Balıklı (Greek: Μπαλουκλί, pr. "Baluklí") is a quarter in Istanbul, Turkey. It belongs to the Zeytinburnu district, and is part of the Kazlıçeşme neighborhood. It is located along the Marmara Sea, and borders Istanbul's walled city on the east, between the gates of Yedikule and Silivri. Before the rapid increase of Istanbul's population in the 1970s, Balıklı was a rural quarter. The name of the quarter (balikli in Turkish means "with fish", "place where there are fishes") comes from the fishes present in the fountain of holy water (Greek: ἁγίασμα, hagiasma, whence Turkish: ayazma) situated now in the complex of the Church of St. Mary of the Spring, an important Eastern Orthodox sanctuary. In the Byzantine Period it was known as Pege (Greek: Πηγή, meaning "Spring") per antonomasia, always because of the same source. The quarter is characterized by the presence of several Muslim, Eastern Orthodox and Armenian cemeteries, which until now give to it a country-like character. About one kilometer south of the church of St. Mary an important Greek hospital, the Balikli Rum Hastanesi Vakf (“Balikli Greek Hospital Foundation”) and an Armenian Hospital, the Surp Pırgiç Ermeni Hastanesi are active.

The Monastery of the mother of God at the Spring (full name in Greek: Μονὴ τῆς Θεοτόκου τῆς Πηγῆς, pr. Moni tis Theotóku tis Pigis; Turkish name: Balıklı Meryem Ana Rum Manastiri) or simply Zoödochos Pege (Greek: Ζωοδόχος Πηγή, "Life-giving Spring") is an Eastern Orthodox sanctuary in Istanbul, Turkey. The present church, built in 1835, bears the same dedication as the shrine erected in this place between the end of the fifth and the beginning of the sixth century. After several renovations, this building was destroyed in the first half of the fifteenth century by the Ottomans. The complex got its name from a nearby holy spring, reputed to have healing properties. For almost fifteen hundred years, this sanctuary has been one of the most important pilgrimage sites of Greek Orthodoxy.

Karagümrük is a neighborhood in Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. The neighborhood gives its name to a professional football club Fatih Karagümrük S.K., also called Karagümrükspor, that is based in the Karagümrük neighbourhood since 1926.

The Merkezefendi Cemetery (Turkish: Merkezefendi Mezarlığı) is a burial ground situated in Merkezefendi neighborhood of Zeytinburnu district on the European part of Istanbul, Turkey. The neighborhood and the cemetery are named after Merkez Efendi, an Ottoman Islamic scholar and Sufi (1463–1552). Many renowned intellectuals, writers and artists rest in this old cemetery covering an area of 27,800 m2 (299,000 sq ft).The cemetery was established in the 16th century with the construction of the tomb of Merkez Efendi at this location. It was extended in the 1950s, and another cemetery, the Kozlu Cemetery was established 100 m (330 ft) away. The cemetery was fully renovated in 2007. At the time of the burial of former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan in 2011, a comprehensive maintenance work was carried out at the cemetery.Currently, burials are allowed only for the members of families with existing graves.

Davutpaşa—YTÜ is a rapid transit station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro located in southern Esenler, close to the entrance of Yıldız Technical University (Turkish: Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi) or YTÜ. It was opened on 31 January 1994 as part of the Otogar-Zeytinburnu extension and is one of five stations of this extension.

It was opened in September 2009.The arena consists of an Olympic-size rink of 1,740 m2 (18,700 sq ft) with a seating capacity of 900 people, and another one of 600 m2 (6,500 sq ft) for 200 spectators used as training rink.Covering an area of 8,950 m2 (96,300 sq ft), the construction of the complex cost ₺ 30 million (approx. US$20 million).

Tozkoparan Olympic Swimming Pool (Turkish: Tozkoparan Olimpik Yüzme Havuzu) is an Olympic-size swimming pool in Istanbul, Turkey. The swimming pool is situated in Cevat Açıkalın Cad., Erdemli Sok. 4, at Tozkoparan neighborhood of Güngören district in Istanbul. Owned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, it was opened in 2012. The operator is the Turkish Swimming Federation.The swimming pool with ten lanes is 50 m (160 ft) long and 2.20 m (7.2 ft) deep. The venue has a seating capacity for 1,034 spectators.The swimming pool is part of a sports complex, which has a 500-seat capacity sports hall for basketball, volleyball and table tennis events.

Belgradkapı is a quarter in Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul, Turkey. Name of the neighborhood means Belgrade Gate in Turkish, and was named so after the Ottoman sultan Suleiman the Magnificent conquered Belgrade in 1521, modern capital of Serbia, and resettled its population to several locations in Istanbul, including the present Belgradkapı area.
