Rotary Park

The Centre Street Bridge is a historic bridge in Calgary, Alberta, crossing the Bow River, along Centre Street. The lower deck connects Riverfront Avenue in Chinatown with Memorial Drive, while the upper elevated deck crosses Memorial Drive as well, reaching into the community of Crescent Heights. Centre Street Bridge is the central point of the quadrant system of the city.

9 Avenue North is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction is expected to begin in 2024 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, phase two.The station will be between 9 Avenue N and 7 Avenue N in the inner-city community of Crescent Heights. It is planned to be a low-profile urban station with curb height platforms, at-grade boarding, and will be in the median of Centre Street. The design will be smaller in scale than other Green Line stations, with narrow side-loading platforms to reflect the character of the surrounding community, and due to a constrained public realm. It will not include a park and ride. The station is surrounded by a low density residential area, local shops, Rotary Park, and is a three-minute walk from the McHugh Bluff lookout point, offering panoramic vistas of the downtown Calgary skyline. The station was not included in the city's 2017 recommendations for the Green Line. On May 12, 2020, the City of Calgary announced the addition of the station, bringing the total number of stations in stage one to 15, and the total number of stations on the full Green Line to 29.

Sien Lok Park is an urban park located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It sits between the Chinatown neighbourhood to the south, and the Bow River to the north. The park was established in 1982 by the Sien Lok Society of Calgary. The park features several sculptures and seating areas, as well as a playground. The Bow River pathway runs along the north side of the park.

The New Gallery (TNG) is a non-commercial artist-run centre that presents and promotes contemporary art in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. TNG is a not-for-profit arts organization and does not sell art. Instead, it provides a venue for artists producing new work that may be experimental in nature or not commercially viable. As with many other artist-run centres, programming is selected by a peer jury process. TNG is funded by the federal, provincial, and municipal governments, by grants from private organizations, and by donations from the public. Artists who exhibit with TNG are paid CARFAC fees. In addition to providing early exhibition opportunities for artists, TNG provided the impetus for the creation of a variety of other local cultural organizations, including EMMEDIA and the Mountain: Standard Time Performance Art Festival. TNG is also known for fostering the production and trade of Artist Trading Cards. TNG has been known by two different names in the past: the Clouds 'n' Water Gallery and Visual Production Society and Off Centre Centre.

Crescent Heights High School is a high school with an enrollment of 1934 students in grades 10-12 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The school is part of the Calgary Board of Education's public school system.

Centre Calgary was a provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1913 to 1921.

Prince's Island Park is an urban park in the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is developed on an island on the Bow River, immediately north of downtown Calgary. It was named after Peter Anthony Prince, the founder of the Eau Claire Lumber Mill. The park was built on land donated in 1947 to the city by the Prince family. It is often incorrectly referred to as "Princess Island Park". The park is open from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. every regular day.The island has a surface of 20 hectares and is linked by three bridges to Eau Claire and downtown Calgary and a north bridge to Memorial Drive and the community of Crescent Heights. It is part of the pathway and hiking trail system lining both sides of the Bow River. The southern arm of the river has been landscaped, while the eastern end of the island re-creates a wetland environment. Canada geese and mallard ducks are common birds found in the park.

Crescent Heights is a neighbourhood (formerly its own village) located in Calgary, Alberta. It is located in the inner city, immediately north from Downtown. It is bounded to the north by the Trans-Canada Highway, on the east by Edmonton Trail, on the west by 4th Street NW, and to the south by Memorial Drive and the Bow River. Crescent Heights was originally incorporated as a village on May 1, 1908. It was subsequently annexed by the City of Calgary in 1911 and established as a neighbourhood in 1914. Crescent Heights is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.The community will be linked to the city's CTrain rapid-transit system at 9 Avenue N Station when construction of the Green Line is complete in 2027.

Calgary's Chinatown is a district of Calgary located along Centre Street in the southeast area of Downtown Calgary immediately west of the Downtown East Village. Calgary's Chinese Cultural Centre with its traditional architecture and decor (styled after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing) is the largest facility of its kind in North America. The Dragon City Mall is also located in this district. The area along Centre Street north of downtown and continuing for several blocks is also very Asian-influenced and is often thought of as the city's second Chinatown. International Avenue is also a major multi-ethnic centre in the city's southeast with considerable Asian influence. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.

The Ampersand is a high-rise office complex in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It consists of three identical skyscrapers, designated as North, West and East Tower, and connected by the lobby at ground level and by a shopping gallery at Plus 15 level.

Eau Claire is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction is expected to begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as the northern terminus of construction phase one. The station is named for and located in the high density urban community of Eau Claire, immediately north of downtown Calgary. The station will be underground, integrated into the future Eau Claire Market redevelopment site. Similar to Calgary's Central Library, the redeveloped market will have a tunnel portal on the north end of the building where the line will exit the station and enter an S-curved elevated guideway over Prince's Island Park.This station will provide access to Chinatown, as well the Bow River Pathway, Princes Island Park, the Peace Bridge, the Chinese Cultural Centre and numerous office, residential, and commercial towers.

The Calgary Folk Music Festival (also known as "Calgary Folk Fest") is held in late July each year at Prince's Island Park, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. July 2022 is the Festival's 43rd edition. The four-day Calgary Folk Music Festival annually features 70 icons and upstarts from 16 countries on 11 stages in over 100 distinct concert and collaborative programming performances to a 52,000+ audience the 4th weekend of July at Prince's Island Park. A genre-bending affair, it features roots, funk, country, old-time, world and indie icons and upstarts from around the globe. Ever-evolving programming brings on-the-fly collaborations where musical arranged marriages spark one-time works of art. The 44th annual Calgary Folk Music Festival will take place July 27-30, 2023.
