Falgortrevy is a townland lying within the Civil parishes in Ireland of Maghera, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It lies on the western boundary of the parish and is divided into two portions; Falgortrevy (main portion) and Falgortrevy (detached portion), separated by small portions of the townlands of Craigadick and Tullyheran. The detached portion is also bounded by the townlands of Craigmore and Tirnony, whilst the main portion is also bounded by the townlands of Ballynahone Beg and Fallagloon. It wasn't apportioned to any of the London livery companies, being kept as church lands. The townland in 1926 was part of Tullykeeran district electoral division as part of the Maghera dispensary (registrar's) district of Magherafelt Rural district. Falgortrevy as part of Maghera civil parish also lies in the historic barony of Loughinsholin.

It is bounded by the townlands of; Ballynahone Beg, Craigmore, Falgortrevy, Largantogher, Moneymore, Mullagh, Tamnymullan, and Tullyheran. Situated in the north of the parish, the two townlands are separated by the Moyola River, of which the southern portion was held by a person surnamed "Clark". Together they are bounded by the townlands of; Ballynahone Beg, Bracaghreilly, Drumcrow, Fallagloon, Lisnamuck, Moneyshanere, and Tobermore. It was apportioned to the Vintners company. Ballynahone Bog (from Irish Baile na hAbhann 'townland of the river') is a raised bog, situated in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, about 3 km south of Maghera, on low-lying ground immediately north of the Moyola River about 14 km from its mouth at Lough Neagh. It is one of the largest lowland raised bogs in Northern Ireland.

Tobermore (), from Irish An Tobar Mór, meaning 'the great well') is a small village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, named after the townland of Tobermore. The village, which has a predominantly Protestant population, lies 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-south-west of Maghera and 5.5 miles (8.9 km) north-west of Magherafelt. Tobermore is within the civil parish of Kilcronaghan and is part of Mid-Ulster District. It was also part of the former barony of Loughinsholin. Tobermore has won the Best Kept Small Village award four times and the Best Kept Large Village award in 1986. In September 2011, Tobermore won the Translink Ulster in Bloom village category for the third year in a row.

The townland was part of Tobermore electoral ward of the former Magherafelt District Council, however in 1926 it was part of Tobermore district electoral division as part of the Maghera division of Magherafelt Rural District.
