Houston Spaceport

The Lone Star Flight Museum, located in Houston, Texas, is an aerospace museum that displays more than 24 historically significant aircraft, and many artifacts related to the history of flight. Located at Ellington Airport, the museum is housed on about 100,000 ft2 (10,000 m2) of property, including its own airport ramp. The museum, formerly located in Galveston, moved to Houston to avoid a repeat of the devastation suffered during Hurricane Ike.

United States Coast Guard Air Station Houston is a United States Coast Guard Air Station located 15 miles (24 km) southeast of downtown Houston, Texas on board the Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base (JRB). Coast Guard Air Station (CGAS) Houston has provided an all-weather 24/7 Search & Rescue (SAR) coverage capability to the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast since 1963.

Grace Church Houston is a non-denominational megachurch located in Houston, Texas. The church currently has three services on Sunday at their main facility: two English-speaking and one Spanish-speaking.

Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base is a joint installation shared by various active component and reserve component military units, as well as aircraft flight operations of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) under the aegis of the nearby Johnson Space Center. The host wing for the installation is the Texas Air National Guard's 147th Attack Wing (147 ATKW). Opened in 1917, Ellington Field was one of thirty-two Air Service training camps established after the United States entry into World War I. It is named for First Lieutenant Eric Ellington, a U.S. Army aviator who was killed in a plane crash in San Diego, California in 1913.

Ellington Airport (IATA: EFD, ICAO: KEFD, FAA LID: EFD) is a public and military use airport in Harris County, Texas, United States. It is owned by the City of Houston's department of aviation, Houston Airport System and located 15 nmi (17 mi; 28 km) southeast of downtown Houston. Formerly known as Ellington Field, then Ellington Air Force Base, then again as Ellington Field it is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation reliever airport. The airport does not have scheduled commercial passenger service. However, Continental Airlines used to operate daily regional services between Ellington and Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport between 1990 and 2004. On 17 October 2018, the City of Houston approved Phase 1 of the Houston Spaceport project on the Ellington Airport site.

The Verne Cox Multipurpose Recreation Center is a recreation center located in Pasadena, Texas. The center provides recreational programs, events, and services for Pasadena's youth and adults with cognitive or physical disabilities. The Verne Cox Center is a division of the Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Pasadena. The 15,000-square-foot (1,400 m2) facility is fully accessible with a gymnasium, weight room, kitchen, two multipurpose activity rooms, bathrooms with showers and lockers, a swimming pool, and two wheelchair accessible softball fields. The facilities serve youths and adults with any type of physical, intellectual, or cognitive disabilities. An annual wheelchair tournament is held at the center for athletes in Pasadena. So too are a number of other sports tournaments for disabled people.

South Belt/Ellington is a neighborhood located around 20 miles southeast of Downtown Houston, Texas.

The Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) is an astronaut training facility and neutral buoyancy pool operated by NASA and located at the Sonny Carter Training Facility, near the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The NBL's main feature is a large indoor pool of water, in which astronauts may perform simulated EVA tasks in preparation for upcoming missions. Trainees wear suits designed to provide neutral buoyancy to simulate the microgravity that astronauts experience during spaceflight.

Pasadena Memorial High School (PMHS) is a secondary school located in Pasadena, Texas. The school serves grades 9 through 12 and is the second largest school in the Pasadena Independent School District. It is sometimes referred simply as "Memorial" or as "PMHS" to differentiate it from nearby Pasadena High School. The current principal is Mike Adams.

Grace Christian Academy (GCA) is a private K–12 Christian school located in Clear Lake City, Houston, Texas. The independent Christian school is located on a 20-acre (81,000 m2) facility, with one building and 106,000 usable square feet, in the Pineloch neighborhood in Clear Lake City. The plot the school is built on is surrounded by outside athletic facilities.

Clear Horizons Early College High School is a public secondary school located in Houston, Texas, United States. In this program, {{citation needed span|an associate degree is completed simultaneously within the student's four years of high school. The program requires all its students to be on either the Distinguished Achievement Plan or the Distinguished Level of Achievement Plan. Students must take the highest level classes offered for each subject (e.g. AP, PreAP, or Dual Credit classes). Dual credit classes are semi-free for the students and therefore the school is known for helping economically disadvantaged students. Acceptance into the school is based on random name drawing of applicants via lottery system based on grades.

Bay Knoll is a neighborhood located within the master-planned community of Clear Lake City in Houston, Texas, USA. The neighborhood was developed in the mid-1980 and borders the neighborhoods of Bay Glen, Bay Pointe, Bay Oaks, Meadowgreen, and Oak Brook West. Bay Knoll, along with Bay Glen, is a member of the Pineloch Community Association.Residents living in Bay Knoll take advantage of all the amenities offered with the master-planned community of Clear Lake City—such as community parks, swimming pools, and tennis courts.
