Southern Luzon State University (SLSU; Filipino: Pamantasang Pampamahalaan ng Timog Luzon), formerly known as Southern Luzon Polytechnic College (SLPC), is the premier, state-funded higher education institution in Quezon Province in the Philippines operating by virtue of Republic Act 9395. It is composed of 11 campuses in the province of Quezon, with the main campus situated in the Municipality of Lucban. SLSU is mandated to provide advanced education, professional, technological instruction in the fields of allied medicine, education, engineering, agriculture, fisheries, forestry, environment, arts and sciences, accountancy, cooperative, business and entrepreneurship, technology and other relevant fields of study in the Province of Quezon and in Region IV-A CALABARZON. It is also mandated to undertake research and extension services and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization. By virtue of Republic Act 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act signed by President Rodrigo Duterte, SLSU will no longer be collecting tuition fees from its local, first degree undergraduate students.

Lucban, officially the Municipality of Lucban (Tagalog: Bayan ng Lukban), is a municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 54,134 people. It is dubbed as the Summer Capital, Art Capital, Dance Capital, Tourist Capital, and Rice Capital of Quezon province. The town is also known for its annual Pahiyas Festival, which is held every May 15 in honor of San Isidro Labrador. The municipality is locally the 'Baguio' counterpart of the province.

Its titular is Saint Louis, Bishop of Toulouse.

The Minor Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel, commonly known as Tayabas Basilica, is a Roman Catholic basilica located in Tayabas, Quezon, Philippines, under the Diocese of Lucena. Its titular saint is Michael the Archangel, whose feast is celebrated every September 29. The basilica is the largest in the province of Quezon; built in the shape of a key, it has the local moniker "Susì ng Tayabas" ("Key of Tayabas"). The church's 103-metre (338-foot) aisle is also one of the longest naves among the country’s Spanish colonial era churches.

Tayabas, officially the City of Tayabas (Filipino: Lungsod ng Tayabas), is a component city in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 112,658 people. The city is known for various historical landmarks like ancestral houses, more than twenty Spanish colonial stone bridges, 16th century stone crosses believed to be abodes of nature spirits, festivals, and local delicacies like lambanog and various desserts, alongside resorts and rest and recreation facilities. It was the former capital of Quezon (then named Tayabas). The prevalent architectural sites of the city, including its bridges, has led numerous scholars to campaign its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Malagonlong Bridge (Spanish: Puente de Malagonlong) and (Filipino: Tulay ng Malagonlong) is a five-span 445 ft (136 m) long stone arch bridge built during the Spanish colonial period in Tayabas, Quezon, Philippines. The bridge is known as one of the oldest bridges as well as the longest bridge made during the Spanish era. It was declared a National Cultural Treasure under the Historic Bridges of Tayabas on August 12, 2011.

Mounts Banahaw–San Cristobal Protected Landscape is a protected landscape park in the Calabarzon region of the Philippines, 120 kilometres (75 mi) south of Manila. It is the second largest protected area in Calabarzon, after the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape, with an area of 10,900.59 hectares (26,935.9 acres). The park is located at the border of Laguna and Quezon provinces and includes the features it is named after: Mount Banahaw and, 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to its west, Mount San Cristobal. The two dormant volcanoes contain some of the most extensive closed canopy forests in Laguna and Quezon. The mountain park serves as an important watershed for the surrounding plains. Its accessibility to Manila and other major urban areas in Calabarzon makes it a popular destination for tourists and mountaineers. It is also visited by pilgrims being considered a holy site by certain religious denominations in southern Luzon.

Calabarzon (officially stylized in all caps; English: ; Tagalog: [kalɐbaɾˈsɔn]), sometimes referred to as Southern Tagalog (Tagalog: Timog Katagalugan) and designated as Region IV‑A, is an administrative region in the Philippines. It is situated southeast of Metro Manila and is bordered by Manila Bay and the South China Sea to the west, Lamon Bay and the Bicol Region to the east, Tayabas Bay and the Sibuyan Sea to the south, and Central Luzon to the north. Comprising five provinces—Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon (hence the acronym)—and one highly urbanized city, Lucena, it is the most populous region in the Philippines, according to the 2020 census, with over 16.1 million inhabitants. It is also the country's second most densely populated region, after the National Capital Region. Calamba in Laguna serves as the regional center, while Antipolo in Rizal is the most populous city in the region. Before its creation as a separate region, Calabarzon, along with the Mimaropa region, the province of Aurora, and parts of Metro Manila, comprised the historical region known as Southern Tagalog until they were separated in 2002 through Executive Order No. 103. The history of the area now known as Calabarzon dates back to early historic times. Local historians believe that three of the 10th century place-names mentioned in the Philippines' earliest known written document, the Laguna Copperplate Inscription, pertain to regions or polities (bayan) along the shores of Laguna de Bay; and some Filipino-Chinese scholars believe the 10th century trading polity known as Ma-i may actually have been the predecessor of the present day town of Bay, Laguna. Since the Spanish colonial period of the Philippines, the region has served as home to some of the most important Philippine historical figures, including the Philippine national hero, José Rizal, who was born in Calamba.

Sariaya ([sɐɾˈjajɐ]), officially the Municipality of Sariaya (Tagalog: Bayan ng Sariaya), is a municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 172,018 people making it the second most populous local government unit (LGU) in Quezon after the capital city of Lucena, and the most populous municipality in the said province. As the only Mount Banahaw town in both Quezon and Laguna Provinces that has a sea coast, the town is famous for its pristine beach resorts and nature-trekking activities that lead adventurous hikers to the peak of mythical Mount Banahaw. With more than a hundred of cultural properties and ancestral houses mostly built in Art Deco architecture within the municipality, Sariaya is considered as the Heritage Town of Quezon and the Art Deco Capital of Southern Luzon. This heritage town has been branded by various cultural experts as a 'cultural gem worthy of a UNESCO designation.' The local government of the municipality with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts of the Philippines were designated to work for the heritage town's inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Quezon Science High School (QSHS, QueScie/QueSci, Kisay or Quesay) is the provincial secondary Science High School of Quezon, located along the diversion road of the Maharlika Highway inside a 3.7-hectare government property in Barangay Isabang, Tayabas City in the province of Quezon. It was founded on 2011, admitting 80 students from all over the province who passed the Quezon Science High School Admission Test (QSHSAT) provided with complete scholarship offering free tuition fees, board and lodging, foods, uniforms, and other miscellaneous school fees.

Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church, also known as the Diocesan Shrine of Santo Cristo de Burgos and commonly known as Sariaya Church, is a Roman Catholic church in Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Lucena. Based on the historical marker of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the first structure was constructed in 1599. The second church was built in 1605 but was replaced by a third church in 1641. In 1703, the town was transferred to Lumangbayan but the earthquakes and floods of 1743 destroyed the church and the town caused the people to transfer to the present site. The present church was built in 1748 during the term of two Spanish friars, namely Fr. Martin de Talavera and Fr. Joaquin Alapont.
