Berestove (Ukrainian: Берестове) is a historical location of Kyiv. It is located in the Pechersk Raion of the city in the historic Hungarian tract. The location is situated between Lypky, Klov, Zvirynets and the right banks of Dnipro. In the past it was a princely village of Berestiv to the east from the early city of Kyiv. Today the place is part of the Park of Eternal Glory and upper parts of the Caves monastery of Kyiv (Kyiv Pechersk Lavra). The name has derived from a local name for Field Elm (Berest). In the village was located a suburban palace of Volodymyr the Great where the Grand Prince died. The palace is mentioned in chronicles of the 10-12th centuries, particularly by Nestor the Chronicler. The palace was made of stone and had two stories. It was surrounded by courtyards princely servants. Many times mentioned in the chronicles "porches"-galleries joined separate buildings into a mansion complex, representing a characteristic part of the princely dwelling. In the following years Berestiv was inhabited by the Grand Princes Yaroslav the Wise, Sviatoslav II of Kiev, Vsevolod I of Kiev and Vladimir Monomakh. Here were adopted state acts and admitted foreign ambassadors. In 1091 the palace was burnt down by Cumans, but it was rebuilt in 1113. Alas it was not preserved. The Church of the Saviour at Berestove is first mentioned as part of Saint Saviour monastery that was built around the Church of Saint Apostles (previous name for Church of the Saviour). There were buried Yuri the Long-arm (1157), a daughter of Vladimir Monomakh, Euphimia (1138) and Gleb of Kiev (1171). Another notable landmark of the place is the Church of Saint Nicholas at the Askold's Grave. It is believed that around here were killed one of the legendary princes of Kyiv Askold and Dir.

Victoria Museum is a museum of historical costume and style in Kyiv, dedicated to the urban European fashion of the Victorian era (1850 - 1920). It is the first costume and style museum in Ukraine. It is equipped with the most modern requirements. A museum has a climate control system and solar filtration.

St. Nicholas Military Cathedral (Ukrainian: Військовий Микільський собор, Russian: Никольский военный собор), popularly known as The Great Nicholas (Ukrainian: Великий Микола) was one of the military cathedrals of the former Russian Empire. It was sited in the Kyiv Fortress overlooking the Dnieper River. As a cathedral it was adopted after establishing the Russian Kyiv Fortress in the 19th century. This pentacupolar Ukrainian Baroque building was originally designed by Osip Startsev at the bidding of Hetman Ivan Mazepa to serve as the main church of St. Nicholas's Hermitage traditionally associated with Askold's Grave. The church was consecrated in 1696. It was famed for its dazzling gilded icon screen commissioned by Mazepa. A free-standing Rastrelliesque bell tower was completed in the mid-18th century. The Russian Imperial Army became the church's patron in 1831. A set of cannons near the building proclaimed its military associations. In 1934, the Soviets blew up the cathedral, replacing it with a Pioneers Palace.Struggle for a reconstruction of a temple is growing. The president of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko supported idea of restoration of a temple.Now Divine services are carried out at open-air near to a place where there was a temple earlier. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Ukrainian: Могила невідомого солдата) is a war memorial located in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, dedicated to the soldiers of the Red Army killed in the Second World War. It is situated at the Memorial of Eternal Glory inside the Park of Eternal Glory. The memorial is a 27 meters high obelisk, with an eternal flame burning at the tomb. The Alley of Heroes leads to the tomb.

The Church of St. Nicholas is a Neoclassical style rotunda in the Askold's Grave park of Kyiv, Ukraine. This former Russian Orthodox church was designed in 1809 by the Moscow-born architect Andrey Melensky and was underwritten by Samuil Meshcheryakov, a merchant from Voronezh. The general contractor for the project was Vasiliy Serikov. The construction cost 8,000 rubles and the church was consecrated on 1 September 1810.

Askold's Grave (Ukrainian: Аскольдова могила, romanized: Askoldova Mohyla) is a historical park on the steep right bank of the Dnipro River in Kyiv between Mariinskyi Park and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra complex.

The National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide (Ukrainian: Національний музей Голодомору-геноциду, romanized: Natsionalnyi muzei Holodomoru-henotsydu), formerly known as the Memorial in Commemoration of the Holodomor-Genocide in Ukraine, is Ukraine's national museum and a centre devoted to the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933, a man-made famine that killed millions in Ukraine. The museum was opened on the day of the 75th anniversary of the Holodomor in 2008. It gained the status of a national museum in 2010. The museum is located on the Pechersk Hills on the right bank of the Dnieper river in Kyiv, adjacent to the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

The Park of Eternal Glory (Ukrainian: Парк Вічної Слави, romanized: Park Vichnoyi Slavy) is a park in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is located between Lavrska Street and the Dnipro Descent, and is surrounded by the Old Kyiv-Pecherska fortress, and the Glory Square.

The Church of the Saviour at Berestovo (Ukrainian: Церква Спаса на Берестові, Tserkva Spasa na Berestovi; Russian: Це́рковь Спа́са на Бе́рестове, Tserkov’ Spasa na Berestove) is a church located immediately north of the Monastery of the Caves in an area known as Berestove. Although it is situated outside the Lavra fortifications, the Saviour Church is part of the Lavra complex and the related World Heritage Site.

Mystetskyi Arsenal National Art and Culture Museum Complex, also known as Mystetskyi Arsenal (Ukrainian: Мистецький арсенал, translated as the «Art Arsenal») — is Ukraine's flagship public cultural institution, a museum and art exhibition complex located at 10–12 Lavrska Street, in Kyiv, Ukraine.The total exhibition area of the historic venue is 60,000 m2, one of the largest in Europe. The institution's stated mission is to modernize Ukrainian society through raising awareness of social issues, fostering communication with the international community, and introducing outstanding local and international artists to the world. The complex was visited by 173,550 visitors in 2018. It hosted 6 exhibitions, 2 festivals, 299 guided tours, 52 educational projects and 13 large-scale theatrical productions the same year. The venue also hosts Ukraine's biggest annual book fair, attended by 50,000 visitors.The complex is legally under the control of the State Management of Affairs.

The Gate Church of the Trinity (Ukrainian: Троїцька Надбрамна церква, romanized: Troits’ka Nadbramna tserkva; Russian: Троицкая Надвратная церковь, romanized: Troitskaya Nadvratnaya tserkov’) is a historic church of the ancient cave monastery of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Originally being built as a Kievan Rus' style church, the Gate Church of the Trinity is now decorated in the Ukrainian Baroque style, having been reconstructed many times through its history.

Arsenal Special Device Production State Enterprise (Ukrainian: Казенне підприємство спеціального приладобудування «Арсенал», romanized: Kazenne pidpryiemstvo spetsialnoho pryladobuduvannya Arsenal), also known as the Arsenal Factory, is one of the oldest factories in Kyiv.
