The Broad Street cholera outbreak (or Golden Square outbreak) was a severe outbreak of cholera that occurred in 1854 near Broad Street (now Broadwick Street) in Soho, London, England, and occurred during the 1846–1860 cholera pandemic happening worldwide. This outbreak, which killed 616 people, is best known for the physician John Snow's study of its causes and his hypothesis that germ-contaminated water was the source of cholera, rather than particles in the air (referred to as "miasma"). This discovery came to influence public health and the construction of improved sanitation facilities beginning in the mid-19th century. Later, the term "focus of infection" started to be used to describe sites, such as the Broad Street pump, in which conditions are favourable for transmission of an infection. Snow's endeavour to find the cause of the transmission of cholera caused him to unknowingly create a double-blind experiment.

Riflemaker is a contemporary art business and exhibition space in London specialising in exhibiting and representing emerging artists. The building is a historic gunmaker's workshop off Regent Street. Built in 1712, it is one of the oldest public buildings in the West End of London. Riflemaker is also a publisher of artists books and host of a variety of events including poetry, music, film events, talks, discussions and performances in the space.

The Sun and 13 Cantons is a Grade II listed public house at 20 Great Pulteney Street, Soho, London W1.The pub, which takes its name from Swiss woollen merchants who used to be based nearby, has operated on this site since at least 1756. During that year it appears in Freemasonry records as a Masonic Lodge meeting place.The present building dates to 1882, and the architect was Henry Cotton.The actor John Hurt lived above the pub at one period.

Broadwick Street (formerly Broad Street) is a street in Soho, City of Westminster, London. It runs for 0.18 miles (0.29 km) approximately west–east between Marshall Street and Wardour Street, crossing Berwick Street. Broad Street was notorious as the centre of an 1854 outbreak of cholera. Physician John Snow traced the outbreak to a public water pump on the street, and disabled the pump. Before this time, the disease was widely thought to be caused by air-borne 'miasma'; Snow's findings showed it to be water-borne. A replica pump, together with an explanatory plaque, was erected close to the original location in 1992. The original pump was at the junction of Broad Street and Cambridge Street (today Lexington Street), close to the back wall of what today is the 'John Snow' pub. The site is subtly marked with a pink granite kerbstone in front of the small wall plaque. A house on the corner of Broadwick and Marshall streets was the birthplace and childhood home of William Blake.The street crosses, or meets, Wardour Street, Duck Lane, Berwick Street, Hopkins Street, Ingestre Place, Poland Street, Lexington Street, Dufours Place, Marshall Street and Carnaby Street. Current businesses on Broadwick Street include Yauatcha, a noted Chinese restaurant.

Absolute Radio is a British National radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Absolute Radio Network. It broadcasts nationally across the UK via Digital audio broadcasting and on 1215 kHz MW.

Absolute Radio 90s is a semi-national digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Absolute Radio Network. Its output is non-stop 1990s hits. The station launched on DAB in London in June 2010 and on the Digital One platform on 25 August 2010 and was initially available for one month as a "test". However, the availability of the station nationally continued beyond the end of September, and after a strong opening RAJAR figure, it was confirmed that the 90s service would continue to be available on Digital One. It remained on that multiplex until January 2015, when its slot was given over to Magic. Ahead of this change Absolute 90s began appearing on a number of local DAB ensembles from 12 December 2014, replacing Kerrang! Radio in many cases. Absolute 90s continues to broadcast nationally via satellite TV and online, and on 29 January 2018 the station went nationwide on DAB.

Absolute Classic Rock is a semi-national digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Absolute Radio Network. Its music output is non-stop classic rock hits. Formerly known as Virgin Radio Classic Rock, it originally was an internet-only radio station, and launched in 2000 under the name Virgin Classic by Lee Roberts, SMG Radio Director. On DAB Digital Radio in London, the station launched at 12:15pm with Richard Skinner introducing Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild". The launch time, presenter, and song (though not the artist) were identical to its parent station Virgin Radio. On 1 September 2008 it was announced that Virgin Radio Classic Rock would be rebranded as Absolute Classic Rock on 29 September 2008.The station was removed from Freesat channel 725 on 8 December 2011 because of "economic realities".

Planet Rock is a British digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Kiss Network. The station broadcasts classic rock music. As of September 2022, the station has a weekly audience of 1.2 million listeners according to RAJAR.

Absolute Radio Extra was a part-time radio service similar to BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra. The station was launched to broadcast the live coverage of the Premier League Games under the Rock n Roll Football brand, also broadcast on the main Absolute station and Absolute Radio 90s. The station also used to broadcast live and pre-recorded uninterrupted sets from artists and bands under the Absolute Radio Live brand, In 2010 the station broadcast live sets from festivals such as V Festival. Also comedy sets are broadcast by Frank Skinner and Dave Gorman. When off air on DAB, 'Absolute R Extra' pointed listeners to Absolute Radio 90s.

Absolute Radio 00s is a semi-national digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Absolute Radio Network. It broadcasts locally on Bauer's Inverness DAB Multiplex. It broadcasts nationally via smart speaker streaming and online web streaming. Absolute Radio 00s launched on 10 December 2010 on the Switch London DAB multiplex, replacing Absolute Radio 90s, which moved permanently to the national Digital One multiplex following a trial period. In December 2014, Absolute 00s was withdrawn from DAB in London, as part of wider alterations, but simultaneously was made available, on a placeholder basis, on DAB in Inverness. On 8 May 2020, the transmission of Absolute Radio 00s was temporarily suspended for 24 hours to allow the online capacity to be used for the one-day pop-up station Absolute Radio 40s, marking the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which also took over the AM frequencies of Absolute Radio for the day. The 40s pop-up was also added to the CE Digital London 1 multiplex as a DAB+ service.

Absolute Radio 10s is a spin-off service from Absolute Radio. The station is a rolling music service which airs music from the period 2010–2019. It launched at 10.00am on 18 November 2019. It is the sixth decades themed station to be launched by Absolute's parent company, Bauer Radio, but unlike most of its sister stations, it launched exclusively online at launch.Following an announcement that the service was to be made available in the DAB+ format in the London area from May 2021, Absolute Radio 10s began broadcasting in DAB+ on the CE London digital multiplex (co-owned by Bauer and Global) on 26 April 2021; at the same time the London feed of Absolute Radio was removed from CE (in preparation for the switch of the 105.8 FM frequency it relayed to Greatest Hits Radio in May).
