Emamzadeh Abdollah-ye Shomali Rural District

Fereydunkenar (Persian: فريدونكنار, also Romanized as Fereydūnkenār, Fereydūn Kenār, Fāridūn Kinār, and Fereidun Kenar; also known as Qaşabeh) is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Fereydunkenar County, Mazandaran province, Iran, and also serves as capital of the county. At the 2006 census, its population was 34,452 in 9,278 households, when it was in the former Fereydunkenar District of Babolsar County. The following census in 2011 counted 36,192 people in 10,922 households, by which time the district had separated from the county to establish Fereydunkenar County. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 38,154 people in 12,606 households.

After the census, the district was separated from the county to establish the new Fereydunkenar County, and the rural district's constituent villages were divided among several newly constituted rural districts.

The following census in 2011 counted 2,598 people in 827 households, by which time the village was in the newly established Fereydunkenar County. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,719 people in 937 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,145 in 555 households, when it was in the former Emamzadeh Abdollah Rural District of the former Fereydunkenar District of Babolsar County. The following census in 2011 counted 2,457 people in 732 households, by which time the village was in the newly established Fereydunkenar County. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,465 people in 824 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.
