CBS Studio Center is a television and film studio located in the Studio City district of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. It is one of two production facilities in Los Angeles owned by Paramount Global, the other being the studios of Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. The lot has 18 sound stages from 7,000 to 25,000 square feet (700 to 2,300 m2), 220,000 square feet (20,000 m2) of office space, and 223 dressing rooms. It is the headquarters of CBS Studios but is not open to the public for tours. The triangular site is bisected by the Los Angeles River. The company also previously had ownership of two other studios in the area: CBS Television City and Columbia Square.

Carpenter Community Charter School, formerly Carpenter Avenue Elementary School, is a public K-5 elementary school in Los Angeles, California. Carpenter Community Charter is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school is in Studio City. The school was opened in 1924 under the name Carpenter Avenue School and is still in the same location. The Administrative Building was constructed in 1938 in PWA Moderne styling. It was originally a high school. The current principal of the school since 2010 (as of August 2021) is Joseph Martinez and the assistant principal is Melodie Hong. In September 2002 the school had a newer, larger library built complete with an Internet connection.For the 2008–2009 school year Carpenter had an enrollment of 847 students with the following racial/ethnic profile; White 76.3%, Hispanic 8.7%, Asian 8.1%, Black 4.6%, Filipino 1.3%, Other 1%. Carpenter is not eligible for Title I funding. Carpenter receives approximately $300,000 annually via the fundraising efforts of parents.On June 16, 2010, Carpenter Avenue Elementary School became a Charter school. It then changed its name to Carpenter Community Charter School.Carpenter has multiple events, including the Carpenter Cooked, an event where children cook meals, Carpenter Movie Night, and the yearly gala. The school motto is "Cultivating young minds for the modern world."

The season premiered on June 24, 2015, on CBS, and once again was a two-night launch with the following episode airing on June 25, 2015. The season ended on September 23, 2015, with a 90-minute season finale following the fall season premiere of Survivor: Cambodia. The season featured the highest number of HouseGuests to date with 17 HouseGuests in total. On September 23, Steve Moses won the game in a 6-3 vote against Liz Nolan.

On September 21, 2016, Nicole Franzel won the game in a 5-4 vote against Paul Abrahamian. The season lasted for 99 days making it the longest running season in the show's 16-year history.

Big Brother 8 was the eighth season of the American reality television series Big Brother. It is based upon the Netherlands series of the same name, which gained notoriety in 1999 and 2000. The series premiered on CBS on July 5, 2007 and lasted eleven weeks until the live finale on September 18, 2007. The eighth season saw little to no change in ratings. The season premiered to 7.40 million viewers, the lowest premiere numbers for any season at the time. The season finale had 8.51 million viewers, making it the second lowest rated finale at the time. In total, the series averaged 7.52 million viewers, only 0.4 behind the previous edition. Big Brother 8 featured 14 HouseGuests, the same amount that was featured in the previous season. The series ended after 81 days, in which HouseGuest Dick Donato was crowned the winner, and his daughter Daniele Donato the runner-up.

The premise of the series remained largely unchanged from previous editions of the series, in which a group of contestants, known as "HouseGuests", competing in challenges for power and safety before voting by voting each other out of the house to be the last HouseGuest remaining. The September 5, 2013, broadcast marked the show's 500th episode. On September 18, 2013, Andy Herren won the season by a 7–2 vote over runner-up GinaMarie Zimmerman.

Big Brother is an American television reality competition show based on the original Dutch reality show of the same name created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The series takes its name from the character in George Orwell's 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. The American series launched on July 5, 2000 on CBS and is currently the second longest-running adaptation in the Big Brother franchise to date, after the Spanish version. The show broadly follows the premise of other versions of the format, in which a group of contestants, known as "HouseGuests", live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world for a cash prize of $500,000 (or $750,000 in the 23rd season). The HouseGuests are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, HouseGuests are evicted from the house, by being voted out of the competition. In its inaugural season (which followed the original Dutch format), ratings declined and critical reaction grew increasingly negative, prompting the series to be revamped for the second season, which focused on competition and gameplay.On July 23, 2020, after production delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced that the 22nd season would be an "All-Stars" edition (consisting of only previous houseguests), premiering on August 5, 2020. The "All-Stars" format was originally used in season 7. A twenty-fourth season of the series is set to premiere on July 6, 2022.The show also produced two spin-offs: Big Brother: Over the Top, which aired for one season and was the first reality game show to air exclusively on a streaming platform airing in Fall 2016 on CBS' streaming service, CBS All Access; and Celebrity Big Brother, which aired on CBS in February 2018.

The premise of the series remained largely unchanged from previous editions of the series, in which a group of contestants, known as "HouseGuests," compete to win the series by voting each other off and being the last HouseGuest remaining. One HouseGuest, known as the Head of Household, must nominate two of their fellow HouseGuests for eviction. The winner of the Power of Veto can remove one of the nominees from the block, forcing the HoH to nominate another HouseGuest. The HouseGuests then vote to evict one of the nominees and the HouseGuest with the most votes is evicted. When only two HouseGuests remained, the last seven evicted HouseGuests, known as the Jury of Seven, would decide which of them would win the $500,000 prize. A HouseGuest can be expelled from the show for breaking rules, such as exhibiting violent and disruptive behavior. On September 19, 2012, Ian Terry won the season by a 6–1 vote over Dan Gheesling, who was crowned as the runner-up and became the first HouseGuest in Big Brother history to reach the Final Two twice.

Big Brother 19 is the nineteenth season. of the American reality television series Big Brother. It is based upon the 1999 Dutch series of the same name. The season premiered on June 28, 2017 on CBS in the United States with a two-hour season premiere and Julie Chen returning as host. The season was titled "Summer of Temptation" with the various contestants able to receive a temptation which gave the taker a surprise reward or game advantage but also unleashed a game change for one or more other players. Viewers at home were able to vote to offer selected chosen players a secret temptation. A weekly opt-in competition, known as the Temptation Challenge, would give the winner immunity from the week's nomination but also put the last-place finisher on the block as a third nominee, able to compete in the weekly Veto Competition and avoid a backdoor nomination. On September 20, 2017, Josh Martinez won the game in a 5–4 vote against returning Big Brother 18 runner-up Paul Abrahamian, earning the latter the distinction of being the first person to receive the runner-up prize two years consecutively.

Celebrity Big Brother, also known as Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, is a reality television spin-off series of the American adaptation of Big Brother created by John de Mol. The series began on February 7, 2018 on CBS in the United States and was simulcast in Canada on Global. The series is filmed at CBS Studio Center in sound stage eighteen located in Studio City, Los Angeles. Julie Chen Moonves reprises her role as host from Big Brother with Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan also returning as executive producers. The series is produced by Fly on the Wall Entertainment in association with Endemol Shine North America. The premise of the series remained largely unchanged from the main edition of Big Brother, in which a group of contestants, known as "HouseGuests," who live in a purpose-built house, known as the Big Brother House, with no contact from the outside world. The contestants compete in competitions for safety and for power over the household before voting each other out in an attempt to be the last HouseGuest remaining and win a grand prize. The difference from the parent series is the inclusion of "Celebrity" HouseGuests (those with notoriety prior to participating in the series), the time frame (a month as opposed to 3 months) and a smaller grand prize ($250,000 as opposed to $500,000) Each season is also transmitted in real-time which allows for greater viewer participation in the form of America's Vote where the public can give their favorite HouseGuest various prizes ranging from luxury items to advantage to help them survive inside the House. Prior to the live season finale, the viewers are able to vote for their America's Favorite HouseGuest with the winner getting an auxiliary prize of $25,000. The first overall season of Celebrity Big Brother worldwide premiered in the United Kingdom in 2001 while an American version of the format has been speculated since 2002. The first season of the American adaptation was announced during a live double eviction episode of the nineteenth regular season on September 7, 2017 by Julie Chen. The first season was scheduled during the February 2018 sweeps period to counterprogram NBC's coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics. The series premiere was the number one program for CBS attracting 7.27 million viewers and the highest-rated season premiere since Big Brother 13. The program was often covered in the media due to the inclusion of Omarosa Manigault and her political revelations in the first season. In September 2021, CBS renewed Celebrity Big Brother for a third season, which premiered on February 2, 2022.

The series premiered on CBS on July 7, 2011 and lasted ten weeks until the live finale on September 14, 2011. The 13th season continued to have an increase in ratings, much like the previous two seasons had. The season premiered to a total of 7.89 million viewers, a slight increase from the previous season's launch. The season finale had a total of 7.78 million viewers, only slightly lower than the previous season. In total, the series averaged 7.95 million viewers, higher than that of the previous three seasons and the highest since Big Brother 5 in 2004. Big Brother 13 featured a total of 14 HouseGuests, six of which were previous HouseGuests from past seasons. The series ended after 75 days, in which returning HouseGuest Rachel Reilly was crowned the Winner, while new HouseGuest Porsche Briggs was crowned the Runner-up.

The series premiered on CBS on July 9, 2009 and lasted ten weeks until the live finale on September 15, 2009. The eleventh season saw a slight increase in ratings when compared to the past season of the series, which had some of the lowest ratings to date. The season premiered to a total of 6.59 million viewers, a slight increase from the previous season's launch. Despite this, it is the second lowest premiere for a season behind Big Brother 10. The season finale had a total of 7.78 million viewers, continuing to average slightly above the past season. In total, the series averaged 7.19 million viewers, higher than that of the previous two seasons. Big Brother 11 featured a total of 13 HouseGuests, one of which was a returning player from a previous season. The series ended after 73 days, in which HouseGuest Jordan Lloyd was crowned the winner and Natalie Martinez the runner-up.
