Dempsie Henley State Jail

Lucile Plane State Jail is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice state jail for women located in unincorporated Liberty County, Texas. It is located on Texas State Highway 321, 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Dayton. The facility, on an approximately 394-acre (159 ha) plot of land, is co-located with the Hightower Prison Unit and the Henley State Jail. Plane is designed to hold 2,144 prisoners. Plane, the first women's state jail to be opened in Texas, was dedicated in June 1995.

Dayton High School is the only high school in the Dayton Independent School District, serving the cities of Dayton, Dayton Lakes and Kenefick, and the unincorporated communities of Eastgate, Stilson, as well as a significant portion of Old River-Winfree.The school has over 100 classroom teachers, 20 office and support staff, 4 principals, 4 counselors, and 2 curriculum coordinators. Its dual enrollment students are serviced by Lee College, a community college located 27 miles away, in Baytown, Texas.The current head principal is Geoff McCracken. Chris Conner serves as the assistant principal for students in the 9th grade, with Shayann Johnson, Thomas Swagger, and Savannah Zinter being the assistant principals for students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades with surnames beginning with A-Gr, Gu-Pe, and Pi-Z respectively. Travis Young served as head principal for many years prior to McCracken's placement in his current position.

Dayton Lakes is a city in Liberty County, Texas, United States. The population was 93 at the 2010 census. Prior to 1985 Dayton Lakes city was a developed and marketed recreational subdivision named Dayton Lake Estates. In January 1985 the corporation that marketed the original subdivision held and election of residents and when the election was successful, they petitioned the District Court in Liberty County, Texas and The City of Dayton Lakes, TX, a Non Profit Corporation, was created as a city/town. The actual document was filed and recorded on January 19, 1985. Those corporate papers are the city's legal identity.

As one of the only two secondary schools and the only high school part of the Liberty Independent School District, it is attended by students from the cities of Liberty, and Ames as well as the unincorporated communities within Liberty County, including Moss Hill west of the Trinity River. Students compete in UIL region 4A. In 2022, the school received a "B" rating from the Texas Education Agency.

Macedonia is an unincorporated community in northeastern Williamson County, Texas, United States. The site, which at one time had a distinct community, is located on Farm to Market Road 971 and Opossum Creek, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southwest of Granger.
