Kennedy Park is a local park in Cork, Ireland, named after US president John F. Kennedy who visited the area in June 1963. The 7.5 acre park is situated between Victoria Road and Monahan Road.

The Montenotte Hotel is a four star hotel in Cork, Ireland. Built originally as a residence named Lee View House in the 1820s, the house was extended in the 1880s, and became the 'Lee View Hotel' in the 1940s. Operating as the 'Country Club Hotel' from 1960 until 2006, the hotel was renamed and redeveloped under its current name in the early 21st century.In February 1980, U2 performed in the hotel as part of their U2-3 Tour. The cover photograph used on the U2 album "U218" and book "U2 by U2" was taken from the roof of the hotel by photographer David Corio.

Ashton School is a co-educational Church of Ireland secondary school situated in Cork, Ireland. It was founded in 1972, following the merger of the Cork Grammar School and Rochelle School. As of 2017, Ashton School had over 500 pupils.

Kent Station (Irish: Stáisiún Cheannt) is an Iarnród Éireann railway station in Cork, Ireland. Originally opened in 1893, the station operates as a hub for Intercity services to Dublin and Tralee and commuter services to Mallow, Cobh and Midleton. In 2016, Kent Station was the fifth busiest station in the Republic of Ireland, as well as the busiest outside of Dublin.

Arbutus Lodge was a restaurant and hotel in Cork in County Cork, Ireland. It was a fine dining restaurant that was yearly awarded one Michelin star in the periods 1974–1983, 1987 and 1988.The Egon Ronay Guide awarded the restaurant one star in the periods 1975–1978, 1983 and 1987. It was awarded two stars in the periods 1979-1981 and 1984–1985. In 1982 it was awarded the highest possible ranking of three stars.The Ryan family bought the estate Arbutus Lodge in 1961 and converted it into a hotel and restaurant. In 1971 the complex was opened. The restaurant quickly gained a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Ireland, which was confirmed by the international Michelin star. In 1999 they sold the hotel to the Carmody Group. Carmody's bankruptcy in 2002 also marked the definitive end of the 3-star hotel. The building was partially demolished and converted into apartments after 2005 and is no longer recognizable as a former hotel or restaurant.Head chefs of Arbutus Lodge were the brothers Declan and Michael Ryan.

The Black Market is an indoor food hall and multipurpose venue situated on Monahan Road, Ballintemple, in Cork City, Ireland. It is located in the same industrial area as Cork's Marina Market. The Black Market opened in September 2021, one year after the opening of the Marina Market, and occupies a relatively small space at the back of an industrial unit. Its name and identity derive from its aesthetic theme: nearly everything is painted matte black, including shipping containers, the roof, and furnishings.

Penrose House is a historic building in Penrose Quay, Cork, Ireland. Built in neoclassical style, it is prominently located on the northern bank of the River Lee. Penrose House was designed by George R. Pain of the Pain brothers and the construction started in 1832. Built of granite and limestone, the five-bay structure has two storeys. Some of the façade elements, including a frieze and a bay to the right of the entrance, were added over the years, and many 19th century features have been preserved, including the sculpture of St. George defeating a dragon on the top of the portico, four marble columns, as well as timber carvings and staircase.

The Cork, Blackrock and Passage Railway (CB&PR) was a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge railway in County Cork, Ireland. The line originally opened in 1850 as a 5 ft 3 in (1,600 mm) Irish standard gauge railway between Cork and Passage West and operated steam feeder ferries to other locations round Cork Harbour. The company was heavily dependent on summer tourist traffic for a considerable proportion of its revenue. The railway was converted to 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge in 1900 in conjunction with extensions southwards to Crosshaven which were completed in 1904. The railway closed in 1932 and has since been replaced by a public pathway and nature area.

Ballinlough (Irish: Baile an Locha, meaning 'town of the lake') is a mainly residential townland and suburb on the southside of Cork city, in Ireland. It is located between Ballintemple and the larger suburbs of Douglas and Blackrock.

Montenotte is an area in the north-east of Cork City, Ireland, which had an influx of wealthier merchants and a prosperous middle class in the early to mid-19th century. It was named after the late 18th century Napoleonic battle, the Battle of Montenotte, which took place in Northern Italy.Situated on a hill facing south over the River Lee, Montenotte acquired several substantial residences, some of them set in miniature estates with terraced gardens. Many of the larger houses now have institutional uses, or have been divided into apartments.The suburb comprises two electoral districts (Montenotte A and Montenotte B) within the Dáil constituency of Cork North-Central. As of 2002, the populations of these electoral districts were 1,853 and 2,723 respectively.
