative center of Uzlyany selsoviet. It was formerly a shtetl with a large Jewish population.

Mikhanavichy (Belarusian: Міханавічы, romanized: Michanavičy; Russian: Михановичи, romanized: Mikhanovichi) is a village in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is administratively part of Mikhanavichy selsoviet. It is located 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) south of the capital Minsk and three kilometres (1.9 mi) away from the agrotown of Mikhanavichy. In 2010, it had a population of 331.

Luhavaya Slabada (Belarusian: Лугавая Слабада; Russian: Луговая Слобода, romanized: Lugovaya Sloboda) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Luhavaya Slabada rural council. It is located 22 kilometres (14 mi) southeast of the capital Minsk and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Mikhanavichy. In 1999, it had a population of 1,238. In 2010, it had a population of 1,436.

Hatava (Belarusian: Гатава; Russian: Гатово, romanized: Gatovo) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is administratively part of Navadvorski selsaviet. It is located five kilometres (3.1 mi) south of the capital Minsk. In 2012, it had a population of 7,262.

Novy Dvor (Belarusian: Новы Двор; Russian: Новый Двор) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Novy Dvor selsoviet. It is located three kilometres (1.9 mi) from the Minsk Ring Road, southeast of the capital Minsk. In 1997, it had a population of 1,164. In 2010, it had a population of 1,128.

Machulishchy (Belarusian: Мачулішчы, romanized: Mačuliščy; Russian: Мачулищи, romanized: Machulishchi; Polish: Moczuliszcze) is an urban-type settlement in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. In 2010, it had a population of 7,300. As of 2023, it has a population of 10,474.

Zamastochcha (Belarusian: Замасточча, romanized: Zamastočča; Russian: Замосточье, romanized: Zamostochye) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is administratively part of Luhavaya Slabada selsoviet. It is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of the capital Minsk. In 1997, it had a population of 1,953.

Churylavichy (Belarusian: Чурылавічы, romanized: Čurylavičy; Russian: Чуриловичи, romanized: Churilovichi) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is administratively part of Mikhanavichy selsoviet. It is located nine kilometres (5.6 mi) south of the capital Minsk. In 2010, it had a population of 873.

Maly Trostenets (Maly Trascianiec, Belarusian: Малы Трасцянец, "Little Trostenets") is a village near Minsk in Belarus, formerly the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. During Nazi Germany's occupation of the area during World War II (when the Germans referred to it as Reichskommissariat Ostland), the village became the location of a Nazi extermination site.Throughout 1942, Jews from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were taken by train to Maly Trostinets to be lined up in front of the pits and were shot. From the summer of 1942, mobile gas vans were also used. According to Yad Vashem, the Jews of Minsk were murdered and buried in Maly Trostinets and in another village, Bolshoi Trostinets, between 28 and 31 July 1942 and on 21 October 1943. As the Red Army approached the area in June 1944, the Germans murdered most of the prisoners and destroyed the camp.The estimates of how many people were murdered at Maly Trostinets vary. According to Yad Vashem, 65,000 Jews were murdered in one of the nearby pine forests, mostly by shooting. Holocaust historian Stephan Lehnstaedt believes the number is higher, writing that at least 106,000 Jews were murdered at the location. Researchers from the Soviet Union estimated there had been around 200,000 murders at the camp and nearby execution sites. Lehnstaedt writes that the estimates include the Jews of the Minsk Ghetto, who numbered 39,000 to almost 100,000.

Machulishchy is an air base of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus located in Machulishchy, Minsk Region, Belarus. It is home to the 50th Composite Air Base, flying Antonov An-26s, Ilyushin Il-76MD's, Mil Mi-8s and Mil Mi-24s.It has served as a strategic bomber base for the Soviet Union. It also served as a Soviet Air Defence Forces interceptor base.The primary operator was the 121st Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment. Machulishchy was one of nine major operating locations for the Tupolev Tu-22 Blinder in the mid-1960s. In August 1960, six Tu-22 aircraft from Machulishchy deployed to Olenya air base in the arctic region under naval control, indicating the regiment had a dual Navy-Air Force mission serving an anti-surface warfare role. This capability covered the Baltic Sea with deployment capability into the Barents Sea region. Later in the 1970s, an interceptor regiment at Machulishchy operated Sukhoi Su-9 Fishpot interceptors, upgraded in 1979 to MiG-23P aircraft. At the time, the airfield was still host to the Tu-22 Blinder ASM regiment. On 26 February 2023, two explosions were reported at the base. Russian aircraft and equipment were damaged. Russian A-50 aircraft may have been targeted. The explosions were a result of sabotage from Belarusian partisans.

The Machulishchy air base attack occurred on February 26, 2023, at the Machulishchy military airfield, around 12 km (7.5 mi) from Minsk, a Russian A-50 early warning military aircraft was damaged as a result of explosions. BYPOL claimed responsibility for the drone attack. Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko acknowledged the attack only a week later, stating that the damage to the aircraft was minor. Later, he admitted that the A-50 still had to be sent to Russia for repairs.
