New Hyde Park station

New Hyde Park is a village in the Towns of Hempstead and North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. It is the anchor community of the Greater New Hyde Park area. The population was 9,712 at the 2010 census.

The Stewart Manor station is one of five stations of the Long Island Rail Road that serve the village of Garden City, New York. It is located just south of Stewart Avenue, to the west of New Hyde Park Road. Contrary to its name, the station is not within the limits of the village of Stewart Manor. The village is just a few blocks to the west. There is ample permit parking available at the station.

The Denton House is a historic building in New Hyde Park, New York, within the Town of North Hempstead. Built in 1795 as a farmhouse, it was converted in the 1860s to a Georgian-style mansion. It is currently a McDonald's restaurant.

As of the 2016–2017 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,756 students and 119.47 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 14.7:1. There were 307 students (17.48% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 45 (2.56%) eligible for reduced-cost lunch. In terms of racial ethnicity, 36% were White, 43% were Asian, 16% were Hispanic, and 4% were Black.The school held its 50th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 4, 2006. The principal is currently Dr. Richard J. Faccio. The school mascot is the Gladiator, and its colors are blue and white.

Its name translates to "Island of Shells" in English. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,669 students and 119.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.0:1. There were 675 students (40.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 118 (7.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

North New Hyde Park is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 14,899 at the 2010 census. Portions of the area are also known as Floral Park Centre and Lakeville Estates.

Hillside Manor is an unincorporated hamlet in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States, within the census-designated place (CDP) of Garden City Park. Although presently considered part of the Garden City Park CDP, the name continues to be widely-used and accepted both socially and politically – most notably by the Hillside Manor Post Office.
