St. Pius X - St. Matthias Academy is a coeducational private, Catholic high school for grades 9–12 located in Downey, California. Pius X High School (Pius X) was a co-educational, private, four year (grade levels 9-12) high school located at 7851 Gardendale Street, in the city of Downey, California. The school was founded in 1953, and named for St. Pope Pius X.

Marco Antonio Firebaugh High School, also known as Firebaugh High School - or just FHS, is one of the three high schools in Lynwood, California. The others are Lynwood High School and Vista High School. It is a part of the Lynwood Unified School District. Marco A. Firebaugh High School was founded in 2005. Since February 2008 Firebaugh High School has been an IB World School in the Diploma Program. Its first graduating class was in the 2008–09 academic school year. It currently holds freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Firebaugh High School adopted Lynwood Middle School as part of its high school in the 2009–10 school year (Grades 7–9).

Rosecrans Avenue is a major west-east thoroughfare in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California, USA. It has a total length of 27.5 miles (44.3 km). The street is named after U.S. Union General William S. Rosecrans, who purchased 13,000 acres (5,300 ha) of Rancho Sausal Redondo southwest of Los Angeles in 1869. Rosecrans Avenue was originally named Drexel Avenue, and ran through the Rosecrans Rancho which is part of modern-day Gardena.

The Rio Hondo (Spanish: Río Hondo, meaning "Deep River") is a tributary of the Los Angeles River in Los Angeles County, California, approximately 16.4 miles (26.4 km) long. As a named river, it begins in Irwindale and flows southwest to its confluence in South Gate, passing through several cities (though not the city of Los Angeles). Above Irwindale its main stem is known as Santa Anita Creek, which extends another 10 miles (16 km) northwards into the San Gabriel Mountains where the source, or headwaters, of the river are found.
