Tarkington High School

Tarkington Prairie is a primarily rural unincorporated community spread out over approximately 238 square miles (620 km2) in northeastern Liberty County, Texas, United States. The community's fire protection is provided by Tarkington Volunteer Fire Department, emergency medical services by Liberty County EMS, and law enforcement by Liberty County Sheriff's Office.

Macedonia is an unincorporated area in northern Liberty County, Texas, United States. Formerly a distinct community, it is located 5 miles (8.0 km) northeast of the junction of Texas State Highway 321 and Farm to Market Road 1008 and 16 miles (26 km) northwest of Liberty. In 1914, a syndicate in Chicago, Illinois purchased 12,000 acres (4,900 ha) of land near the Beaumont, Sour Lake and Western Railway to form a community of Greek people that was intended to supply truck crops to supply the Galveston and Houston markets. The syndicate named the community "Macedonia," after a Baptist church in the area that had been established in 1845. Some Greek emigres worked at the local sawmills; the community did not organize in a manner that the founders had intended. A post office opened in 1915 and closed in 1922. Population estimates in subsequent decades ranged from 15 to 25. In the 1950s, the population was mostly African-American. In 1984, several scattered buildings and a church remained at the site.

Macedonia is an unincorporated community in northeastern Williamson County, Texas, United States. The site, which at one time had a distinct community, is located on Farm to Market Road 971 and Opossum Creek, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southwest of Granger. In 1988, a cemetery was the sole place in the former settlement.

Lucile Plane State Jail is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice state jail for women located in unincorporated Liberty County, Texas. It is located on Texas State Highway 321, 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Dayton. The facility, on an approximately 394-acre (159 ha) plot of land, is co-located with the Hightower Prison Unit and the Henley State Jail. Plane is designed to hold 2,144 prisoners. Plane, the first women's state jail to be opened in Texas, was dedicated in June 1995.

Dempsie Henley State Jail is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice state jail for women located in unincorporated Liberty County, Texas. It is located on Texas State Highway 321, 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Dayton. The facility, on an approximately 394-acre (159 ha) plot of land, is co-located with the Hightower Prison Unit and the Plane State Jail. Henley is designed to hold around 500 prisoners.Henley was dedicated on Friday, June 30, 1995. The facility was named after Dempsie Henley, who served as a Liberty County judge. Henley served for 16 years before he retired around January 1995. Henley had a stroke around that time, and he died on May 16, 1995.

Dayton Lakes is a city in Liberty County, Texas, United States. The population was 93 at the 2010 census. Prior to 1985 Dayton Lakes city was a developed and marketed recreational subdivision named Dayton Lake Estates. In January 1985 the corporation that marketed the original subdivision held and election of residents and when the election was successful, they petitioned the District Court in Liberty County, Texas and The City of Dayton Lakes, TX, a Non Profit Corporation, was created as a city/town. The actual document was filed and recorded on January 19, 1985. Those corporate papers are the city's legal identity.

Liberty County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 91,628. The county seat is Liberty. It was founded in 1831, as a municipality in Mexico as Villa de la Santísima Trinidad de la Libertad by commissioner José Francisco Madero and organized as a county of the Republic of Texas in 1836. Its name was anglicized as Liberty based on the ideal of American liberty.Liberty County is included in the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, TX metropolitan statistical area.

Kenefick is a town in Liberty County, Texas, United States. The population was 563 at the 2010 census.

Splendora High School is a public high school in unincorporated Montgomery County, Texas, United States. It is the only high school within the Splendora Independent School District. The school's attendance zone includes the cities of Splendora and Patton Village. For the 2018–2019 academic year, the school received a C grade from the Texas Education Agency. It is the sole comprehensive high school in its district, which includes Splendora, Patton Village, and sections of Cleveland and Deerwood.

The Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District is a privately funded entertainment complex scheduled to open near Houston, Texas, in the United States, in the 2020s. The district will consist of eight venues: the Grand Texas Theme Park, Big Rivers Water Park, a retail center called Grove Factory Outlet, Downtown Texas, Speedsportz Racing Park, Grand Texas Sportsplex, Gator Bayou Adventure Park, and Grand Texas RV Resort.

Grand Texas Theme Park is a theme park currently planned near Houston, Texas, in the United States. It will be located within the Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District in New Caney, Montgomery County at Interstate 69 (US Highway 59) and SH 242. in Patton Village. Site work began in July 2013, and groundbreaking was in December 2017. It will feature seven theme areas related to Texas history and culture.

Lake Houston Wilderness Park is a wooded parkland that encompasses 4,786.6 acres. It is the only park owned by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department that has overnight camping and lodging. There are over 20 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails available inside the park.
