Dallas Union Station, officially Eddie Bernice Johnson Union Station (or simply EBJ Union Station), also known as Dallas Union Terminal, is a large intermodal railroad station in Dallas, Texas. It is the third busiest Amtrak station in Texas. It serves DART Light Rail, Trinity Railway Express commuter rail, and Amtrak intercity rail. It is located on Houston Street, between Wood and Young Streets, in the Reunion district of Downtown Dallas. The structure is a Dallas Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Belo Corporation was a Dallas-based media company that owned 20 commercial broadcasting television stations and three regional 24-hour cable news television channels. The company was previously known as A. H. Belo Corporation after one of the early owners of the company, Alfred Horatio Belo, now the name of the newspaper company spun off from Belo early in 2008. Belo had its headquarters in the Belo Building in Downtown Dallas, designed by Dallas architects Omniplan and constructed between 1983 and 1985.

WFAA Communications Center Studios are the main studio operations for Tegna, Inc. owned television stations WFAA, an ABC affiliate, and KMPX, an Estrella TV affiliate; located at 606 Young Street in Dallas, Texas. WFAA and Nexstar Media Group-owned CW affiliate KDAF are the only two stations in the Dallas-Fort Worth broadcasting market not owned-and-operated by their respective parent companies. The studio opened in 1961, and housed WFAA-TV, WFAA-AM, and WFAA-FM, later known as KZEW-FM. From 1938 to 1970, WFAA-AM was both an NBC and ABC station which meant that the building housed both the NBC and ABC networks. The station that WFAA shared networks with was WBAP-AM which was housed at Broadcast Hill in Fort Worth. In the early years, WFAA was more known to Dallas and WBAP was more known to Fort Worth. WFAA-TV played a strong part in youthful programs such as Sump'n Else, The Group And Chapman, Peppermint Place, and many others. During the 1960s, WFAA-AM continued to broadcast entertainment, but its ratings were weakened due to Top 40 station KLIF-AM's format. The KLIF Triangle Point Studios are located a few blocks from WFAA in Downtown Dallas. WFAA Studios are a major part of Dallas-Fort Worth broadcasting history. At one time, Downtown Dallas had three different broadcast headquarters, which are WFAA, KRLD, and KLIF. While many national television shows were on tour, they occasionally filmed a few segments at WFAA Studios.

Dealey Plaza is a city park in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas, Texas. It is sometimes called the "birthplace of Dallas". It was also the location of the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963; 30 minutes after the shooting, Kennedy was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital. The Dealey Plaza Historic District was named a National Historic Landmark on the 30th anniversary of the assassination, to preserve Dealey Plaza, street rights-of-way, and buildings and structures by the plaza visible from the assassination site, that have been identified as witness locations or as possible locations for the assassin.

The John Fitzgerald Kennedy Memorial is a monument to United States President John Fitzgerald Kennedy in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA) erected in 1970, and designed by noted architect Philip Johnson.

The Conspiracy Museum was a private exhibition of conspiracy theories in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). R. B. Cutler, self-described as an "assassinologist", opened the museum in 1995. The Conspiracy Museum was located across the street from the Kennedy Memorial in Dallas, Texas in the Katy Building. The museum was not limited in scope to the conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of John F. Kennedy, but it also covered Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, and Ted Kennedy's Chappaquiddick incident. Cutler's argument was that all these conspiracies can be tied together. The museum was often overlooked by visitors heading to the more well-known Sixth Floor Museum. The museum closed on December 30, 2006, having lost its lease. The building's owners announced that a Quiznos sandwich shop would take its place. Tom Bowden, the museum's president, said that the museum would re-locate to another part of the Katy Building or another location entirely and that detailed plans would be released.

The Katy Building is an eight-floor historic building located in Downtown Dallas' West End Historic District at 701 Commerce St. The Katy Building was constructed from 1912-1914 for Dallas businessman Col. John M. Simpson. For over 50 years, the 57,500-square-foot building served as the headquarters for the Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad (MKT), which gave the building its name (Katy, short for KT). The seven story, terra cotta and masonry building was designed by H.A. Overbeck in the Beaux-Arts/Historism style. It featured fire proof construction, office spaces, and a power plant in the basement. Although the MKT occupied most of the building as their headquarters, rental space was available for other businesses as well. While the interior of the building has been extensively renovated over the years, the historic character of the building has been preserved.

Reunion Tower is a 561 ft (171 m) observation tower in Dallas, Texas and one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. Located at 300 Reunion Boulevard in the Reunion district of downtown Dallas, the tower is part of the Hyatt Regency Hotel complex and is the city's 15th tallest building. A free-standing structure until the construction of an addition to the Hyatt Regency Dallas in 1998, the tower was designed by architectural firm of Rochester's Xerox Tower, Welton Becket & Associates.

The West End Historic District of Dallas, Texas, is a historic district that includes a 67.5-acre (27.3 ha) area in northwest downtown (United States), generally north of Commerce, east of I-35E, west of Lamar and south of Woodall Rodgers Freeway. It is south of Victory Park, west of the Arts, City Center, and Main Street districts, and north of the Government and Reunion districts. A portion of the district is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as Westend Historic District. A smaller area is also a Dallas Landmark District. The far western part of the district belongs to the Dealey Plaza Historic District, a National Historic Landmark around structures and memorials associated with the Assassination of John F. Kennedy.

The Omni Dallas Hotel is a 23-story, 1001-room hotel at the Convention Center District in Dallas, Texas. The $500 million hotel is owned by the City of Dallas, managed by Omni Hotels & Resorts and is attached directly to the Dallas Convention Center. Visitdallas is contracted by the City to attract conventions to the Dallas Convention Center and increase tourism to fill rooms at the Omni Dallas Hotel although serious doubts about its effectiveness were raised in January 2019 after the release of an audit.

The Dal-Tex Building is a seven-story office building located at 501 Elm Street in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. The building is located on the northeast corner of Elm and North Houston Streets, across the street from the Texas School Book Depository in Dealey Plaza, the scene of the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The Dal-Tex Building, sometimes called the Dallas-Textiles Building, the Dal-Tex Market Building, or the Dal-Tex Mart Building, was a center of the textile business in Dallas. Designed by architects James P. Hubbell and Herbert Miller Greene as a warehouse for the Kingman Texas Implement Company, the building has been described as one of the "earliest Sullivanesque designs in Texas". The building has also been reported to show the Prairie School's influence on Greene.

The Hyatt Regency Dallas is a 28-story, 1,120-room hotel in Dallas, Texas' Reunion district. The building is connected to Union Station and Reunion Tower, which is the city's landmark observation tower. The Y-shaped building has an atrium on the south side. In 1998, the hotel added a low-rise ballroom with an area of 32,000 square feet (the equivalent of 3,000 square meters). The Hyatt Regency Dallas recently completed a $50-million renovation that features newly redone guestrooms, bathrooms and corridors.
