Barrington Plaza is an apartment complex in Los Angeles, California, located at 11740 Wilshire Boulevard in the Sawtelle community of Los Angeles, California . At the time of its completion, in 1962, it was described as the largest privately built apartment development in the western United States.

University High School Charter, commonly known as "Uni", is a public secondary school, built 1923–1924, and founded 1924, located in West Los Angeles, a district in Los Angeles, California, near the border with Santa Monica. University High is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The campus also holds Indian Springs Continuation High School. The school contains the Serra Springs, a sacred site of the Tongva–Gabrieleño native people and a registered California Historical Landmark.

The historic Wadsworth Theatre is a live theatre in the Sawtelle community of West Los Angeles, in Los Angeles, California. It is located on the historic Sawtelle Veterans Home campus, the present day 388-acre (1,570,000 m2) West Los Angeles Department of Veterans Affairs complex. It is off Wilshire Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard, on the east side of Brentwood.

The Sawtelle Streetcar Depot is located on the grounds of the Sawtelle Veterans Home in Sawtelle, in the Westside area of Los Angeles, California. The depot was designed by J. Lee Burton in 1900, in conjunction with the nearby Wadsworth Chapel also on the Veterans Home campus. Both were listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Wadsworth Chapel, also known as the Catholic-Protestant Chapels, is actually two separate chapels under one roof on the campus of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California. The structure was built in 1900 and was closed in 1971 after being damaged in the 1971 Sylmar earthquake. It is the oldest building on Wilshire Boulevard and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The structure has fallen into a state of disrepair due to the lack of funds within the Dept. of Veterans Affairs to pay for the required repairs and renovation.

The West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center is among a network of housing, shelter, utilities, food preparation facilities and a hospital mandated to permanently serve disabled Veterans at the West Los Angeles VA Soldiers Home. The approximately 400 remaining acres of the Soldiers Home is located adjacent to the West Los Angeles, Westwood and Brentwood neighborhoods of Los Angeles, has its own ZIP Code and accounts for most of the over $1,100,000,000 Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System's annual federal budget. The West Los Angeles VA Soldiers Home is the first U.S. Government facility for homeless Veterans and the only one it permanently maintains in Public Trust to house them.

The Barry Building is a landmark commercial mid-twentieth century modern building located at 11973 San Vicente Boulevard in the heart of the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was designed by architect Milton Caughey (1911-1958) and completed in 1951. In 2007, the building was listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument,(Historical Cultural Monument #887), making it one of the few mid-century modern commercial buildings to gain such status. It was identified by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission as being a well-preserved and notable example of the California-style modern design. Despite this designation, the building's current owners received permission to demolish the building in 2019. As of March 2021, the building has not yet been demolished, however it is currently boarded up and vacant. The building's best-known feature is an unusual open courtyard which once housed Dutton's bookstore. The building may soon be demolished as a part of the proposed Green Hollow Square development.

Westwood/VA Hospital Station is a planned heavy-rail subway station on the D Line (Purple) of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. The station will be located underground between Bonsall Avenue and the I-405 freeway, south of Wilshire Blvd. The main station entrance will be located south of Wilshire Blvd, next to Bonsall Avenue, directly serving the VA Medical Center. Another entrance will be located north of Wilshire Blvd.The station is currently in the under construction phase 3 of the Purple Line Extension project, with contractors hired in 2019. The station is slated to open along with Westwood/UCLA station in 2027.

The Sawtelle Veterans Home was a care home for disabled American veterans in what is today part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area (see Sawtelle, Los Angeles) in California in the United States. The Home, formally the Pacific Branch of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, was established in 1887 on 300 acres (1.2 km2) of Rancho San Vicente y Santa Monica lands donated by Senator John P. Jones and Arcadia B. de Baker. The following year, the site grew by an additional 200 acres (0.81 km2); in 1890, 20 acres (0.081 km2) more were appended for use as a veterans' cemetery. With more than 1,000 veterans in residence, a new hospital was erected in 1900. This hospital was replaced in 1927 by the James W. Wadsworth Hospital, now known as the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.
